Oh, little liars.
Season One; Episode Thirteen.
Claire sat on the Hastings front porch, looking out as police now surrounded the house as Spencer's parents wasted no time taking the needed action. "Are you okay?" Aria asked in a soft voice as she sat down next to Claire, "I...I'm working on it, but no, not really." Finally, she admitted to her friend and looked over at her, "I know that it's not easy, but I'm here for you." Aria said as she opted not to tell Claire about Noel yet.
Claire smiled a bit and subconsciously leaned into her friend. "Thank you." She said before standing up. "I need a walk. All of these police cars are giving me anxiety." Claire said as she had enough of the police for one year, "Agreed, I'll walk with you." Aria said as she stood up and the two-headed off the porch.
Spencer sat inside with Hanna and Emily, watching as her parents answered the questions of the police, "This feels like a dream." Hanna admitted as she looked around the living room. "More like a nightmare." Emily said before looking over at Spencer, who was more quiet than usual.
Garrett Reynolds walked over to the three girls, sighing as he genuinely did care about them. "I hate to do this, but I need to ask you some questions." He told them and sat down across from them. "Did any of you suspect that you were being filmed?" He asked them, "No, not really...I mean...Alison thought that somebody was creeping on her, but she debunked it by saying it was some guy she was seeing back then." Hanna said as she clearly remembered that situation; that was the same night of the Jenna thing. "Did you know who she was seeing?" Garrett asked as it suddenly caught his interest a little more. "No, she never told us those details." Emily said as she sighed, "Do you think the guy is connected to the videos?" Hanna suddenly asked as she never thought of the possibility until now.
"It's not unlikely, but for now, I want to assure you that these videos will not be made public and the investigation will be done discreetly." Garrett told them as the last thing this town needed was a scandal like this.
Claire walked with Aria, taking in the cool air, "Isn't that Jason?" Aria said in shock, causing Claire's interest to spike as she looked over, a little confused before they saw Jason working on pulling out weeds. She had no time to process before she walked over to the DiLaurentis house. "You don't write, or call...you just left me hanging." She blurted out as he had hurt her.
Jason tensed up a bit, and his back was to Claire; she couldn't see his guilt or the fact that he did care about her.
Aria bit her lip as she watched this play out, "I needed to leave, it's none of your business." Jason told her coldly before turning to face her with a face of stone, "None of my business.." Claire started before she cut off, "Ms. Montgomery, Ms. Marin...I think you are needed at the Hastings house." A voice said, causing Claire to look back and see Detective Wilden. Jason narrowed his eyes at the Detective, a little confused as he had no idea what was going on. "Fine." Claire said a bit quietly and coldly before pushing past him, heading back to the Hastings, with Aria behind her.
Aria looked back at Jason before her phone went off; she pulled it out and frowned at A's text.
Wondering eyes already? Do you want to keep your little secret about Noel? Be a good little liar, and keep Jason away from Claire; otherwise, bad things will happen for the budding new couple of Rosewood. -A
Aria went pale; what was this person after?
Claire could feel the judgment from Wilden's eyes, "And you had no idea this was happening? How much did you have to drink?" Wilden asked, causing Ashley Marin to walk over, "Detective, time is up. You are not going to slut shame or victim blame my kids." She stated as Ashley was very overprotective of her children, and she would not hesitate to call somebody on their bullshit.
"I am simply asking needed to know questions." Wilden defended and crossed his arms, "I didn't drink that night, I barely remember how I ended up in that room." Claire said, standing up, with just as much sass as she could muster, mostly because she was trying not to cry.
"That's enough for one night." As he felt for the girls, the police chief told them, but this was a lot for one night, even he knew that. "Everyone is free to leave, we'll put a bolo out for Ian Thomas, meanwhile, you girls stay focused on school," He said before looking at Peter and Veronica, "Ian cannot stay here."
"Oh don't worry, he won't be." Veronica said as she would kill him with her bare hands.
Thank you for reading! I know that this one is short, but that's only because I am saving the bigger stuff for the rest of the season, as the next seventeen episodes will be more in-depth, and this chapter is more of a build-up chapter.
