AN: Hey guys! It's been a long time since I started writing for Harry Potter again, and I will be the first one to admit that I never finish any of them. So I've decided to try something different with this one! I've already pre-typed up 5 chapters and will post a new chapter each week! Hopefully if life doesn't get in the way, I will write a new chapter up each week as well. Oh, and before I forget, this story will follow the books to a certain extent plot wise obviously, so their will be the Chamber of Secrets will happen, she'll meet Sirius in third year and stuff like that.
Summary: What if Sirius had a daughter? What if before he was sentenced to Azkaban after Lily and James' death, he sent her away to live with another family? This is the story of his daughter, and her life as she navigates childhood and life in Hogwarts. Who will she befriend? What house will she be in? Can life be easy knowing that your own father is the mass murderer known as Sirius Black? Hi, my name is Orion Sierra Black.
Chapter 1:
September 5th, 1979
"What do you mean that she's pregnant?'
A young Sirius Black sighed as he stirred his cup of tea with his free hand, the other hand propping his head up as he stared down at mug as if it was going to be his last one that he ever had. He was currently in the Potter household, trying to explain to his best friends that he had shagged one of the Order members months ago and she was now coming to him telling him that she was pregnant.
Pregnant, like Lily Potter was currently pregnant. Sirius took a chance to look up from the mug, glancing at his friends faces one by one. Lily looked frustrated, James looked rather amused, and Remus looked disappointed. Peter, Peter wasn't there. He was a lot busy as of late and none of them knew the faintest clue why. But with everything going on... and with them all being in the middle of a war, well everyone knew it wasn't wise to bring a child into the world. Just ask Lily and James.
"Well... honestly Pads, I don't know what to say." James started, shaking his head, although his shoulders still shook with clear amusement.
"Except that you're a dumb bloke for getting Mckinnon pregnant in the first place!" Lily exclaimed and she promptly whacked Sirius over the head.
"Ow!" Sirius exclaimed, rubbing at the back of his head and scowling a bit at Lily. "It's not like I planned it."
"Lily's right, Sirius." Remus started and shook her head. "I mean, you've always been a little rash and irresponsible... but these are dark times, bringing a child into this world, especially when you aren't pregnant like Lily and James are... well it was entirely daft of you to do so."
"I know that, I know that guys!" Sirius exclaimed, he ran a hand through his hair and he huffed out a breath. "But now she is, and... and i haven't the faintest idea what it is I'm going to do. We're both in the Order, we're both in the middle of the war... and now... now we're both having a bloody kid."
They all remained silent after that, not sure what to make of the situation that Sirius had gotten himself into.

It had merely been just a little under three months since Sirius discovered he was to be a father to a woman that he barely knew, outside of snogging and shagging her at school and then life with the Order. Although Marlene had known for a month or so before she informed him. And that was about it. But here he was, at the hospital with her so the two of them can find out the sex of their unborn child.
They had barely uttered a word to one another, outside of a simple hello as a greeting. And now they at in silence, waiting for the healer to return to the room. Marlene was perched up on the bed, her legs cocked open with a blanket thrown over her to give her some privacy. Sirius had enough modesty in him to not look at her too much. He did't know why, it wasn't like he hadn't seen her naked already before.
"So..." Marlene started, and she finally looked over at Sirius. "You've barely said much of a word since we got here, Black." She told him, "And... we both know that's not like you." She said with a small laugh. "You love to hear yourself talk."
Sirius looked up from his hands, only then noticing that he had been toying with hands the entire time they were in the room.
"Do you not want to talk about any of this?" Marlene asked him, offering the tiniest bit of a smile.
"Bloody hell... I'm not sure of what we could possibly talk about McKinnon." Sirius stated as he looked at her.
"Well perhaps we could talk about the huge boggart in the room." Marlene said in a matter-of-fact tone. "What are we going to do when the baby is born?"
"I guess we will have to just... share custody of it." Sirius said with a shrug of his shoulders. "I'll take it a few months, and then you, and then me... and then when it goes to Hogwarts, we will... share holidays."
"It? It... Sirius make our child sound like some... object." Marlene told the male and scowled at him.
"Well I don't know what to call it! Not yet at least, we'll find out soon enough, now won't we?" Sirius asked her.
Marlene rolled her eyes, "For Merlin sake, Black. Of all the people I could get stuck with as the father of my child..." She muttered.
And Sirius paused, wondering if she truly meant that as an insult. He then couldn't help but chuckle, "Blimey Mckinnon, and of all the girls I shagged from school to adulthood, including you, who'd would've thought huh?" He asked with another chuckle then, and Marlene stared at him, before she mustered out a small laugh of her own.
"Look at us... we're going to be parents." Marlene said with a laugh.
"Yeah... the two of us." Sirius said, looking at her then and he barked out another chuckle.
