Trigger warning: Rape.
Oh, little liars.
Season One; Episode Four.
Claire arrived at Spencer's house, climbing out of her car. She walked to the door and knocked, biting her lip as she wasn't sure what to expect, no when it came to the Hastings, but she knew she had to be there. After a few seconds, the door opened to reveal Ian Thomas on the other side. Claire faked a smile. "I'm here to see Spencer." She said as she crossed her arms, "She's upstairs, I hear that you are still playing for Rosewood, that's good to hear." Ian said as he opened the door wider, "Uh yeah, I plan on playing until graduation. It's nice seeing you." She said before heading upstairs to Spencer's bedroom. She didn't knock; she opened the door and walked in. She looked over to see the others, "Sorry for being late," Claire mumbled a bit and shut the door behind her, locking it.
She walked over and sat on the floor with her friends. "Spence." She said quietly and reached over, taking her hand, squeezing it. Spencer felt numb as she finally calmed down, "If I tell my parents, Melissa will kill me." She told her friends.
"Why don't you try talking to Melissa?" Aria chimed in and leaned up a bit, "I'm sure she will understand." She said as Spencer shook her head, "I doubt it, she's been obsessed with him forever now." Spencer said as she subconsciously leaned into Claire. "I don't mean to sound insensitive...but what happened with Ian?" Hanna asked as she was a little confused. "I uhh...the spring before Alison went missing, my family took a trip to Cape May with Alison's family. Ian came along with us...he flirted a lot, one night we were all hanging out and the next morning, I woke up next to him...naked...blood in my underwear.." Spencer had never told anyone but Claire until this moment. "Oh my god...did you tell anyone?" Emily asked as she was now more worried than ever. Spencer shook her head, "No. I was too scared. Alison was off with her other friends...and Jason was too high or drunk too even realize..."
Spencer gently pulled away from Claire and stood up, walking over to her bed, "My parents ended up flying out on business earlier than usual, Ian saw an opportunity and took it...I was dumb enough to fall for it." She said as she blamed herself for it. "Spencer that wasn't your fault." Claire said as she stood up, "I don't care how much you flirted or what you wore...he raped you.." She said as she struggled with this issue. Spencer had never actually heard anyone say that...Claire wasn't wrong.
"Look we know this is hard, but you have to tell someone." Aria said as she stood next to Claire, "We can help you. But he can't get away with this." She said as she crossed her arms. "He already has." Spencer said as she sat on the bed, facing them. "Nobody can know...I'm not ready to tell anyone else...please guys.." She begged them. Aria was about to say something, but Hanna covered her mouth, "We won't say anything, not until you want us too." She said as she couldn't imagine what her friend was going through.
Claire walked over and sat next to Spencer, "If he tries anything and I mean anything...I'll kill him." She said as she was not joking. Spencer let out a laugh and smiled a bit. "Thank you." She said as she felt some comfort knowing that the others knew.
"You guys should head home, it's getting late." Spencer said as she realized that she needed some time alone. "Are you sure?" Aria asked out of concern. "I am, I just...I need to collect my thoughts." She admitted to them. "If you need anything, we are a call away." Claire said as she rubbed her back before standing up.
"I'll keep that in mind." The younger Hastings sister said and smiled a bit before she hugged them all before watching them leave.
Spencer shut the door and locked it, and she did not want to risk Ian sneaking up on her. She let out a breath and climbed onto her bed; the crying had tired her out.
As she started to fall asleep, her phone buzzed, causing her to look over at it.
Ian is still as juicy as ever, right Spence? -A
Claire walked out to her car with the others, "Are we really not going to tell anyone?" Emily asked as she leaned against Claire's car, "We promised. And she'll tell when she's ready." Hanna spoke up as she crossed her arms. It was clear that this information made them all tense.
"Hanna's right, we just have to keep an eye on Spencer, and I can watch Ian. If he's going to be the new coach for field hockey, I'll have eyes on him." She told her friends. "Alright as much as I want to stay and chat, my mom is probably about to send a search party." Aria said with a sigh, causing all of them to nod. "See you at school."
They all said their goodbyes and started to head home; Claire waited until they all left before she started to pull out, before deciding to walk through the back path connecting the DiLaurentis and Hastings houses. She knew it was probably a long shot, but she still felt bad about ditching him earlier. She looked up to find Jason sitting on the back porch, "I was hoping you'd find your way over." He said as he eyed her; she smiled a bit and walked over. She sat down next to him. "It's been a long night." She admitted as she looked over at him, resting her chin on her hand. "Everything okay with the Hastings?" Jason asked a bit and raised an eyebrow.
"That's questionable." Claire admitted as she did not want to speak about it, not yet. "Anything I can do to help?" He asked as he eyed her; Claire thought about it and shook her head. "Not that I can think of."
Jason frowned a bit, he didn't like secrets, but he understood. He rarely spoke to Spencer, the most they had talked with back in Cape May. But he barely remembered that trip. "Well whatever it is, I hope you can figure it out." He said as he stood up, Claire looked up at him before also standing up.
"I...I never thanked you for driving me to the hospital that night..." Claire said, biting her lip and crossed her arms, "You don't need to...trust me. I should get inside. My mom is keen on getting everything unpacked."
Claire nodded and watched him start to head in for a moment; she bit her lip hard. "Jason." She said, causing him to turn around; she walked over to him. Her heart beating out of her chest, she leaned up on her tip-toes and kissed him as she cupped his face.
Jason was not expecting that, but he kissed back, using one hand to tilt her chin back, placing his other hand on the small of her back. He could feel the electricity pumping through his veins.
Thank you for reading this far. I know this chapter is short but I was still wanting to write. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know your thoughts so far.
