Chapter Twenty Four – Saying Yes with Your Mouth Closed

The Rock's Mansion, Hollywood, CA

Shawl took Seth to the Rock's mansion and he landed by the pool at the back of the house. As Shawl rested on Seth's shoulders, the Prayer Warrior walked into the Rock's house. Rocky was expecting him, Seth had been asked to come over to meet with Bayley about officiating their wedding ceremony in a couple of weeks. As Seth walked through the downstairs area of Rocky's mansion, he thought about all the times he had spent in the Rock's home with his wife Sasha. It was like they were on the run for the most part of their early days as a married couple. Bayley's antics sent them looking for shelter as they suffered through attack after attack, finally finding refuge at the Sandbox. Before the Sandbox, it was the Rock's mansion where Seth and Sasha spent most of their time together and now Seth found himself there once again because of Bayley.

Even though Seth believed that Rocky and Bayley could be a good couple, what he had learned from Bianca Belair earlier in the day, had shifted his mood from peaceful prayer warrior, to angry mentor and friend of Beth Hardy, the girl whose life Bayley and Stephanie had no problem trying to ruin.

Seth looked around; the house still had his wife's touches all over it, cream and gold furniture that hadn't been removed and there where photos of Seth and the Four Horsewomen still on the walls. Seeing this caused Seth to wonder, as he waited for Bayley, what was going on in her Black Hearted head. Was she just blindly following Stephanie McMahon's wishes while secretly wanting to reunite with all her old friends? Or had she simply not gotten around the redecorating the place? Maybe Rocky and Bayley were going to move out and Rocky was going to sell the place after they got married. Right now, Seth didn't care. All he wanted to do was hear what Bayley had in mind for the wedding and then he wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. At least, that's what Seth was telling himself he wanted to do. The Truth was much more complicated than that but the God girls were working out the complications back at the Sandbox, he was just going to answer Bayley's request and leave to be with the people he knew for a fact were not in Stephanie McMahon's pocket.

As Seth looked through to the pool house from the Rock's living room, Bayley appeared wearing a black off the shoulder loose shirt with skinny jeans and wrap around heeled boots. The smile on her face indicated that she was happy to see him but Seth didn't know what was going on in that Black Hearted mind of hers. He blew off her smile and got straight down to business.

"So, you wanted to see me?" he said matter-of-factly and Bayley nodded smiling.

She was in no hurry to respond, "I just wanna drink all this in," she said gesturing to Seth's physical appearance, "Do you ever not look great?"

Seth side-stepped the comment, he was determined to keep the conversation as neutral as possible. "Rock said you wanted to talk to me about the wedding, what do you want to talk to me about?" Seth said simply.

Bayley stepped towards him, "You did such a great job officiating the Helmsley-MacKenzie wedding ceremony, so I thought you might want to officiate mine," Bayley said brightly.

"Yeah, I'll do it," Seth replied unemotionally and Bayley jumped up and down excitedly.

"That's great Seth, Rocky will be so happy," Bayley said and she hugged Seth but he didn't hug her back. Bayley stepped back and acknowledged the lack of emotion Seth had towards her. "That's okay, I'm not expecting you to be elated about anything to do with me right now. I haven't totally lost track of reality, I know you think I'm a totally despicable person," Bayley touched her hands to her heart and looked at Seth sincerely, "The fact that you're doing this means so much to me. You might not see it now but when you look back, you'll realise how awesome it was for you to do this. The day will come when you'll no longer hate me Seth and I have no problem waiting for that day. Thank you so much for doing this for me,"

Bayley stuck her hand out for Seth to shake and he shook it nonplussed, "You're welcome Bayley," he said and he stepped away from her, "I'll see you at the wedding rehearsal,"

"I'll send you the details," Bayley said with a smile as Seth headed to the pool house to leave on Shawl.

Bayley shook her head as Seth left, the menace of her Black Heart returned to her face and the whole room seemed to darken as Seth departed the Rock's mansion. Bayley sour mood returned.

"Things could have been so different Seth but you chose to go with the Boss, all of this is on you," Bayley said to herself.

Seth didn't even have to say that he was upset with her about the last scenes of the first season of the Black Heart Diaries; his face spoke a thousand words. It bothered Bayley that he hadn't lashed out at her for getting Beth Hardy involved in her Black Heart project. It bothered her because Seth could say so much without opening his mouth and he still managed to make her feel like the bad guy without even saying it. Still, he did agree to do the wedding and that would have to be enough for the Black Hearted One, for now. What happened between Bayley and Seth after the wedding was anyone's guess but the God girls were not leaving it to chance. They already had a plan and they were going to carry it out and ensure that Beth Hardy left the set of the Black Heart Diaries with her soul still intact.

The Sandbox

Meanwhile back at the Sandbox, Sasha was spending time with Abiyah and Faith Star while the God girls planned a way out of the situation Bayley was going to put Beth Hardy in. When Seth returned, he came upstairs to the nursery to check on Sasha and Abiyah.

"Is everything okay?" Sasha asked him as Abiyah played with Seth's hair.

"I saw Bayley and she confirmed that she wanted me to officiate the wedding, so that'll be happening in a couple of weeks," Seth said as he kissed Abiyah's cheek.

"She didn't try and mess with your head, did she?" Sasha asked Seth and he shook his head that she didn't. Sasha looked down briefly before speaking and she looked up at Seth, "I know I shouldn't be asking but if there's something going on with Bayley, you can tell me babe. You don't have to protect her from me," Sasha stood up, "I'm trying to stay out of your business, I know you and the God girls have business to take care of before we leave for Saudi Arabia. I just had to ask, I wanna make sure you're okay," Sasha said sweetly but Seth just smiled, not saying anything.

"You're in a really good place Sasha, I'm not going to have anyone spoil that. Whatever's going on, just know that the God girls and I, we got this." Seth replied and Sasha nodded.

"Okay, then just do what you do and make the world a better place," Sasha said and they kissed lovingly for a moment.

"I'm a take Abiyah downstairs with me," Seth said and Sasha nodded as Seth left with her son, leaving her in the nursery with Faith Star.

"Hello?" Sasha said answering her phone. It was Ric Flair.

"Sasha, I need your help. Ashley's lost her mind, she's made a decision that could get her in serious trouble. Can you please go and see her?" Ric asked Sasha.

"Me?" Sasha said surprised. "but I haven't spoken to Charlotte on a friendly basis in forever,"

Sasha could tell that Ric Flair was upset and whatever Charlotte had done must have been bad because he was calling her for help. After awhile, Sasha relented.

"Okay, I'll go see her," Sasha said.

"We'll be in Connecticut for a business meeting. Come to WWE HQ and we'll meet you there, I'll explain everything when you get here," Ric said and Sasha pocketed her phone and looked at Faith Star.

"We're going to Stamford," she said and she took an unenthused Faith Star downstairs to tell Seth that Ric Flair had called her about something Charlotte had done. After Seth said that it was okay for her to go, Sasha left taking Faith Star with her.

Seth and the God girls looked at each other smiling after Sasha left, "The plan is in motion," Bianca said knowing that Ric's call was no accident and Sasha was now a part of their plan to get Beth Hardy out of trouble, even if she didn't know it. As far as Seth and the God girls were concerned, what the Boss didn't know, wouldn't hurt her. If she found out what was going on with Bayley and Stephanie and the Black Heart Diaries, there was no doubt that a lot of people would get hurt. Keeping his wife in the dark for the time-being was essential and Sasha was about to show her husband just how useful she could be when she didn't know what was going on.
