FAMILY COMES FIRST
Kili P.O.V.
And the surprises keep on coming.
"I've never seen a horse like it." Fili say's shocked.
"She is of the race of Mearas. They used to be thought a myth. It is said they can understand our language. She showed herself to me when I needed help. An orc pack attacked me in the Carven woods, and she saved me." She say stroking Luna's nose.
"Well, whatever she is we need to get going. Erebor isn't going to reclaim itself." Thorin say's patting Luna's nose.
"Wouldn't that be something" I say nudging Fili as he sniggers.
"So, you're okay with her coming on the quest." Cara says with an innocent face.
"Just as long as she doesn't run off."He says pointedly.
"She won't run off. Our spirits are bound." She says seeming extremely serious.
"Oh obviously. Come on then, MOVE OUT" Thorin shouts to the company as we mount our ponies...and Anver
A few minutes into the forest.

Cara P.O.V.
As we rode along we started to hear something like a shout.
"WAIT, WAIT." Oh what now!
As I turn around I can see a small hobbit running towards us waving a piece of paper as he runs. As he gets closer I start to notice, it's not just any old hobbit...its Bilbo.
"I signed it!" he says as he hands the contract to Balin.
Balin looks at it through his magnifying glass.
"Everything seems to be in order, Welcome to the company of Thorin Oakenshield." He says folding the contract up and putting it in his bag.
"Very well get him a pony" Thorin says sounding quite grumpy. But, then again when is he not.
"Oh that won't be necessary. I've been on a lot of walking holidays...even got as far as Frogmorten once." Bilbo trails of as me and Fili sneak up behind him as we lift him on a pony.
He is very bad at riding...I need to help him. I trotted Luna over to him a put my hand on his to lower the rains.
"She needs to be able to move her head."I say smiling.
"Oh...right, thank you."
"No problem...and look...Thorin may seem a bit...strict sometimes, but, he has trust issues. Come to think of it he's always had trust issues. He'll accept you in the company in no time." I say trying to comfort him.
"I hope you're right."He says with a worried look.
"Achoo..,..Ugh...all this horse hair. Having a reaction. No wait, STOP, Stop! We have to turn around." He says looking very distressed. This is gettying quite annoying to have to stop all the time.
As I rode ahead I caught sight of Fili and Kili and decided to cut short their conversation. I'm so mean.
I cantered in-between their ponies to get their attention.
"Hello!" I said a bit too enthusiastically, but I guess I'm just a very happy person.
"Careful, you nearly knocked me off my pony." Fili said giving me a pointed look.
"And 'nearly' being the operative word." I say smiling like a Cheshire cat.
"Aye...We wouldn't want a grumpy Fili falling off his pony." Kili said laughing hysterically...along with me.
"Aww...We shouldn't mock Fili for being a plank."I say feeling a little mean.
"Why do you two always pick on me?" Fili say's with a pointed look.
"Because you're older and therefore we have a right to pick on you."
"If you don't shut up I'll pick on all three of you." Thorin shouted back to us.
We look at each other with faces that said 'Ooh he's is grumpy". (Just don't ask)
(A while later...)
I look up and see the stars glistening and twinkling on the black, blue sky.
"It's beautiful isn't." I say looking at Kili.
"Yeah...yeah it is."
"Do you think my mum's up there." I murmur with a small smile, to no one in particular.
"I'm sure of it." He says as I continue to gaze at the twinkling diamonds feeling a pair of eye locked on me.
"We'll camp here." We hear Thorin shout.
As Kili gets off his pony he walks over to me and puts a hand up to me.
"After you my Lady."He says in a posh accent helping me down off Luna.
"Who are you and what have you done with Kili Durin" I say giving him a strange look. He just chuckled and ruffled my hair. I hate it when people do that.
"Hey..."I say laughing as I tied up Luna next to Myrtle. As I walked over to the fire Bomber was making dinner. The smell of herbs filled my nose. Rosemary, thyme and sage. It reminded me of back home, watching my sister making medicine for the elders. I miss my sister. Just as I'm about to sit down (literally squating above a log. Not very lady like) I hear a rustle in a nearby tree.
"What was that?"Balin asks look past the tree. But I know the smell all too well.
I walk out so I'm right under the tree, but I pretend I don't know the person is there. Fili walks up close behind me with his sword in hand.
"You won't need that."I whisper to him so the person doesn't hear.
"You know what it is." He said sheathing his sword.
"Oh yeah. Get ready to catch." I said getting my foot ready to kick the tree.
I spin round giving the tree a good round house kick. My best move if I do say so myself.
As I kicked the tree I looked up to see a body dressed in brown fall of a spindly branch screaming all the way down.
"Ugh...thanks Cara. When I woke up this morning I thought to myself 'I really want to catch people falling out of trees today.' No offence, you're very light." Fili said to the person, who was now blushing violently.
"Rose you have got some explaining to do."I say with my eyes turning yellow with anger...literally. When Fili put her down she made a dash for freedom towards the ponies but I quickly leaped into action as I jump on her pinning her down on the floor. I then got up and brought her with me to pin her against a tree.
"What are you doing here." I growl looking her straight in the eye.
"Who is she?" Fili said sounding a little too interested for my liking.
"My sister." I say letting her go feeling a little disappointed. I put my hand on her shoulder and walk her over to the fire and push her to sit down.
"Does Father know you're here?" I ask trying to calm myself down.
"No." She says quietly covering her face with her hair so she didn't have to look at me.
"I've a good mind to send you back to the pack." I say angrily.
"You can't send me back to the pack." She said finally looking into my eyes.
"Oh? And why is that."I could feel my anger rising very quickly.
"Well do you really think father would allow you back if you make me go home alone?" She says getting more and more confident. I sigh and look at Thorin for help but he just gives me the 'give her a chance and support her' look. I'm having not of it.
"You can stay on one condition. If you left the pack on your own, you can look after yourself. Don't come crying to me if you get hurt." I say with venom and storm off regretting every word.
As I walk over to Luna I here footstep following me. I bet it's Thorin coming to tell me off.
"Look I really don't need this now." I say turning around to face...Kili?
"Wasn't that a bit harsh."Kili says sitting down.
"Yeah...and I regret every word. All I've ever wanted to do was look after her and keep her safe and she goes and pulls a stunt like this. After everything that's happened!" I say sitting beside him.
"Well, go and talk to her. She'll understand you're just worried about her." He says putting an arm around my shoulder
"No. She won't talk to me after that."
