1 pkgs gelatin
6 cups sugar
2 bottles of wine
fruit for garnish

Sample the wine to make sure of its quality.

Gather ingredients:

1 ¼ Teaspoons of unflavored powdered gelatin
¼ cup sugar
1 ½ cups wine

sample wine again to make certain of the temperature. Wine tends to taste differently once exposed to air.

In a saucepan, combine 1 ½ cups wine, ¼ cup sugar and bring to a low simmer over a moderate heat tasting frequently to make sure that the sugar is properly dissolved…

remeasure wine and sugar then dump the burnt mess into the sink. Get new pot and start over. Test wine and mix again…repeat process before opening fresh bottle of wine. Take a short nap of about 5 minutes, then begin process for final time.

Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat, nap for 28 minutes on kitchen counter while mixture cools. Sprinkle gelatin over mixture and let soften for 5 minutes, while splashing cool water onto face, warm over moderate heat until gelatin is dissolved, about 1 minute. Remove from heat, let cool slightly then pour into decorative containers. Cover with plastic wrap and let cool overnight in refrigerator, while comfortably resting on cool tile of bathroom floor after drunk-dialing recipient of wine gelée.

Pour strong cup of black coffee and sip slowly as you nurse the killer headache, decorate gelée with fruit when ready to serve to Kuon.
