Note: Before we move on, I'm going to say something to a reviewer.

Ron: Well, I guess that the character from Transformers, Prowl, gave me the idea to name one of my characters that. However, Prowl's real name is actually Percy Roland Granger. Thanks for noticing, though. I hope that you enjoy the rest of this story.

Alrighty, seeing as I have nothing to say, it's time for chapter nine. Enjoy!

Chapter 9: Saved

At the docks, Falco, Slippy, Fay and Miyu were locked in the lighthouse, waiting for their captors to take them to where they would be executed. However, someone stepped into the lighthouse and came near them. Turning their eyes to the unknown person, the four Star Fox members saw that it was Margaret.

"What are you doing here?" Falco asked.

"Shouldn't you be with the rest of your criminal allies?" Miyu asked.

"Haven't we been tormented by the Mauricio Family enough?" Slippy asked.

"Relax," Margaret spoke, "I'm actually here to help you guys. As I said before, I'm not on board with the execution methods that those criminal scum use."

"You're helping us?" Fay asked. "Why?"

"Give us the real reason," Falco said, "and not just that you hate how the others execute people."

"I was going to say this later, but I'm actually working with the Cornerian Army." Margaret stated.

"You are?" Slippy asked.

"Yeah, but I'll let the Mauricios execute you if you tell them that. Also, your friends are on their way here." The lupine said prior to walking out of the lighthouse.

Now that they were alone again, Falco, Slippy, Fay and Miyu felt a glimmer of hope. None of them expected one of their kidnappers to actually be working with the Army, so they were somewhat happy. Despite that, they had to remain quiet about it. In addition, all four of them knew that the others were coming for them. Their luck was turning.

Meanwhile, Fox and Bill were taking paintbrushes and covering Krystal and Fara with liquid latex. While doing so, they looked around for anyone suspicious.

"Do you think our new ally is coming?" Bill asked.

"Yes," Krystal said, "I can sense her coming near."

Margaret then entered the area, coming near the four.

"So, she's our ally?" Fara asked.

"Well, she doesn't like the execution methods Giorno Mauricio and his men use." Fox stated.

"And she's been contacting us when she's out of their sight." Krystal stated.

"Yeah," Margaret said to Fox and Bill, "and you need to finish covering them."

"Right." Bill said as he continued painting Fara with the latex.

Fox, Bill and Margaret finished painting Krystal and Fara with the liquid latex, leaving their noses uncovered. Before they had their faces covered, Krystal and Fara held their breath, their cheeks getting puffed up.

"Why are they holding their breath?" Margaret asked. "Their noses are uncovered, aren't they?"

"Krystal can hold her breath for three hours." Fox stated.

"But Fara can only hold her breath for half-an-hour." Bill added. "As for their noses being uncovered, it's because it's rather hard to hold your breath when your nose is covered."

"Thanks for the explanation." Margaret said as she helped them move the covered Fara and Krystal. The latex would dry at any minute, so the fennec and the cobalt vixen couldn't move. However, they could still breathe out of their noses. After all, it was part of the plan General Pepper had. It would only be a few minutes until the Cornerian Knights arrived, then their allies would be saved.

Giorno, Antonio, Louis and Daniel were waiting by the sea, having brought Falco, Slippy, Fay and Miyu out to the docks. Falco and Slippy had their feet in wet cement while Fay and Miyu were tied to poles. The four Star Fox members tried to look miserable, in spite of what Margaret told them earlier.

"Now, where the hell is Margaret?" Giorno asked.

"She said that she had to take care of something." Louis answered.

"That wolf better get her ass down here," Antonio said, "I'm sick of waiting!"

"Then why don't you just get it over with?" Falco asked.

"It's just better when the gang is together." Daniel stated.

"You could have easily been a member of the Family, Lombardi." Giorno said.

"I've gotten into trouble before," Falco said, "but that doesn't mean that I'd join a criminal organization."

Margaret came near the group, bringing the latex-covered Fara and Krystal with her. Behind her were Fox and Bill, who were acting like they were handcuffed.

"Well, she's caught us!" Fox said.

"And she's covered Fara and Krystal in latex!" Bill added.

"You monster!" Slippy cried.

Giorno walked near Margaret, looking at the covered Fara and Krystal.

"Looks like you're getting a higher position in the Family for this." He said.

"Really?" Margaret asked.

"Yeah," Giorno said, "and we're going to give McCloud and Grey the honor of watching us execute their teammates."

"You bastards!" Falco shouted.

