Chapter Six
Eric and Donna are in her bedroom, which looks eerily similar to her room back in point place, except the bedroom door is on the opposite side of the room he is sitting on the bed, she is pacing back and forth.
Eric - I can't believe this.
Donna - I know, who just gets reacquainted, and immediately decides to have sex right away?
Eric - Your parents?
Donna - You know what, I'm not gonna stand for this.
Eric - What do you mean?
She runs out of the room.
Eric - Donna, wait up.
He runs after her.
Both of them are walking down the hall.
Donna - I'm gonna go in there, and speak my mind, are you with me?
Eric - Do I have a choice?
They reach the bedroom door.
Eric - Shouldn't we knock first?
Donna - There's no music playing, they must be asleep.
They go inside the bedroom, it's dark in there.
Donna (off screen) - Listen here you..!
The lights come on.
Donna (off screen) - Oh my god!
Bob (off screen) - Donna!?
Donna (off screen) - Eww!
She runs out of the room.
Donna - You guys are weird!
Eric (off screen) - Sooo, nice robe, Midge.
Midge (off screen) - Thank you, Eric, can you bring it over to me?
Bob (off screen) - And mine too.
Circle P.O.V.
In the motel room, Hyde, Fez, and Annette are in the circle.
Hyde - And I'm telling you, it runs on water, man.
Cut to Annette.
Annette - Wow, cars are fun, especially in the backseat.
Cut to Fez.
Fez - Yes, they are, in my country, we invented cars.
Cut to Hyde.
Hyde - Yup, this was a good idea coming on this trip, everything about this place is fun, I'm so coming back next summer.
Cut to Annette.
Annette - I think blondes are fun to be around.
Cut to Fez.
Fez - I know they are, I'm looking at one right now. And she's beautiful as she can be.
Cuts back to Annette.
Annette - You're cute, Fez.
Cuts back to Fez.
Fez - I can be cuter.
He gets up and goes to her, then it cuts back to Hyde.
Hyde - Hey!...Hey! You can't do that in the circle...Fez, we talked about this!
A slew of clothes, mostly the ones Fez was wearing, are thrown at Hyde. He doesn't like it one bit.
Hyde - That's it! I'm sleeping in the van!
Disgusted, Hyde gets up and leaves the circle.
Back in Donna's Bedroom, Eric, Donna, Bob, and Midge are in there, Bob and Midge are wearing robes.
Bob - You couldn't knock first?
Eric - I had suggested that, but I was overruled.
Donna - You guys, this is not normal, you two are not together.
Midge - We are tonight.
Eric - This is weird.
Bob - Y'all two might be roommates, but we're still your parents.
Midge - And you're staying home Friday night.
Donna - What about you?
Midge - I have dinner and a movie with Randy.
Donna - What?
Midge - Just because you're grounded, doesn't mean I should stay home with you.
Bob - You're still going on the date?
Midge - Shut up, Bob. I'll be waiting in the bedroom.
She leaves the room.
Bob - Don't tell Red about this.
Eric - You and Midge doing it? Or us walking in on both of you?
Bob looks at him.
Eric - You're absolutely right.
Bob - You best get back to the hotel, and check on the others.
Eric - Got it.
Midge (off screen) - Bob, I'm waiting.
Bob - Coming.
He quickly leaves the room.
Eric - Man, that was so awkward.
Donna - No kidding.
Eric - I mean, walking in on my parents, that was traumatizing. But with your parents, it's like those films they show at that run down theater back home.
Donna - Let's change the subject.
Eric - So, are you gonna come back to Point Place?
She looks at him.
Donna - No.
Eric - No? Why?
Donna - I'm not going back, I'm gonna stay out here with my mom.
Eric - Permanently?
Donna - I don't know.
Eric - Donna, look I...
Donna - Don't say anything. You were right.
Eric - I was?. I mean, damn right, I was!
She's amused by his attempt at being tough.
Eric - Are you sure?
Donna - Yeah. We both need this.
Eric - Ok.
Donna - Just promise me something.
Eric - Sure. What is it?
Donna - Don't forget about me.
Eric - How can I? We already slept together.
They have a laugh, she hugs him, they break apart, she has tears in her eyes, she wipes them away.
Donna - So..
Eric - Yeah, I should get back to the hotel.
