On Today's Episode: Corvus has been driven off, but now the spies have to deal with Gelee's latest invention, the "Winterizer", especially considering that it's headed for Resort Ridge where the rest of the team is. Gelee still intends to freeze the entire world over, and he wants to start with the spies. Can the team trash Gelee's masterpiece, or is this only the start of an icy end of the world?

Episode 3: Into the Deep Freeze

Meanwhile, back outside Gelee's lair, the remaining spies had just exited the lair in search of the escaped villain.

"Can you get any trace of him, Haruka?" Melissa asked.

"The signal's saying he's still somewhere in the mountains," Haruka quipped. "Maybe he doubled back to throw us off or something?"

"And what exactly is this 'Winterizer' thing Gelee was blabbing about?" Nozomi asked.

The answer to that question came in the form of a sleek and alien-like robot that crashed through the nearby mountainside, stopped mid-flight and turned to face the spies.

"Um, maybe it's that thing?!" May shouted.

"At least it's not too giant," Clover quipped.

"Behold, the instrument of this world's new ice age!" Gelee proclaimed as the Winterizer drew an ice-coated sword from behind its back. "My incredible Winterizer will spell your endothermic doom!"

"You and what army, buddy boy?!" Blaine shot back.

"Honestly, it's a pretty slick-looking robot," Haruka admitted.

"Haruka, focus!" Melissa exclaimed. "Now's not the time to admire the thing we probably need to destroy!"

"Hey, I'll give credit where credit's due," Haruka answered.

"Look at the little spies flapping their yaps," Gelee taunted.

"How about you just shut your yap so we can beat you down?!" May taunted, summoning her anchor to her hands.

"Oh, you'll have to catch me first," Gelee responded as the Winterizer began to fly down the nearby mountain path.

"This is getting really old," Clover sighed.

Haruka suddenly gasped in shock when she looked at her X-Powder to compare the signals of Gelee and the rest of their friends. "Um, you guys, I think we need to hurry, because Gelee's heading for Resort Ridge!" Haruka exclaimed.

"That little sleazeball!" Dawn shouted. "Let's chase him down, everyone!"

The seven spies quickly produced their Head For Cover Hoverboards so they could snowboard down the mountain and chase after the Winterizer, hoping to catch it before it reached Resort Ridge.

"Should one of us give a heads-up to the others?" Blaine wondered.

"It wouldn't be a bad idea," Nozomi answered.

"Hopefully they were able to get to Klee and Kana in time, too," Clover added.

"I'll find out," Haruka quipped and got out her X-Powder.

"We gotta stop them before the bad stuff happens," Melissa emphasized.

"Hey, would anybody have guessed that Mat's preferences would have been so much better than this?" Dawn wondered.

"Totally not," Clover replied in agreement.

Haruka had just gotten a hold of Sam via her X-Powder.

"Haruka? What's going on?" Sam wondered as her visage appeared.

"We just lost Gelee," Haruka started.

"And Gelee's 'Winterizer' is heading your way!" May exclaimed.

"Say WHAT?!" Alex exclaimed over Sam's shoulder.

"How's Kana?" Nozomi wondered. "Is she okay?"

"Kana's fine," Klee replied, replacing Alex's spot over Sam's shoulder. "I got to her with time to spare!"

"And we all joined in with extra time to spare," Nick quipped.

"We're coming after you!" Haruka exclaimed.

"All right, let's hit the turbo, guys!" May emphasized after Haruka shut her X-Powder.

"I swear after this, we better sneak a ride with Mat back to Hawaii," Clover told the group after they high-tailed it back to the ski resort.

"Honestly, I'm all for that," Haruka replied.

"To quote Nick, I swear we're cursed sometimes," May groaned.

"Stand still, jerk-o!" Melissa shouted, aiming her Wind Tunnel 9000 to fire a blast at the Winterizer, only for it to dodge the blast easily. "Damn it all, it's actually fast..."

The Winterizer stopped in mid-flight, then charged towards the spies.