"You won't get away with this, Mauricio!" Miyu growled.

"Sadly, we've got enough contacts to eliminate anyone who stands in our way." Daniel said.

"So it looks like we are getting away with it." Giorno said, smiling.

"That's where you're wrong!" Fox said.

Without warning, Giorno was knocked down by a kick. That kick came from Flora, who was followed by Collin, Jethro, Pierre and Shelly.

"It's those kids!" Antonio said.

"Let's get them!" Daniel said as he cracked his knuckles.

"Prowl, that's your cue!" Collin shouted.

Prowl then went over to untie Fay and Miyu, cutting the ropes off of them.

"Thanks." Fay said.

"Don't mention it!" Prowl said as he went over to free Falco and Slippy.

"Miriam, it'z your turn!" Pierre called out.

Running towards Krystal and Fara, Miriam used the device that the Army had been working on to free them.

"Are you two alright?" She asked.

"Yes," Krystal said, "just go help Prowl free Falco and Slippy."

"Right." Miriam said before going over to Falco and Slippy. As she did so, Prowl had already untied them. The panther then used the device on the cement, turning it into water.

"Never thought that we would be saved by some kids." Falco said.

"We can still push you into the water." Prowl stated.

"We'd prefer that you didn't." The pheasant said.

"C'mon, let's go help the others!" Miriam said as she rushed towards the Mauricio Family.

Falco and Slippy saw the Cornerian Knights fighting the Mauricio Family, with help from Fox, Fara, Fay, Miyu and Krystal. They were doing well, considering how they were up against gangsters.

"Let's join them, Falco!" Slippy said as he rushed into battle.

"Where the hell is Peppy at?" Falco asked himself as he followed Slippy.

Falco flew at Daniel, punching him in the face a few times. However, Giorno was behind him with a pistol. Before the gorilla could shoot the pheasant, he was brought down by a kick to the head. Looking up, Falco saw that Katt was the one who prevented him from being shot in the head.

"I guess I got lucky." Falco said.

"I just wanted to save my pretty birdie." Katt stated.

"Good to see you too, Katt." The pheasant said.

All of a sudden, a ship landed near the docks. The back door opened up, revealing Peppy and Lucy standing near the entrance.

"C'mon, guys!" Lucy called.

"Let's get y'all to the hospital!" Peppy shouted.

"What about the Mauricio Family?!" Slippy called to them.

"Officer Black will deal with them!" Bill said. "He told us he would!"

"Wait, Crimson Unit #21 is near us!" Krystal said. "We can't all leave until he's gone!"

"Where's he at?" Fox asked.

"He's near the docks, I can sense him!" The cobalt vixen said. "We need to fight him as a team!"

"Agreed!" Fara said.

"Well guys, I do believe that we should listen to those two in this situation." Falco said, unaware that Fara and Krystal were vomiting in the sea.

"Are you okay?" Flora asked.

"The smell of the latex made us nauseous!" Fara stated, wiping her mouth.

"And holding my breath can upset my stomach!" Krystal said.

"Alright, guys, let's get our injured allies to the ship!" Shelly said.

"Wait, one of us has to stay alert for this Crimson Unit guy!" Slippy said.

"I'll do it," Krystal said to the toad, "just get you, Falco, Fay and Miyu to the ship!"

"On it!" The smaller male said as he began to take Falco, Fay and Miyu to the ship.

"I'll call Officer Black!" Fox said as he got out his communicator.

"Fox, be careful, Crimson Unit #21 is near!" Krystal warned.

"Near?" A familiar voice greeted them.

(Cue 21st Century Schizoid Man)

Everyone (except Giorno, Antonio, Louis and Daniel) turned around and saw Crimson Unit #21 walking towards them. The mysterious being was still covered in the shadowy clothing that kept his identity secret, not letting it slip as he made his way towards the group. The Cornerian Knights, Fox and Bill fired at him, but it had no effect.

"He has a force field on!" Fara cried.

"Yes," Krystal said, "I was about to warn all of you about that!"

"My technology isn't telepathy proof, unfortunately." Crimson Unit #21 said.

Back at the ship, Peppy was wide-eyed. He had heard this voice before. As such, memories became flooding back to the hare. He could remember a snow leopard who had joined the Cornerian Army. That voice, no doubt, belonged to that same feline. Because of that, he felt the urge to interrupt Krystal's fight with Crimson Unit #21.

"I know who you are!" Peppy cried, pointing to Crimson Unit #21.

