Author's Note : Thank you my readers. Review!
"I've missed you so much." Lucas confessed. Caressing her face with his hand.
Brooke swallowed hard. "I've missed you too. But i can't do this. Yes I'm in love with you. But i can and will learn to feel the same way about him. Owen is a decent guy. We'll have a nice life together. What we had is over. You made you're choice. And i'm making mine." She declared.
"Babe I'm home i bought dessert!" Owen called out. As he entered the entry way of the home.
"You don't have to go through with this. End the engagement." Lucas replied.
"I won't do that. Break his heart like you broke mine. Go home Luke please!" Brooke pleaded.
Lucas kissed her again.
Brooke kissed him. Breathing heavily. Feeling him bite down on her neck.
"Oh god Lucas!" She moaned into his ear.
When Lucas left the home out of kitchen back door.
Brooke went to the sink and turned on the water.
Splashing cool water on her face. As Owen came into the kitchen.
"Are you okay.?" Owen asked.
"Yeah i was just hot. Trying to cool down. Let's see what you brought for us." Brooke said with a smile.
...
Haley stared down at her engagement party invite. She didn't check adding a plus one because she wasn't bringing her husband. This was supposed to be a happy time for Brooke and she wouldn't allow him to ruin it.
Keith/Karen's Home
"The wedding is happening. She said she isn't breaking off the engagement. She's going to marry him and i'm going to lose her forever." Lucas announced.
"You aren't going to give up without a fight. Of course she wants to stay with Owen. Her feelings for him mean nothing. She doesn't want to get heart broken again by you. I don't blame her. Which is why need to figure out what you are going to do and put aside you're pride and jealousy for Owen." Karen replied.
...
On the day of my engagement party. I thought i would only have to circle around my parents and Arthur but when Lucas showed up with the boys. I knew he was here for me. Which is why i avoided him every chance i got.
"Why are you avoiding Lucas.?" Victoria asked.
Brooke looked back at her mother with a surprised expression.
"Since when are you a fan of Lucas Scott.?" Brooke asked.
"The way he looks at you. The way you refuse to look at him. Owen is blind to it but i'm not. Lucas is the reason you won't set a wedding date isn't it.?" Victoria asked.
"Owen and I are busy with our jobs. Plus he doesn't care about the wedding stuff it's on me. So i will set a date when i find one that's perfect." Brooke replied.
"Have you learned nothing from my mistakes.? I allowed outside forces. Society pressure and my parents lack of approval force me into a marriage of status and power. Who i was expected to be with. Not who i wanted. Wake up Brookie. You are ruining you're life and dragging Owen down with you because you refuse to be honest with yourself."
"I don't hate Lucas. I just don't know him. He's a far better improvement then you're last husbands." Victoria proclaimed.
"Dance with me." Lucas requested. Wrapping his arms around her in a hug.
Brooke nodded her head in agreement and followed him onto the floor.
"I'm going to fight for you." Lucas stated. As the two swayed to the music together.
"Why me Lucas.? You rejected me. I let you in ways i never had with anyone. Why should i trust anything you say.?" Brooke asked.
Lucas lead her off the dance floor and into a quiet more private area.
Lucas then revealed a small box. When he opened it Brooke gasped.
"An engagement ring." Brooke said. Her eyes filling with tears.
"The ring i planned to give you. Before everything fell apart. It has you're birth stone. You're son's." Lucas explained.
