ATM: The Bonehead and the Brain – Faith Star and the Blue Thunder Kid
As DX regains control of the NXT roster, Seth Rollins and his God girls realise that they mighthave underestimated just how powerful Sasha's new Gift is.
Chapter Eighteen – The Blue Storm
The Hardys, Cameron, North Carolina
Jeff Hardy looked up out at the sky from his living room window seeing the clouds from the pending storm disappear. The state had been on edge since it was announced that a dreadful storm would be coming. The news of the change in weather was very welcome and things were pretty much back to normal in the Tar Heel state. The same could not be said for the McMahon-Hardy household; things hadn't been normal for a long-time. Jeff had hoped that the events of Saturday would go someway in encouraging his wife to reconsider her plans to get the DX jewels back. Now with the storm withdrawing, Jeff Hardy was convinced God was giving his family a chance to change direction and not go through with the plans that had been laid out for weeks.
Stephanie slammed her bag down furiously as Jeff looked out of the living room window. She had just spoken to Kendrick Alexander who was at Harvard fixing her restricted access lab. Becky and Alexa were long gone; somehow they had been rescued and her plan to obtain the DX family jewels was ruined once again.
"I cannot believe this! How did they get Becky and Alexa out of that lab?! It was sealed tight! There was no way they could have gotten in or out!" Stephanie argued.
"Honestly Steph, I'm just relieved that they're okay. If they're not at the lab that means they didn't get poisoned and that can only be a good thing," Jeff said to his wife and Stephanie sighed.
"Get over it Jeff, Becky and Alexa aren't your friends anymore. I'm the only friend you've got and don't you worry; I've got plenty more tricks up my sleeves," Stephanie said joining her husband at the window. As Stephanie's arms curled around her husband, Jeff gave a deep sigh touching his wife's hands.
"You're not going to stop until you've gotten those jewels are you?" Jeff said and Stephanie kissed his neck.
"That's right my love, so hold on tight Jeff: the fun has only just begun!" Stephanie said with a smile. She seemed invigorated despite her very clear defeat by the God girls. It made Jeff tremble at what his wife had planned; whatever it was he knew God wasn't going to be happy about it.
Abiyah's nursery, North Wing of the Sandbox
Faith Star was counting Abiyah's toys as she was pretty sure that some were missing. It turned out that Abiyah had gotten into the habit of hiding things in his hair, including his plush star shapes that her parents had bought for him. Faith Star rubbed her chin intrigued; there were about seven of them missing. While in the process of standing up and crashing back down over and over again, Faith Star was able to retrieve all seven stars from the thick black locks of Abiyah's hair.
"Wow, seven stars," Faith Star said impressed and as she reached for the seventh one, she got a slight electric shock. "What was that?!" she said looking at the star and Abiyah went to pick up his favourite blue bear. He hugged it close to himself before putting it down to do a little dance around the nursery. Faith Star went to put the bear back in its place in her attempt to keep the nursery tidy and when she picked it up, she got another little shock. "What is going on here?!" she said to herself as Seth came into the nursery. He had brought everyone back from the hospital, only Bianca stayed behind with Becky and Alexa. As soon as they had fully recovered, he told Bianca to make sure they all came back to the Sandbox together. Montez and Roman were still over at the Sandbox and they were downstairs in the DX family room talking to Sasha while the DX family made fun of Stephanie in the kitchen while making dinner for everyone.
"Hey there lil' man!" Seth said going over to his son who was enjoying a little solo dance time. "I see you're up from your nap, how long has he been up?"
"We've been playing for around ten minutes," Faith Star replied and Seth nodded.
"That's good, he's full of so much energy!" Seth said looking at his son happily.
"Not all that energy might be his," Faith Star said coming over to Seth. "I think that you would agree that Aunty Banks spends a lot of time in this nursery right?"
"Yeah I'd say that was a safe bet," Seth replied as Abiyah quit dancing and went back for his blue bear.
"Well I think that Blue Thunder thing is supercharging Abiyah's nursery," Faith Star said and Seth frowned at her.
"What?!" he said.
"It's true Uncle Seth! Everything that Abiyah picks up is electifried," Faith Star said and she nodded to the blue bear. "Ask him for his bear and you'll see what I mean,"
"Okay," Seth said and he went over to Abiyah and told him to share his blue bear. Abiyah decided to run away with it instead while laughing. He ran all around the nursery until Seth finally scooped him up, only to drop him instantly and Faith Star caught him. "Oh my God!" Seth gasped.
"What happened?!" Faith Star said as Seth felt himself.
"When I picked him up, I got shocked. My son is full of electricity!" Seth said horrified.
"So its not coming from the toys, its actually coming from Abiyah," Faith Star said holding onto Abiyah, "but he's not shocking me right now, how come he shocked you?"
