I do not own Descendants or anything Disney
The Year is what?
Everyone of the VK's and AK's were stunned to say the least. 'Mom?' 'Dad?' nothing was making any sense to anyone.
"Cool Uma! You get to be an Aunt!" Gil exclaimed happily for his captain, oblivious to everyone else's thoughts.
"Uh uh. No way! I am no one's aunt! There must be some mistake." Uma kept shaking her head at the concept that this kid even spoke it out loud.
"Oh I can definitely see it now." The boy with the sword shirt said smugly and the two girls nodded their yes's too.
"Can I previously state What the fuck?" Jay spoke to Harry.
"I'm just trying to follow along on what's happening." Harry replied back.
"Why are you wearing those clothes daddy?" The girl that had bows on her shirt spoke up and asked Carlos.
"You're talking to me?!" Carlos asked her… well he started to panic when asking her.
"Uh huh," she nodded, "You look funny in that." And a small smile crept on her face and she giggled a bit looking Carlos over in his usual Isle leather outfit.
"This day just keeps getting more strange by the second." Jordan commented and her group couldn't help but nod while looking at the four kids in front of them.
"Guys I think I might know what happened." Doug addressed his group. He took a couple steps towards the girl who was wearing glasses. He couldn't help but gently smile when he bent down to her level and could see her eyes better. He recognized them immediately from his favorite person in the whole world. "If I ask you a question could you please be honest with me?" He spoke quietly and calmly to her. She could hear him loud and clear since all attention was now on them. No one made a peep because they also wanted answers.
The girl with glasses just nodded a yes. "For us it's the year 2019. Is it the same for you?" Doug asked.
Her eyes instantly went wide with horror and her face started to turn a sickly gray. She looked back at her 3 friends and found them in the same state. Dougs' group wasn't faring any better and went slack jaw at the implication of his question. When the girl with glasses turned back to Doug she shook her head slightly still in too much shock to speak.
"Thank you for being honest with me." Doug still kept a small smile on his face and then stood to turn and face his friends. "The bright light in the dining room earlier and Mal said she felt powerful magic. That has to be it. Guys were in the future."
"I-I-I…" Audrey fainted right then.
"That went well." Jordan said sarcastically looking down at the princess sprawled out on the floor.
"What makes you say that Doug?" Aziz asked him.
"Please tell me that was sarcasm." Celia asked him.
"Why would it be?"
"The girl just told us it isn't the year 2019. That is a pretty good indication that we're in the future." Celia pointed to the girl in glasses while talking. Hoping that his brain finally caught up.
"So what year is it?" Chad asked any of the kids. His curiosity peaked for sure.
"2039." The bow girl answered him.
"20 years!" Harry exclaimed in shock.
"I need more sleep. Yeah that's all. I'm sleep deprived. Nothing more." Jay mumbled to himself and started to pace behind his group of friends watching his feet as he walked a path back and forth. "Need more sleep. Need to eat more. Drink more water. Exercise. Yeah. Keep my body healthy. Yeah."
Ben could only shake his head at his friend's rant. Hoping to steer the conversation in a different direction Ben asked, "Excuse me, what are your names?" He was speaking to the boy with the blue hair.
"Hmm." He said turning to face his young father, "oh sorry, took me a moment longer to process. Sorry again, but My nam-"
"STOP!" The girl with glasses shouted coming out of her own thoughts. No one said anything more, no one moved and even Audrey woke up to the scream.
She turned to the group of young adults. "We don't know the implications that could happen if we got into future information with any of you. I love my friends and family. Nothing bad can happen to them. Please let us make some phone calls. I know it's not ideal to not even know our names, but please. Just… let us try to figure all this mess out." Her eyes begged for the older ones to understand and agree.
Doug was the closest to her and could tell she was getting a bit misty eyed. He dropped down to one knee and looked her in the eyes, "I promise we won't push you for information. Do what you need to, but also don't tell many others about this. Sound okay?" And the girl nodded her head letting one lone tear roll down her cheek. Doug promptly took a finger and wiped it away. "Everything is going to be okay. We promise. Go make your phone calls." And he nodded towards the doors.
The girl with glasses bit her lip gently looking at him. Clasping her fingers in and out of her palm. She was at war within herself at the moment. 'I really want to hug daddy and thank him for making me feel better, but … I can't get close to this version of daddy. Even if my dad is-' her thoughts were interrupted by her friend.
"Hey, let's go step outside." The swords shirt boy said quietly and put his hand on her shoulder and gestured towards the door. The girl in glasses hadn't broken eye contact with Doug yet, but started to walk backwards towards the door for a couple feet till she finally turned around and left outside with her friends.
"Doug, are you okay man?" Akiho asked walking up to stand beside him when Doug stood.
"I will be." Doug said and turned back to his group of friends. "I wonder who they are calling though."
