This story was inspired by Dwalkern64's Hell in Beacon.

Furthermore, Destiny and RWBY both belong to their respective owners, Bungie and Roosterteeth, I do this for fun, not money...

Finally, this is my first story, (on this app), and this is being done on a mobile phone, so I am sorry about any typos or grammer errors i make.

Alright. Alright. Alright... Grimm approaching!

It is not unusual for Initiates to immediately begin preparations for their trial after their ceremony is done. It has been this way since our ancestors first came here… Why would we not uphold tradition? Mother-kell looked at me with pride and worry as I left to begin final preparations…

My ship, Kell's Descent, was nearly ready. I only had to receive the Shank-drones Falex-7, and my extra clothing. My weapons were on the ship and our Armor is worn during the Awakening, in case a semblance or two suddenly activated. I was still debating whether or not to bring my Ether tanks.

Ah… Ether, our ancestors, (and Dreniks,) require Ether to survive. However, as more and more generations came to be, our people's reliance on Ether declined to the point where it could be replaced by commonplace foods and drinks… But personally, I prefer to mix Ether into my Coffee when I get the chance… Makes the caffeine work better… Eliksni such as I can still gain temporary strength and endurance from Ether, a downgrade from the permanent enhancements our elders have… As I carried my Ether and Clothing to my ship, Mother-kell walked beside me…

"You carry a great weight upon your shoulders… You realize that?" Mother looked at me with worry in her four eyes.

Seeing no other Eliksni in the hallway, I let my mask of confidence fade," I do… If I fail this trial… The last of the Roseus lineage, would be lost to the deep… I do wish that I had aid aside from just 25 Shanks and a lone Servitor. I would even requisition one of the outdated Spider Tanks! And you know how old they are. Mother-kell."

Mom chuckled slightly at the mention of the Spider-Tank, what were once signs of power amongst the houses was now but an artifact, she grabs an Item from her cloak and presents it to me, "This mission is one of vast proportions daughter… That is why I and Dreniks-Archpriest have decided to send a stealth Ketch to provide reinforcement and fire-support should you need it, and onboard is a detachment of elite Silent Fang Operatives, should you need to strike from the shadows. But do not call upon them needlessly, or they will take their Ketch away from your command, understand?"

The Silent Fang was working with me on this? I huffed in surprise and accepted the comm stick from mother-kell. "Thank you, mother-kell, the aid of the Silent Fang will make our battles easier to fight. I will uphold the mission, even if it costs me my life…" Mother frowned when I said that…

"Do not mistake your worth Crimson… sometimes it is better to live to fight another, than die in vain," she seemed… scared,"make sure you come home in one piece okay?" Mom then hugged me.

"I will." I returned the hug, and we went our separate ways.

I sat in the cockpit of my Skiff after securing my cargo, uncertainty trying to claw its way into my mind. I shook off the distraction and started the reactor… The shock dust core hummed to life as the grav-lev engines activated, and the Kell's Descent lifted up off of the ground, The Shank drones sat in recharge mode, while Falex conversed with my Ether-Servitor, Quill-1. I steered the ship out of the hangar and into House Dust airspace. I opened my comm suite and transmitted codes for the opening of the veil.

The Veil is one of the last few pieces of pure Eliksni technology… Its Arc core, the most powerful of them all, remains running long after the cores in our machines died out due to Dust (the resource) interference. It has created a massive zone on the continent of Draconus, (the dragon-shaped Continent,) in which no Grimm or Human, or machine can enter without our permission… Those that try to pass through the Veil without permission, fry on contact with the massive barrier. Although subterranean Grimm can still cause problems for us.

As my ship approached the Veil, a hole formed allowing my ship to pass through without harm, the veil soon reclosed after I had passed through, stealth systems online. I did enjoy seeing the nearby Nevermore Flock get zapped trying to get through the now non-existent hole. As I watched my home shrink into the distance, a sun set upon Remnant casting it into an eerie darkness…

A dark shadow grows in the night… Will the Rose's Light be enough to save us all?

And so Crimson Splice sets off, to rendezvous with her Hidden allies...

What shall happen next I wonder, for not even I know what I will write...
