Rocky's POV
The room was silent, everyone's mouth was hanging from shock and Skye was on the brink of having a breakdown,
"What do you mean amnesia!?" Skye shouted, the nurse stepped back while the Cockapoo inched closer, I reacted quickly and stepped in front of her,
"Skye calm down, let's not do anything that we're gonna regret." The Cockapoo gazed at me with tearful eyes and broke down in front of my crying, I embraced Skye trying to calm her down while motioning at the nurse to leave,
"Sh sh it's all right Skye just let it all out, hey Zuma go check on Ryder." Zuma nodded before sprinting after Ryder, my attention returned to the Cockapoo who was staining my fur with her tears,
"Hey Skye its gonna be ok, Chase is tough he'll pull through." I gently patted her head trying to ease her,
"He's gone..." Skye whispered,
"No Skye, he'll still be the leader we all know and love."
"He's not going to be the same."
"Yes he will Skye."
"What would you do if it was Zuma, how would you cope with it?" That question surprised me, 'Why would she ask me that, does she know?'
"I-I don't know Skye, I don't know."
Zuma's POV
Dashing past doctors and nurses in search of Ryder, bursting through doors and searching every possible room I had no luck, then I had an idea,
"Excuse me nuwse, did you see a boy with faiw skin, spiky haiw and a wed and white vest around hewe?"
"Oh yeah he just saw him leaving the building, are you his pu-"
"Thanks!" I rushed away from the nurse and headed towards the exit, I kept on running until I finally saw the door with the bright red 'EXIT' sign showing, I slowly opened the door only to see Ryder pacing back and forth, he looked so sad and I could tell he was crying,
"Wydew please come inside, evewyone is scawed and Skye's having a breakdown, please we need you." Ryder didn't notice me calling him, he seemed to be lost in a thought,
"Wydew? HEY WYDEW!" He jolted from the loud sound of my voice,
"Zuma go back inside, I need a minute to think." His voice was soft and raspy and he barely made eye contact with me, it broke my heart seeing my owner like this, I walked up to him and tugged on his leg,
"Ryder you need some sleep, let's go home." Ryder flashed a soft smile before we both entered the hospital and made our way back to the pups, when we entered the room, Skye was on the chair curled up in a ball while Rocky was patting her, Siren was seen trying to calm Rubble who was crying in a corner, everyone turned their attention to Ryder when he arrived,
"Pups let's go home." Everyone was shocked by Ryder's request,
"But what about Chase?" Rubble questioned,
"You can visit *sniff* Chase whenever you like, but right now we need to go home, there's nothing we can do for him, it's up to Marshall and the doctors." We didn't want to leave our leader but we knew Ryder was right, there's nothing we can do for him. Everyone got in their vehicle and one by one we left, the ride was silent, only the sounds of our vehicles as we made our way back to the lookout. Everyone parked their vehicle in their original spots and transformed them into their pup houses, as I was about to enter my pup house I felt a paw tug at my shoulders, I spun around and it was Rocky,
"How are you holding up Zuma?" His innocent voice was all it took to put a smile on my face, but it quickly faded,
"I don't know..." Rocky pulled me into an embrace while my tears soak his fur,
"Come on Zuma, you need some sleep." Rocky held my paw leading me into my pup house while I wiped the tears from my face, we stepped inside and I immediately faceplanted into my bed, Rocky sighed before closing the door and laying beside me, I was more upset about Chase being in the hospital than Rocky, Chase was my rival after all, we always thrived off of competitions against each other and he was my playmate since Rocky was always so busy recycling or whatever
"He'll recover, it's Chase we're talking about here." Rocky said while he stroked my fur, I pulled him closer and buried my face into his chest,
"What's going to happen now?" I raised my head glaring at him with pleading eyes,
"I don't know... things are going to be different around here." Rocky's ears fell back and I felt my heart sting seeing him so sad. I don't know how we'll operate on missions or work as a team without Chase, he was our leader after all... what would be life without Chase?
"Why don't we get some sleep?" Rocky suggested with a soft smile, without looking at him I slowly nodded and we both walked to my pup house, I opened the door and immediately face planted on my bed burying my face in the soft sheets, I could hear Rocky's footsteps near closer me so I turned around to face him, His ears fell behind his head and it looked like he was about to cry,
"Come here Wocky" I softly said while holding out my paws, Rocky immediately leapt into my arms accepting my embrace while his tears flow down my shoulders... soaking my fur, I patted his back trying to comfort him the best I could and after a while of silent sobbing and tears... he finally calmed down,
"I-I'm sorry... I usually don't cry in front of people." He chuckled sadly while wiping away a tear,
"You can cwy in in fwont of me, you don't have to hide with me." I caressed his fur while showing a soft smile, Rocky turned his face trying to hide his blush,
"Yeah yeah whatever." Rocky playfully shoved away my paw making me giggle, Rocky couldn't help but smile and joined me as we both laughed with each other, soon the laughter died down and the sad atmosphere came flowing back, after a brief moment of silence Rocky stood up and got off the bed,
"Well uhh... i'm going to bed now, goodnight Zuma" Rocky made his way to the front door but I didn't want him to leave, I felt lonely watching him leave. He was nearing the door but I was panicking and my heart was racing, I had to act quick
"WOCKY!" I shouted which immediately caught his attention,
"Yes Zuma?" Rocky asked while tilting his head,
"Can you like... uhm.. stay the night?" I asked while turning away trying to hide my blush, I turned back to face Rocky and his eyes were widened and he had a shocked expression. I felt like I shouldn't have asked that and immediately regretted my decision,
"I-I'm Sowwy I shouldn't have asked that." My ears fell behind my head and I buried my face in my paws, I felt embarrassed asking that question,
"No Zuma- It's alright, I'll spend the night with you." Rocky said with a wagging tail and a smile on his face, a huge grin instantly plastered across my face as I felt my heart beat faster with excitement, I scooted over and patted next to me signaling for him to join, he gladly accepted my offer and hopped onto my bed snuggling next to me,
"Everything's gonna be alright ok Zuma?" Rocky flashed a soft smile,
"Yeah... I hope so." I sadly replied, Rocky nuzzled me making me blush instantly,
"Goodnight Zuma." Rocky said before closing his eyes,
"Goodnight Wocky." I smiled at him before closing my eyes, I felt happy sleeping next to Rocky, I think I might be crushing on him... but I don't know if he likes me back. He's always affectionate towards me and he spends his time with the most than all the pups, I don't know if he just enjoys my company or he likes me back but I decided to put my thoughts aside and get some sleep. I turned my back to Rocky and was about to sleep until I heard the faint whines and whimpers from him, was he having a nightmare or was it something else...? I turned back around to face Rocky and I noticed that he had a small smile on his face, gosh he's so cute when he's sleeping, I inched closer to Rocky and nuzzled into his fur putting my snout to touch his, my heart was racing as I felt tingling feelings throughout my whole body. I wrapped my paws around his body and pulled him closer feeling his fur against mine, I melted into this moment feeling the touch of my crush's fur rubbing against me, my body was at ease as I felt extremely comfortable and safe next to Rocky. I slowly drifted off to sleep looking into Rocky's eyes with a thought that was bugging my mind...
"Does Rocky like me?"

I just kind of forgot about this whole website and stumbled onto it one day
