...You promised,
you would be with me,
through thick and thin,
in happiness and sadness,
in heaven and hell,
in chorus and silence.
You promised me,
a life of togetherness,
a home with happiness,
a friend with shoulder,
a partner of lifetime.
You promised you would be there,
when I close my eyes,
when I remember you,
when I need you,
when I feel lonely.
You promised me an eternity.
You promised me,
not to break your promise.
Those were mere words? Now when I walk through the deserted road feeling all alone I wrap jacket around me tightly. I try to feel you in happiness but you never appear. I try to feel you through pain but you never answer. I close my eyes, I remember you, I call you, but you never response. Where is your promised eternity? You promised me a home but all I have is a house. Where is that friend? Where is that partner you promised me?
Were all of this too much for you? And you found an escape? Only if you knew, all I needed was, you.