The healer soon entered the room a short while later, humming as she waved her wand around.
"Well Ms. McKinnon... Mr. Black," The Healer waved her wand more, and tiny little sparks appeared from it, until a small image of what Sirius could only assume was the fetus of the unborn child. "... if you look closely enough, you'll see two tiny hands, and right there is your baby's feet." She waved her wand again, and the sound of thumping filled the room.
Sirius eyes had widened then, and even as the Healer informed them that, that was the baby's healthy heartbeat, he didn't have be told, the look of awe was clear as day on the young man's face. He was hooked, he was in love. He was in love with a baby that he didn't even know yet. He was so focused on the sound of the heart beat, that he barely heard the Healer tell them the gender of the baby.
"Merlin willing, you'll have a healthy baby girl."
And Sirius snapped his gaze up at the Healer, and then to Marlene, who was staring at him with a tearful smile and hope in her eyes, and he couldn't help but return the look. A baby girl... blimey he was in trouble.

"Ow!" Remus Lupin raised a brow as he walked into he and Sirius' flat, and his other brow raised when heard a slew of curse words next. He chuckled, wondering what his friend could possibly be doing with his time. He removed his coat, hanging it up in the closet and he looked around the living area. Their was a bunch of boxes and bags thrown about and he shook his head as he walked down the hall.
Remus didn't bother going to his own room, instead he passed that straight up and went to Sirius room. The sight he was greeted with, made him burst into a fit of genuine laughter. "What are you doing?"
Sirius didn't bother looking up from the crib as he slammed the hammer down onto the nail head, and he paused after a moment, glancing up at his flat mate and best friend. "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm putting the crib up for my pup." He explained to Remus as he return to reading the instructions on the manual.
"And might I ask..." Remus leaned against the door of the room, "Why you didn't use your wand to set all of this up?" He asked curiously.
"Because, because McKinnon and I were visiting James and Lily so she and Lily can discuss.. pregnancy things I guess. And I told them that I had bought all that stuff for the pup for when it's my turn to care for her, and I told them that it would be easy to put together with my wand." Sirius said, and Remus couldn't help but snort because obviously he could see where it was going. Sirius continued, "Well James bet me that I wouldn't be able to put the crib, or that little... swinging thing up on my own, and I told him I could without the wand. And then McKinnon started laughing and bet me as well, so here I am." He grabbed a screw and positioned it.
Remus shook his head, "Sirius, just use your wand, they'll never know." He told him. "You keep at this, and you'll be working on the crib even after the baby is born." He pushed off the door and started to walk to his room, but he soon stopped and turned back around. "What's all the bags in the living room?"
"Oh!" Sirius jumped up and he grinned, "I went down to the muggle stores, and bought the pup so many good clothes. I can't wait to take pictures of her in the outfits." He looked excited the way that he spoke of it.
Remus had to admit, even he was skeptical of the whole... Sirius being a father thing in the beginning. But he had faith in his best friend, and gradually over time, he watched Sirius warm up to the idea. So it was comforting and exciting to see him so excited and thrilled to be a father. It was going to take some getting used to, having a baby around 6 months out of the year, but he was sure they would be able to handle it.
"McKinnon says I'm buying too much, but I don't think I am, she's-"
The sound of the Floo bursting to life caught both the men's attention.
"Padfoot? Padfoot! You here?" James' voice rang through the flat and he rushed down the hall.
"Yes, we're back here James, blimey what's got you so riled up?" Sirius stood up, brushing his hands onto his pants and he looked at James as he stumbled into the room.
"McKinnon, she..." James sucked in a breath to calm himself down. "She was at work... she- she went into labour." He explained, leaning against Remus for support as he had rushed there to get Sirius as quickly as possible.
The color seemed to drain from Sirius face at the revelation. "What?" He croaked out, soon frowning. "B-But... she's not due for another two months. The healer said-"
"Bloody hell Sirius, there's a such thing as early labour. And you need to get to the hospital immediately." Remus told the other man.
Sirius shook his head, suddenly nervous. "B-But... what about the crib?" He motioned to the pile of pieces of wood on the floor of his room.
James pulled out his wand and pointed it at the crib pieces. Within a mere second, it was put together and ready. "Sirius go!" He barked out.
Sirius grabbed his coat and stumbled past him.
James turned to look at Remus and the two grinned at each, both coming to the conclusion that they were going to be uncles sooner rather than later.
"St. Mungos hospital!" Could be heard coming from the living room, and within moments, Sirius was gone.
Alright! There's the first chapter and already, a lot has been done. We find out Sirius is the father of Marlene McKinnon's child, we learn the baby is a girl, and Marlene goes into labour. I decided that I wouldn't jump straight into the first year at Hogwarts (The first book). I wanted to get some backstory in first. Let me know how you all like it so far?
