Iron man Yes, Tony Stark … Not Recommended
Natasha was so screwed.
She used to do everything possible to save the day with a minimum of lost. And now, even her death wasn't enough.
She was dead for nothing.
And Stark almost saved the day.
How is it possible? She always has thought that Steve would have been the one to do it. Not the Egotistic and Self-centered Tony Stark.
How was she so badly wrong? Especially considering Steve - Generous and Moral Steve - was the one who has condemned the Multiverses to die.
She was stuck on this orange Limbo on Vormir since an Eternity. Able to see what happened after her death. And now she has a choice to make. A choice which can change the Destiny of the Universe.
She doesn't know How. She doesn't know Why. But she has the possibility to start again. To save the day. Everything was on her shoulders now. This choice will definitely remove all of the Red she has and will have on her ledger.
She just has to choose the good date on the Calendar. The new starting point.
Firstly, she was thinking to come back just before Thanos and Wakanda battle. Wakanda has … had the resources and the technologies to help her to save the World.
Staying with Steve. Helping him to understand how it was wrong to stay in the past. Explaining to him how the Multiverses is going to collapse because of his only selfish decision.
Steve has a strong moral compass. It is going to be easy to convince him. She has no doubt about it.
The other good point with Wakanda is being able to avoid Stark.
This selfish little prick.
She always had to manage him to make him do things for her … for the Avengers.
She was right with her profile. Everything was always about him in his mind. Reminding all the time to everyone who can hear him how he saved the day in New York. Teasing people about the big threat he had seen into the storm hole…
Ok.
He was right about that.
For once.
But he was still a very bad team player. Even Steve was saying it.
Especially once Wanda has joined the Avengers. The amount of time Steve, Natasha, and even sometimes Vision -he always have had a soft spot about the Android. Who knows why…- had to ask him for more money.
Money that the Team desperately needs to hunt HYDRA. To find Barnes.
It was easier with SHIELD.
Sometimes she has some regret about SHIELD Fall.
Maybe she can go there instead. Avoid the SHIELD to fall with HYDRA. Like that, no more Stark handling. Just the good old SHIELD.
Fury was understanding a threat when he was seeing one. He could help her. With all of the SHIELD force behind him. No one should never have to trust Stark. Once again, ULTRON …
But SHIELD Fall was before ULTRON. And they need ULTRON to have Wanda in the Avengers. Wanda is an Asset to have in the Team to fight Thanos threat.
What can she do? Coming back after ULTRON and have Wanda in the Team or before SHIELD Fall and avoid Stark worst threat?
Before the SHIELD.
The thing is, without ULTRON and the Avengers pushing Tony away as punishment, Wanda would have been a threat too.
Except if Loki's glowing Stick is not falling into HYDRA's hands.
Also, Steve shouldn't stay passive if he knows Barnes is alive and suffering. This is not a parameter she can control. HYDRA is always going to start the Insight Project and send Barnes to Kill Fury.
After, if HYDRA wasn't in the SHIELD, she would have been able to save Barnes from HYDRA long before this moment.
With Steve as his handler, the Winter Soldier could be a great Asset for the SHIELD and the Avengers.
But before the SHIELD Fall, he was a ghost. And after, … Well, without JARVIS help, it wasn't better.
And it was impossible to use JARVIS without Stark knowing about his relative death.
Maybe telling it to Stark is an option.
If she is controlling the story it can turn in her favor. She just needs to have Potts, Rhodes and maybe his driver -what was his name already?- when she is going to tell him.
Stark is always complying better when they are in the area.
Steve is not going to like that.
So, she has to come back before the SHIELD Fall and long enough to have the time to catch Barnes.
Maybe she can come back before Stark's little fight with the Mandarin? Like that she can help him with his personal threat.
His personal mistake again.
It is going to give him a reason to help them to find and cure Barnes without losing his mind as he did in Siberia.
But it has to be after New York. No way she is going before. It may change Loki's Invasion outcome.
And she would have to change her profile about Stark and play nice with him to be on his good side.
The Avengers - the real ones- have to know which kind of Passive Stark is.
