A/N: Hey all! I posted this story a long time ago and I'm finally getting around to the second chapter. Sorry life got super busy, but I plan on posting whenever I get the time. I hope you all are still reading this. Please enjoy this chapter!

Your friend was in very bad shape when you brought him in, but he's more stable now...

The first thing Reegar could remember when he woke up was that he was in excruitating pain...that was no longer troubling him? The marine slowly sat up on the stiff clinic bed and looked over the med-bay he was in. He was back in space and he doesn't remember returning back to the ship at all. Where am I?

At first, Reegar was slightly afraid because he could not remember what happened before he passed out, but he knew for a fact that he landed on a nearby planet for help. "So you're awake now?" Reegar jumped at the voice and turned his head to see the small blonde woman from before sitting next to him.

Reegar's memory was a little foggy from before, he couldn't remember her name but he did recognize her face. She extremely pretty for a human - that he notated instantly after taking in her delicate features for the first time. "Who are you?" Reegar questioned the unknown woman, feeling very relieved that his enviro-suit was not removed.

"Melia." The woman answered his questioned with a cheeky grin that made his heart race. "What's yours?" she questioned back returning the same amount of suspicion he had with her.

"Reegar." The hot-blooded marine lifted his feet from the bed and turned his body to the side to get off the bed. "How did I get here? I don't remember." he stated wanting to know his whereabouts so that he can contact the fleet, if he needed to.

Melia moved to open her mouth to answer his question, but Tali entered the room to answer that question for him instead. "Reegar!" the female quarian wrapped her arms around him in a hug which he quickly returned. "I'm so happy to see that you are okay." she chimed very happy to see him.

"Same to you, ma'am." Reegar responded respectfully like he always had with Tali and ignored the feeling of his heart pounding in his chest. There was no other woman he respected, aside from his mother, more then he did with her. It didn't matter how many times she corrected him, that wasn't going to change.

When Tali finally released Reegar from her embrace, she turned to Melia who was still sitting by the bed. "Thank you for helping him, Melia." Tali spoke kindly to the stranger like she always had, but there was a certain warmness in her tone that Reegar instantly caught on to.

"It's no trouble, Tali." The little woman stood up to her feet to look up at both of them with a smile. "I'm happy I could help." There was a warmness to her tone as well that made Reegar wonder how long he had been out for. It felt like hours, but it could have been longer than for all he knew.

Tali moved her arm up to activate her omni-tool and she turned to Reegar to inform him of their current situation. "I got a message from the migrant fleet. They said that the meeting is urgent and I have to attend or I'll risk being banished." The news came as a shock to Reegar because everything was fine when they initially left the first time. He couldn't help but wonder what had changed.

"The information on Haestrom was accurate, correct?" Reegar asked.

Tali nodded her head and used her hand to gesture her feelings since the mask on the enviro-suit covered her expressions. "Yes, it was. I got the message a few days ago, but they allowed me to wait for you to wake up." she explained and Reegar could sense her frusteration.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go." Reegar released a grunt as he forced himself to stand up to his feet. Melia could sense he was struggling, and he waved her off when she tried to help him. She wouldn't be any help to him anyways, and he didn't want to hurt her with his weight either.

The door to the med-bay opened, Commander Shepered entered the med-bay and nodded to Reegar. "How are you feeling?" he questioned.

Reeger placed a hand on his side and nodded his head. "Never been better." he grunted trying to straighten his posture. The pain wasn't nearly as bad as it was before, but it still did feel pretty sore.

"That's good." Shepard turned his attention to Melia and smiled at her. "Melia, you wanna come with us? Tali needs us at the migrant fleet and it's on the way back to the citadel."

Melia nodded her head and grabbed her duffle bag that she left on the floor. "Sure thing, Josh. It has been a long time." she grinned calling the commander by his first name. They must have known each other for a long time - Reegar never heard anyone ever refer to Shepard by his first name! How interesting.

"Good. Let's get going." Shepard led the small team out of the med-bay and over to the shuttle to get ready for the mission at the migrant fleet.
