I closed my door and sighed; it was my first day of high school, "hold up a second Raon!!" my Mom opened the door, "you forgot your lunch!" I smiled, "thanks Mom, "don't sweat it dear. Just have a good day at school, okay?" I nodded before she closed the door. I closed the gate to my front yard, then started walking down the street. I kept my pace rather slow, high school was a thing I never looked forward to. Adulthood was right around the corner, and it looked quite scary. At least until that day, I should focus on getting through today first.

I stopped at a crosswalk, a school stopped at the red light. There were kids talking to friends they probably haven't seen all summer. I paid them little attention, there was nobody on the bus I recognized. I noticed that it was safe to cross, so I went on my way.

After taking the first steps inside the highschool, I couldn't help but notice how huge it was. It wasn't the size of a stadium, but it was magnitudes larger than my middle school. I took out a folded up schedule, and began to try and work out where my first class was… this was going to take awhile.

Luckily the first day of school was mostly just meeting my classmates, being told the rooms of each class, and learning where everything was. It was fairly uninteresting, just the typical first day of school lectures and prep rallies. After everyone was let out of the auditorium, I was the first one out of the doors. I knew none of my old friends attended my high school, so I had no reason to stick around. My grip tightened on my bag's straps, then I started off on my way.

I was back at the same crosswalk from earlier, there were no cars coming from anywhere. Without thought I crossed, "hey Raon," I turned to see one of my old middle school friends, "oh, hey Gus. How was school?" he grinned, "it's been good so far, it's a shame we aren't going to the same school this year, huh?" I couldn't agree more, "mind if I walk with you? My home is on the way to yours anyway," I nodded, "that'd be nice."

"So have you heard about the new games coming out this year?" I nodded, "yup, I've been saving up money for the new Pokemon games this year, they look awesome!" Gus grinned, "so I assume you and I are gonna be visiting each other a lot while playing them as always?" I couldn't help but smile, "hell yeah dude! That sounds awesome!!" it wasn't too long until we were standing outside of my home's gates, "so, wanna meet up tomorrow after school?" I asked.

Gus put his hands on his hips, "yup! I'll see you tomorrow, right here!" I flashed a thumbs up, "well, see ya then!" I waved my hands as he continued on his way.

I entered the house and was immediately pounced on by an unseen force, "hey Silvie!" I was immediately showered in kisses. After several minutes of sitting in front of the door with my dog in my lap, she finally let me up. I looked down at the Husky, "I assume you want to go on a walk, huh girl?" she barked. I shook my head, "let me get changed first," I said after that, Silvie sat by the door, awaiting for me to get ready.

After I settled my back on my bed and got out of my school clothes, I grabbed Silvie's leash, then headed down stairs. The husky sat patiently and awaited me to put on her collar. We never really had her wear it unless we were going somewhere, or had to walk her. After I heard the click of the collar's buckle, I opened the door, "c'mon girl."

I had prepared dinner for both me, my dog, and Mom. while Mom was the one who usually cooked, she was still at work. So I made her a bowl of instant noodles, it wasn't much, but I couldn't cook to save my life, so that was the extent of what I could do. The door opened just as I sat down at the dinner table, "hey Mom!" she looked tired out of her mind, "hey dear," Mom's face lit up when she saw the bowl of instant noodles, "thank you dear," she planted a kiss on my forehead, before sitting down and eating.

After I was done brushing my teeth, I sat down on my bed. Mom opened the door to my room, "how was school, Raon?" i shrugged, "it went pretty good," she nodded, "well, have a good night dear," and just like that she was gone. I flicked off the lights, Silvie was quick to jump on my bed and cuddle up into my side. My grin couldn't be bigger, she did this ever since she was a puppy, and it still never failed to make me smile. I closed my eyes, and drifted off to sleep.

I groaned when my alarm started going off, the constant "BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" made my tired ears ring. I just wanted to sleep in, but I remembered that it was only Friday. That at least was a good thing, I could sleep in all I want tomorrow.

I stopped at the crosswalk again and began to wait again. At the end of the day I'd get to hang out with Gus again, which I was looking forward to. The signal flashed, it was safe to walk.

As soon as I was halfway to the other side of the street, I felt something hit me hard, and everything went black...

My eyes shuttered by the light, I wasn't dead? I didn't even feel like I was hurt. I wasn't on the street like I expected. I was in the middle of a forest… that was weird. I didn't see any forest close to where I was walking earlier, just houses. I stretched then saw something that caught me off guard. Instead of a hand, or even an arm, I had a black leg, with what looked like a brace at the ankle, and where my hand should've been was a paw. I had to be seeing things, perhaps whatever hit me made me hallucinate.

I got up to find a mirror, or something to look in. I didn't have to go far at least, there was a puddle very close by to where I woke up.

I stared into the puddle and jumped… my face wasn't there. What was supposed to be there was the face of a Houndour… I had to be dreaming, I just had to. I bit my own leg and screamed. This was no dream, I was wide awake. Whatever hit me must've either killed me and put me into this life, or I got sucked into some wormhole… I didn't know whether or not I should be happy, on one hand I was a Pokemon. On the other, I was stuck in a world where I could potentially be taken into captivity and be forced to fight.

One thing I was for certain, I couldn't stay where I was standing. The sun was going down.