Donna - Yeah.
He gets up and leaves, Donna turns back around.
Donna - Eric, wait...
The door closes. He's gone.
Donna - Don't go...
She sits back on her bed, looking sad.
In the parking lot of the motel, Eric and Hyde are on top of the van, talking.
Eric - You know, coming out here, I thought I was gonna do the right thing, and convince Donna to come back, but I realized something, I can't be with the same person, nor can I wait for her to come around, I have to explore my options, after all there's more fish in the sea.
Hyde - No worries Forman, in time things will work out for the best.
Eric - Fez and that girl in the motel room?
Hyde - Yup.
Eric - We're sleeping out here, aren't we?
Hyde - Oh, yeah.
Someone is heard walking up to them, it's Leo, he joins them on the roof of the van.
Leo - Sup, dudes.
Eric - Hey, Leo.
Leo - Did you ever find what you were looking for?
Eric - Nah, I found that I have to do other things, and can't wait forever.
Leo - That's some heavy stuff, man.
Eric - It is.
Leo pulls out a piece of paper.
Leo - Hey look, I got Farrah Faucett's autograph, pretty cool, right, man?
He shows Eric and Hyde the piece of paper.
We look at the map yet again, the van drives back from California, but begins to make a few wrong turns.
Eric - Fez, are you reading the map upside down again?!
Fez - I'm sorry, it's hard to read this thing!
The van then gets on the right track, en route back to Wisconsin.
The guys are in the driveway with Leo, Bob is talking to the Formans.
Leo - Thanks for the ride, man.
Hyde - Anytime.
Leo - Don't worry, kid, you'll be okay.
Eric - You think so?
Leo - Think what, man.
The guys look at him confusingly
Leo - See ya.
Leo walks away.
Eric - That man is idiotic, yet wise at the same time.
Hyde - Yup.
Bob - She's gonna spend some time with Midge.
Red - So you went there for nothing?
He nods.
Kitty - I'm sorry the trip was a waste.
Bob - Not necessary, I got a few phone numbers and addresses.
Red - What?
Bob - Pen pals I met on the road back, one of them said she'd come visit me here for a few days.
They look at him.
Bob - I think I'll make this a summer thing.
Bob walks back to his house. Kitty looks at Red.
Kitty - Red.
Red - If we're lucky, he'll move there.
The Formans go back inside, Eric, Hyde, and Fez are in the driveway.
Fez - I had fun out there in California.
Hyde - Yes, you sure did.
Fez - Oh, I got Annette's phone number and address, she said she might come visit me when she can.
Eric - Good to know, Fez.
Hyde - You alright, Forman?
Eric - I still can't believe it, she didn't come back.
Hyde - Don't worry, man, she'll be back.
Eric - You think so?
Hyde - Yeah, Man. Everyone always comes back to point place.
Fez - Your parents didn't.
Fez grins, Hyde punches Fez in the arm.
Fez - Ow.
Eric - Speaking of Ow. Has anyone seen or heard from Kelso and Jackie?
Fez - No.
Hyde - No, man.
They head to the basement.
Eric - You noticed they didn't even show up here or there.
Hyde - Maybe they eloped.
Eric - Heh, Good one.
The three of them are shooting hoops in the driveway, Fez is in the middle
Eric - Forman shoots.
Eric throws the ball, it makes it in the hoop.
Eric - He scores.
Hyde - Nice shot, Forman.
Eric - Thanks.
Fez - Can I shoot next?
Eric - Sure thing.
A car is heard driving up, the guys look on.
Eric - Hey look, a taxi cab.
Hyde - It's Kelso and Jackie.
They approach the trio, Kelso is in a suit and he's wearing a top hat, Jackie is wearing a wedding dress.
Eric - Y'all guys playing dress up at the mall again?
They are giggling.
Hyde - Where have you guys been?
Fez - Y'all missed out on a lot.
Kelso and Jackie continue giggling. The Formans come out.
Kitty - Oh, look, Red, they're wearing wedding clothes again.
Red - Y'all gotta stop doing that, this isn't funny anymore.
The giggling continues.
Eric - Ok, What is going on?
Kelso and Jackie - We got married in Vegas!
Everyone is caught off guard, except Red, who is not really surprised.
Red - Kelso, You dumbass.
The End.