"Stand still, you evasive little bug thing!" May exclaimed, whipping out a bottle of Stun-Tan Lotion and spraying it at the Winterizer when it got close.

Thankfully, it worked and caused the Winterizer to lock up, allowing May to briefly hop off of her hoverboard and bash the Winterizer a few times with her anchor.

"Don't think you've won yet!" Gelee shouted as the Winterizer recovered and flew off with the spies in hot pursuit.

Meanwhile...

"What's that 'Winterizer' all about?" Mat wondered.

"It's bad news for sure!" Bridget exclaimed.

"Maybe Jerry could shed some light," Britney quipped.

"Actually, I think I know what this 'Winterizer' could be," Nick replied.

"You do?" Mat asked.

The rest of the spies gathered around Nick.

"Well, bro, what's this 'Winterizer' about?" Mat wondered.

"Gelee's been blabbing a lot about his 'secret project', right?" Nick stated. "And that plan most likely involves something that could easily freeze the planet over. I remember seeing some of the schematics in Gelee's lairs while we were exploring them, and many of them resembled a very alien-looking robot quipped with freezing tech."

"I knew it," Bridget chastised.

With that, Mat and Sam turned back to Kana, knowing they had to leave her again.

"Here, take my DS," Mat offered. "I don't think he'll come back, but if Corvus does, just dial us and we'll get there as fast as we can."

"I will, dad," Kana quipped.

"We'll get back again as quick as we can, honey," Sam added to Kana. "But stay safe if Corvus happens to come back."

The seven spies met up with the other seven spies just outside Resort Ridge. All seven of them had caught up to Gelee's Winterizer.

"Wacky villain, wacky contraption," Bridget commented.

"Either way, we'll make this a win," Mat emphasized.

"Well, Nick, you were right about it being kinda like an alien," Nozomi quipped as the spies prepared for battle. "Doesn't mean it's gonna take us down, though."

"Oh, are you sure about that?!" Gelee laughed as the Winterizer fired something into the air. A few seconds later, a storm of sharp icicles began to rain down, forcing the spies to stay on the move.

"We've fought far worse than a frozen alien mech!" Bridget shouted. "Now get down here so you can take your lumps!"

"I'm afraid I can't do that, spies," Gelee cackled. "I have grand plans for this world, and you obviously can't be a part of it. Well, except for two of you..."

Gelee's ranting was cut short when Nick blasted the Winterizer in the chest with a Final Shine Attack, sending the robot reeling.

"You've got some nerve eyeballing my family again after all the beatdowns we just handed you," Nick growled. "Do you seriously want more?!"

"Every good king needs his queen, boy," Gelee responded. "I'm surprised you're still fighting it when they are destined to be at my side..."

"Okay, that avalanche you survived must have knocked some screws loose in your brain," Melissa taunted. "We'd never settle for someone like you!"

"Yeah, and if you still think that we're just gonna kowtow to your insane fantasies, then you can go and suck on some of this!" Dawn exclaimed, firing a blast from her Electromagnetic Curling Iron that knocked the Winterizer out of the sky for a brief second, allowing Klee to pelt it with a barrage of psychic bolts.

"You spies are becoming very bothersome," Gelee proclaimed. "Why not just go quietly to your frozen death?!"

The Winterizer drew its sword again and charged for the spies, swinging the blade in multiple different directions. The spies had to duck and weave rapidly to avoid getting skewered.

Nick rolled under another strike and blasted the Winterizer in the back with a Final Shine Attack, followed by Klee doing the same thing. The combined blasts were enough to force the Winterizer to land on the ground for the moment.

This gave Bridget the opportunity to transform into Sonic Mode and start striking at the Winterizer with her Metal Masher Boxing Glove multiple times. Eventually, the Winterizer pounded the ground, causing a circle of ice spikes to erupt from the ground around it, causing Bridget to dash away from it.

Clover responded by melting some of the ice spikes with a shot from her Cyclone Blast Hairdryer, allowing May to get in close and start wailing on the Winterizer with her anchor.

