Prologue
Four years ago
Chaos. Everywhere.
Gunfire echoing down the halls.
People screaming as they ran for shelter.
A steady pitter-patter of blood.
Elizabeth Stewart was pushing her frightened classmate toward the classroom when a nasty laugh made her shove her friend forward into the room as her blood ran cold. She turned on her heel, and saw exactly what she had expected. Two men with cocked guns, both of which were pointed at her.
Two gunshots. Each hit their mark. One in her shoulder, one in her leg.
She spun around, pain not yet felt, and yanked the door closed before turning to block the gunmen's path. Anything to slow them down, keep them from getting to her friends too soon.
Two more shots rang out. One in her arm, the other in her side. It only served to infuriate her more.
She advanced slowly upon the men, leaving a trail of bright red blood behind her.
One final shot. Her chest. The world spun around her, before fading into black. She did not get back up.
Author's Note:
This story will include K-Unit, but I didn't have enough room to add Wolf or Ben/Fox :(. Also, there will be a bit of Sherlock Holmes and perhaps someone else. I will put a note at the end of the chapter before the one including another character noting their presence.