Seth thought about it before answering, "Because he was running away from me, while he was running he must have chaged himself up, so when I caught him, I got shocked," Seth said shaking his head. "I do not like this one bit,"
Seth reached for his son and when he did so he didn't get shocked. Abiyah seemed fine so he decided to test out his theory one more time.
He put Abiyah down and took the bear, Abiyah started to cry and Sasha heard it and came up to the nursery right away.
"What's wrong By?" Sasha asked her son and Seth threw the bear at her. Abiyah reached for it and when Sasha went to give it to him, she got shocked, "Whoa, what was that?!" she said as Abiyah picked up his bear and hugged it to himself lovingly. "I could have sworn Abiyah just shocked me!"
"He did," Seth said unamused and Sasha gasped.
"You mean, my Gift is rubbing off on him?" Sasha said.
"Everything he touches become electrified," Seth said and Sasha sunk down on the nursery floor.
"Oh great, now what am I gonna do? I can't have Abiyah picking up on my Blue Thunder, what if he hurts somebody?" Sasha asked concerned and Faith Star sat next to her.
"Well to be fair, he only shocked me because I found the stars that he had hidden in his hair. And he only shocked Seth because he took his blue bear away from him. From what I've seen today, if you don't mess with Abiyah, he's pretty safe," Faith Star said and Sasha furrowed her brow in thought.
"Are you saying, that my son is using Blue Thunder as a defense mechanism?" Sasha said.
"I'm not saying he's got Blue Thunder, it could just be the residue of Blue Thunder that he's picking up because of all the time you spend with him," Faith Star said and Sasha looked up at Seth.
"How come you didn't notice this?" she asked him and Seth threw his hands up innocently.
"Excuse me if I didn't think our newborn would conduct electricity before his first birthday," Seth said in his own defense and Sasha lay back on the floor like a starfish.
"Gees Seth, I gotta admit, I kinda like the idea of Abiyah using electricity to his own defense. I'm just not sure if this is the type of thing that a child should play with. I think we need some guidance on this," Sasha said as Faith Star made a star shape next to her.
"Sure, don't worry about it my love. I'll talk to Bianca about it when she comes over tomorrow with Becky and Alexa," Seth said and he went over to Abiyah who had stopped playing with his blue bear and had found much more interest in a ladybug. "Oh, that's not a toy Abiyah, that's dead bug. You can't play with that," Seth said to his son.
Abiyah cried as Seth went to throw the ladybug out the window. Abiyah reached for the bug and Seth lowered his hand so that Abiyah could see the bug, "It's dead Abiyah, I have to put it out," Seth explained and Sasha and Faith Star came over to see the ladybug.
"Oh, it was so pretty too," Sasha said and Faith Star nodded.
"Ladybugs are my favourite," she said and Abiyah put his hand over the bug.
"Ah, he shocked me!" Seth cried out and the ladybug started to move and eventually it got up and flew away while Seth shook out his hand.
Faith Star and Sasha watched as the ladybug flew away, "That thing was dead," Sasha said to Seth as Abiyah waved goodbye to the ladybug.
"I don't think Abiyah was trying to shock you Uncle Seth. I think he brought that ladybug back to life," Faith Star said and she smiled brightly at the Rollins. "Looks like I'm not the only kid in the family with a Gift after all," she said beaming and Seth and Sasha looked at each other. Now their son had really left them both totally in shock. After bringing a total of thirty eight other dead insects back to life, Seth and Sasha were convinced that their son had a Gift and they were not at all eager for him to get rid of it.
"My God Sasha," Seth said to the Boss from the Palatial Garden where Abiyah and Faith Star were now playing, "If he can bring insects back from the dead now, imagine what he could do when he's older?!"
"I know its so exciting!" Sasha said looking at her son proudly. "I can't wait to tell Roman!"
Seth looked at his wife cautiously, "Let me talk to Bianca before we tell anyone else about this. If we're going to share this new development with Roman, I want all the details I can get," Seth said and Sasha nodded.
"You're right, let's wait," Sasha said and she smiled at Seth, "We're really turning into quite a powerful family aren't we?" she said proudly.
"Yeah we are, just like I always wanted," Seth said and he pulled Sasha into a kiss while Faith Star played with Abiyah wondering if there really was anything else to know about his new Gift.
"Come here Abiyah," she said to Seth and Sasha's little boy and he came over to her smiling. Faith Star cradled him and she said, "I'm going to call you the Blue Thunder Kid. We're gonna make a great tag team. We'll be Faith Star and the Blue Thunder Kid and we are going to change the world!"
Abiyah hugged Faith Star as if approving of his new name. God certainly approved of it, as He had told Faith Star to give it to him. Faith Star's declaration had been written by the Lord Himself and He planned on being there every step of the world, as the little tag team made good on their pledge to turn the world upside down.