"Man, you're stubborn," Bridget quipped.

"Persistent is more the word I'd use," Gelee laughed.

"Come on, you, just stay down already!" May exclaimed as she dodged a swipe from the Winterizer's sword. "We'd rather enjoy what's left of our vacation!"

"Why don't you take a vacation in hell, then?!" Gelee countered as the Winterizer raised his right hand and fired off a blast...

...that completely missed the spies.

"Oh, what, is your aim slipping in your old age?" Alex taunted.

Both Nick and Klee heard a strange sound from far off and glanced towards the Winterizer and then back towards the mountains.

"...I don't think he was aiming for us," Klee stated as the realization slowly dawned on her.

And just as Klee thought, she could now see a cascade of snow sliding down the mountains towards their current location.

"...you didn't," Nick growled.

"It won't be long before that avalanche catches up and buries everything around us," Gelee cackled. "Make your decision, spies. You don't have much time left."

Suddenly, the Winterizer was pushed back when Alex flew towards it and jammed a Turbo Shovel 2.0 into its chest and spun it rapidly, drilling a hole in the Winterizer's armor.

"You seriously think we can't do both?" Alex proclaimed.

"Okay, we really do need to think of a plan here," Sam stated. "If we don't find a way to slow down or stop that avalanche, we're in deep trouble."

"Papa and I can handle that," Klee replied. "Right, papa?"

Nick nodded as he and Klee flew off towards the incoming avalanche, with Clover and Nozomi following them with gadgets of their own, while the rest of the team continued to do battle with the Winterizer.

"All right, papa, how are we gonna handle this?" Klee asked once they were close enough.

"If we want any chance of this working, we're gonna have to combine our powers together, Klee," Nick proclaimed. "Clover and Nozomi are gonna use their own gadgets to take care of any snow that gets past us."

"Right," Klee replied, taking Nick's hand so they could raise their free hands towards the avalanche. Closing their eyes in concentration, their joined hands began glowing brightly as they combined their psychic power to create a massive psychic barrier in front of them that pushed back against the avalanche.

As Nick expected, some of the snow began to fall to the sides of the gigantic barrier, but Clover was already using her Insanely Powerful Portable Vacuum to suck up the snow from her side of the barrier, while Nozomi was blasting away snow on her side of the barrier with her Sonic Disintegrator Boombox.

Even so, the snow just kept coming, forcing Nick and Klee to keep pushing back against it as hard as they could.

Meanwhile, the Winterizer continued to fight off the remaining spies as best as it could. But after a few more dodges, Melissa glanced at the hole that Alex had drilled into its armor, and she thought of a rather devious way to end this.

"Dawn, can you make an opening for me?" Melissa exclaimed.

"All over that!" Dawn responded, ducking and weaving through each of the Winterizer's blast until she got close enough to spray the machine with a bottle of Ice Queen Perfume, completely freezing it in its tracks. "All right, Melissa, it's all you!"

Melissa darted forward, jumped to the level of the Winterizer's chest area, and jammed her Helicopter Hand Fan into the hole Alex had made earlier, then activated it, the helicopter blades inside springing to life and spinning rapidly, completely eviscerating the Winterizer from the inside out.

Gelee had no choice but to eject from the Winterizer as it fell apart into a useless pile of machinery. Almost immediately, Melissa and Dawn were on him, since Nick and Klee were busy holding the avalanche back.

"Et tu, my queens?" Gelee proclaimed.

"Oh, hell no," Melissa shot back, moving to behind Gelee and hitting him with a karate chop to the neck that instantly knocked him unconscious.

Nick looked back just in time to see cracks starting to form in their barrier.

"Oh, that's not good," Nick quipped.

"I don't know how much longer we can hold the barrier, papa!" Klee exclaimed.

"Allow me to help y'all with that one," May proclaimed as she flew above the avalanche and tossed down what appeared to be two ordinary earrings.