"Oh, do you?" The mysterious being spoke. "Very well then, I might as well reveal myself.

Crimson Unit #21 began to remove his clothes, beginning with hat before moving on to the rest. Upon taking off the clothing that concealed him, the mysterious man was revealed to be a snow leopard like Prowl. However, he was shirtless, seeing as no shirt could contain the cord that went from his lower back to his head, connecting to a device on his forehead. The device in question had a GPU on it, the green light repeatedly flashing. In addition to that, the feline had arm-mounted blasters, holsters that contained cybernetic daggers and a metallic device that replaced his right shoulder.

"You're Tobias Granger!" Peppy cried.

"Ah," Tobias, the feline now known as Crimson Unit #21, spoke, "Peppy Hare. It's good to see you again. Your team amazes me, I never expected Princess Krystal Bodimead of Cerinia to join Star Fox. Nor did I expect her to lead a mission to save you and your comrades."

"How'd you make your way back to Corneria, Granger?!" Fox growled.

"Let me just say one thing: I couldn't care less about how all of you managed to defeat my henchmen, foil our plans and cause me to reveal who I am." The cyborg snow leopard stated. "What interests me is the fact that my son has been working with your comrades and has been bringing us down one-by-one!"

"That's right!" Prowl said as he got out his blaster. "And I'm going to be the one who puts an end to you, father!"

"Prowl, wait, let us fight with you!" Krystal protested.

"This is between me and him!" The man formerly known as Tobias Granger shouted as he stabbed the deck with one of his daggers.

"Run!" The cobalt vixen shouted as she led Fox, Fara, Katt, Bill, Flora, Collin, Jethro, Miriam, Pierre, Shelly and Margaret away. Prowl stood his ground, jumping out of the way of the ensuing explosion.

"That cyber-leopard's daggers explode?!" Bill cried.

"That must be another one of his inventions!" Katt cried.

"Yes, it's called Starless!" Krystal said, turning her head to Fox. "Did you call Officer Black?"

"Now I am!" Fox said as he got out his communicator, getting into contact with Officer Black.

"What about Prowl?!" Miriam asked.

"Prowl, are you coming?!" Fara shouted down to the young man.

"No, I'm not!" Prowl said.

"What are you talking about?!" Jethro cried.

"I'm staying here and fighting him!" The snow leopard told everyone. "Go ahead and take the others to the hospital, I'm ending it here! I'm also letting the Mauricio Family live so that Officer Black can take them to jail! If any of you want to join me in the battle, you can!"

"You idiot, you'll get yourself killed!" Collin screamed down to him.

"Sacrebleu, Prowl, juzt come with uz!" Pierre yelled.

"The boy's made his decision, so get lost!" Tobias/Crimson Unit #21 shouted.

Giorno, Antonio, Louis and Daniel got up.

"Boys," Giorno said, "let's watch this from the lifeguard's cabin."

Back to the remaining Cornerian Knights and their allies, Krystal nudged Fox's shoulder.

"Fox," she said, "we shouldn't leave! The whole point of the mission was to capture the Mauricio Family and save the others! Please, we've got to help Prowl!"

For a brief moment, Fox was silent. Then, he looked at Krystal with determination in his eyes.

"He needs this, Krystal." The orange tod said. "Now, let's get our injured friends to the hospital. Don't worry, I've told Black everything he needs to know."

Krystal could only look out of the ship, her eyes facing the docks.

Please, she transmitted a telepathic message to Prowl, be careful down there.

Down at the docks, Prowl had heard Krystal's telepathic message. This filled him with a desire to come out of the battle alive as he cracked his knuckles and faced Tobias: the former soldier of the Cornerian Army who became a cyborg. To the young man, he was no longer his father, but rather a monster.

"So," Tobias spoke, "are you ready to face me, boy? Your father? The infamous Crimson Unit #21?"

"Yes, I am." Prowl said. "If it's to take down the Mauricio Family for good and finally rid the Lylat System of you, then I'm ready!"

The wrecked Epitaph flew down to the docks. Despite the damage it sustained, it was still fully functional. In response, Prowl went to his Zipper and climbed in. Turning on his thrusters, the snow leopard got ready for battle.

"Here we go!" He said to himself.

Note: Welp, Prowl's going to face his father. Who will win? Will it be Prowl, or will it be Tobias (Crimson Unit #21)? Needless to say, the bad boy of the Cornerian Knights is going to need a LOT of luck, provided that he does this on his own. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
