She'd done exactly that. She'd cornered Brittany and regurgitated what she'd practised with Mercedes and Brittany had stated that she wanted to be Santana's girlfriend.

And then school had restarted and suddenly Santana found that her sexuality mattered and so they decided to keep it quiet.

Maybe some relief but he had no right to reveal such private information and she wasn't ready to face the consequences of coming out. To lose her Aubuela to have everyone know. She found solace in calling Mercedes and together they grieved for their relationships, but Mercedes seemed to believe that she'd made the right choice letting Sam go. Singing with Sam had been a stupid idea, but it had led to a conversation with Brittany and she'd decided to follow Brittany's advice and go to New York.

The next time she saw Brittany was when Sam called her back. Getting the information out of Brittany was harder than she'd expected, but she'd gotten there. Her ex girlfriend was a genius. She'd always known it.

fter the New Directions won sectionals and the impromptu wedding, she'd got Brittany alone. "I'm gonna miss you so much BrittBritt." She told her, allowing herself to cry.
"I'll miss you too." Brittany had responded and they'd shared a kiss before drying their eyes and returning to the group.

She hadn't seen Brittany for a long time when she came back to celebrate the New Directions and she was excited to come back even if it meant watching Schuster fawn over Rachel Berry again. But walking into the room and seeing Brittany had been the very last thing she'd expected.

She couldn't believe how thoughtful her fiancé was, and even though it didn't work knowing Brittany had tried so hard meant everything to her.