After a few seconds, the earrings created a field of intense heat around them that quickly melted a good chunk of the snow in the avalanche before exploding violently, causing the snow to fly in many different directions and slow down enough for Nick and Klee to push what was left of the snow back before their barrier finally shattered, the avalanche stopped just in time.

Nick and Klee dropped to their knees in exhaustion while the other spies ran up to them to make sure they were okay.

"Did... did you guys take care of Gelee?" Nick asked.

"Oh, you missed something incredible, Nick!" Dawn giggled. "Alex drilled a hole in the thing with a Turbo Shovel, then Melissa destroyed it from the inside with her Helicopter Hand Fan!"

"Good to know," Klee quipped.

"You guys doing all right?" Alex asked.

"Just... need a bit to catch our breath," Nick answered. "Klee and I had to combine our powers if we wanted to make a barrier large enough to push back against that avalanche."

"And we helped!" Clover and Nozomi proclaimed at once, showing off the gadgets they'd used to assist.

"I guess we can call this one a mission complete, huh?" Blaine stated.

"Almost," Nick replied. "Just gotta do one thing first."

With that, Nick walked over to the unconscious Gelee. "I warned you, didn't I?" Nick proclaimed. "I warned you what would happen if you screwed with my family. But you didn't listen, and look where it got you. I hope you learn that lesson next time."

With that, Nick raised his hand to encase Gelee in a psychic bubble, then flicked his hand upwards to send Gelee off to containment.

"Mama! Papa! Way to go!" Kana exclaimed as she dashed over to hug Sam and Mat. She had rushed outside the second she saw Gelee get sent away by Nick.

"Let's call Jerry and RiCO, let 'em know we're all wrapped up here," Klee quipped.

"Sounds like a plan to me," Nick replied.

"By the way, bro," Mat added. "Do any of us have to help you and Klee back to the Resort?"

"Honestly, we're a little drained," Nick answered. "But we can handle it, man."

Before anyone could even think of calling Jerry and RiCO, Sam heard her X-Powder chirp, and she answered it.

"Another job well done, spies," Jerry commended as his visage appeared. "Doctor Gelee has been apprehended and back where he belongs at the W.O.O.H.P. Containment Facility!"

"Thanks, Jer," Sam replied.

"And you'll be happy to know that there's still time left to enjoy your ski vacation," Jerry added.

"...yeah, about that, Jer," Clover stated. "We kinda want to stay away from skiing or anything snow-related after that mission..."

"Oh?" Jerry wondered.

"Ah, right," RiCO stated. "You had to deal with a couple of avalanches."

"Exactly!" May emphasized.

"Not to mention that Dawn and I were frozen ice trophies for quite a while, too," Melissa added.

"So... we kinda want to check out and get back to someplace warmer," Alex replied.

"Very well then," Jerry merely replied. "In that case, look up..."

The whole spy team looked up to see the W.O.O.H.P. jet directly above them.

"Thanks, Jer!" the whole team quipped.

1:00 P.M. – Waikiki Beach

The spies were all seen relaxing on the beach and enjoying warm weather in the wintertime.

"It was super rad of Jer to let us come to Hawaii with Mat," Clover happily stated.

"Tell me about it!" Alex exclaimed, letting her hand run through the puffy yellow sand. "Mat's preference of a hotel with eighty-degree weather is totally lovely this time of the year..."

"You bet," Sam happily quipped, turning on her backside, then looking at Mat. "I thought I was going to have to wait until he returned, but not anymore..."

Alex and Clover turned to their boyfriends, and Nick and Blaine were engaged in a playful volleyball hit-around with Haruka and Klee.

"Heads up, Klee," Blaine quipped and hit the ball to Klee.

"Next is you, papa," Klee added and served the ball to Nick.

"And you, Haruka," Nick stated and hit the ball to Haruka.

In the meantime, Kana was playing in the water with Britney and Bridget.

"As much as I wanted a nice ski vacay, this is the next best thing," May quipped while she enjoyed a shaved ice.

Melissa and Dawn were with her.

"Totally!" Melissa exclaimed. "It's not snow, but warm weather in winter is something I'll take any day!"

"Same here," Dawn remarked.

"I guess all we need is May's old group and it'll be like a déjà vu of last time," Mat laughed.

"True there," Nozomi laughed.

"Funny you bring that up, Mat," May stated. "Some of the Jellyfish Pirates are eager to go back to Hawaii again like we are doing right now."

"What'd they say?" Sam wondered.

"They're planning on heading out here for Spring Break, from what Mira told me," May answered. "Sounds like they all need a break from school life, honestly."

"Oh, don't I know it."

May spun around to see that Dizzy was standing right behind her.

"Dizzy!" May exclaimed, jumping to her feet and running over to hug Dizzy. "I had no idea you were here!"

"I guess my family had the same idea sooner," Dizzy giggled. "Trust me, Tachikawa winters can get pretty brutal sometimes."

"Oh, don't I know it," May laughed.

"So, what brings all of you here?" Dizzy asked.

"Post-mission reward, basically," Mat explained. "We were planning on a nice winter vacation, only for one of our old foes to 'rise from the grave' and ruin everything."

"Ouch," Dizzy quipped.

"One good thing came out of it, though," May replied. "I learned how to ski!"

"Finally managed to show Souji up, eh?" Dizzy replied.

"About time, in my opinion," May answered. "Well, let's not keep dithering, Dizzy, join us for our beach vacation!"

Dizzy couldn't help but smile. "I think I'll do that."

Totally Spies: Stay Frosty
~The End~

Final Note from Mat49324: Well, with that, we're done with #37. We're now one step closer to the season finale, and one step closer to our second movie project. I have to admit that I got a lot of vibes from S2's Ski Trip with this project, and if you did, too, then welcome to the club. It's just that the only difference is that at the end, the spies were all in the ski lodge chalet for a soaking at the end of the day; here, we have the spies head to Hawaii for sun, sand, and surf to end it all. For now, we're ending it here, and asking you to stay tuned for our next project, Demons in the Desert, which will be authored by me. Now, here's The Blue Time Ranger if there's anything he wants to say.

Final Note from The Blue Time Ranger: And that's a wrap! What a bit of a madhouse that one was, huh? I figured that the reason Gelee never showed up in the series after "Ski Trip" was probably because everyone thought he died in that avalanche, so when I thought of the idea of a winter vacation-themed episode, who better to 'rise from the grave' and make a big return?

Anyways, next time on Totally Spies: The New Adventures, we only have two episodes left of season three, and on the docket for the next episode is a return trip to the nation of Lyrobia to protect their queen from aliens. Who could be behind this extraterrestrial scheme? Find out next time on Demons in the Desert, which will be posted by Mat. So, until next time, have a fantastic day, don't listen to the screeching morons, enjoy this preview of Demons in the Desert, and we'll see you next mission!

As Queen Tassara adjusted her crown, she looked out the window of her quarters.

It felt like a lot longer than it had been since that day when her own sister had plotted against her in a bid to rule both Lyrobia and the neighboring Kenyopia.

"I wonder how the spies are doing?" Tassara asked herself as she continued to prepare herself for her royal duties.

However, that train of thought would come to a screeching halt when one of her aides burst through the door, looking like she'd run a marathon just to get up here.

"What's the matter?" Tassara asked.

The aide simply ran over to show Tassara the pictures some of their scouts had taken the night before. Most of them appeared to show a very high-tech ship, almost alien-like in its design.

"This ship apparently passed over the palace last night," the aide explained. "What do you think we should do about it?"

Tassara thought for a few seconds before coming to a decision.

"We should probably call W.O.O.H.P.," Tassara answered. "They investigate strange occurrences all the time. Perhaps they could help us again."

The aide nodded. "This way, then, my queen."

Tassara followed her aide to the communication room, hoping that the spies could help her solve this strange problem before it became an even worse problem.

To be continued in Totally Spies: Demons in the Desert...
