Waylon groggily opened his eyes, his mind cloudy for a moment.

"Uh… w-where…?" Waylon said dazily, only for a pounding to snap him back to reality. He whipped his head around to see Eddie Gluskin pounding the wall in anguish, realizing that he was strapped to a table, naked.

"Why… Why did she leave? Am I not good enough? Even after all that I've promised?!" Eddie wailed as he pounded the wall. "I swore that I would be a good father! That I'd be better than the monsters who hurt me! But it's not enough! Darling… why can't you see that this is for you?!"

The insane killer marched over to where Waylon was strapped down and loomed over him, a crazed look in his eyes.

"You understand, don't you?! How much we need this?! To… to have a child to hold, to watch over, to protect… I… We need that feeling!"

Eddie then started up something that made Waylon's face turn pale: a saw at the end of the table.

"All I need is to cut away everything vulgar! Make a place to welcome my seed! Then once we have a child, you can go, I swear! So please… please… BEAR THE PAIN!"

Waylon started screaming as he tried in vain to struggle away from the saw, the device being moved ever closer to his sensitive area. But, just before it reached him…

"Get away from him!"

A Variant jumped Eddie, pulling him away from the saw. The unnamed hero started beating on Eddie before a familiar face appeared as well, undoing the restraints on Waylon.

"C-Cyrus…?" Waylon mumbled in between gasps of air at the sheer relief.

"We'll talk once we're safe, let's go!" Cyrus said as he pulled Cyrus up, supported him with his shoulder, and escorted him quickly out of the room. Meanwhile, the Variant punched Eddie in the head before he took off after the two, Eddie giving chase after a second of recovery.

"Come back! I'm not done with them!" Eddie yelled after the rescuers.

"So, y'all want us to help ya take Gluskin down?"

"Yes. I have a plan. I remember… he was taking a body to the gymnasium. If we can lure him there…"

"B-But how are we gonna do that? The Groom is strong, mean sonova bitch. We can't beat 'im."

"Not in a straight fight. But, if we play it smart, we just might be able to win. You, in the chair, what's your name?"

"Uh… H-Hugo."

"Well, Hugo, you will be helping Cyrus in luring The Groom to the gym. Are you willing to do so?"

"Hmm… if this plan o' yers gets us outta here… then we'll do it! Boy, untie the goat."

"Sure, Pa." Timmy said as he untied the Variant.

"Alright." Cyrus said. "Here's what we do…"

"Run, Hugo, run!" Cyrus said as he limped along with Waylon, Eddie on their heels.

"Come back, you sluts!" Eddie roared in anger. "You don't deserve to have children! You don't even deserve to live! Let us have our child!"

"M-Mr. Cyrus, h-he's g-gaining on us!" Hugo stuttered.

"Come on, we're almost there!" the informant said as they spotted the doors to the gymnasium. "Yes, we're gonna make it!"

The two barreled into the gym, followed shortly by the Groom.

"You can't hide from me, you whores! I'll rip the wombs from your guts!" Eddie yelled maniacally.

"No, I don't think you will." a voice said as Kotoko and Dennis were standing in the middle of the gym.

"So, if these two varmints are luring the Groom, what're the rest o' us gonna do?"

"Why, prepare the trap, of course. He showed me the gym, and he has the corpse hung by the rafters. There were at least 50 of them, last I counted. Now, all those bodies will be heavy, won't they?"

"Darling, what are you doing?" Eddie asked. "If they get away, we may never have a child!"

"That's for the best." Kotoko stated. "As much as you try, someone like you… can never give a stable home for a child. Beyond that, I am not, nor will I ever be, your darling. My heart belongs to someone else."

The Groom looked hurt for a moment, until his face contorted in rage. "Fine then! You can hang with the rest of them!"

Eddie charged at Kotoko and Dennis, the Variant pulling out his cleaver.

"Ya won't scare us no more, ya hear?" Dennis yelled as he swung the cleaver towards Eddie's neck. However, the Groom grabbed hold of the man's arm, stopping the attack and throwing him away to hit the wall of the gym.

"I try and I try! And yet, you all betray me!" Eddie said, trying to grab the goddess of Wisdom, who kept leaping out of the way. "All I want is to be a father! Is that so wrong?! Is it a crime to want to care for another?!"

"It is when you try to force yourself on others!" Cyrus shouted, drawing the Groom's attention. "Face it, Gluskin! You're no better than your father!"

That sentence stopped Eddie cold, silence falling over the room, until…

"...AAAAHHHH!" Gluskin roared as he barreled towards the informant, knocking him to the ground with a well placed punch. "Whore! Slut! HANG AND DIE!" the Variant raged as he pulled a rope around Cyrus's neck and started hoisting him up.

"Q-Quick, n-now's our c-c-ch-hance!" Hugo said as the others quickly ran over to Cyrus and started to pull him down.

"C'mon, ya bastard, c'mon…" Dennis struggled as they continued to pull.

"God damnit, what are you…?" Eddie growled until he noticed that he was being pulled by the rope. "Wait… no, stop! You all need to behave! No, no, no, no…"

With one final yell, the group yanked Cyrus down. The weight shift called the system of ropes to hoist Eddie up, impaling him on a metal bar on the ceiling.

The group caught their breath as they looked up at Eddie, the Groom looking down at them until he faced Kotoko.

"We… could have been… beautiful…" Eddie croaked before he fell limp. The Groom was dead.

"...A victim who became a monster, that's what you were." Kotoko said. "Despite all you've done… I hope you find some semblance of peace."

"Waylon, you alright?" Cyrus asked the whistleblower, who looked up at the informant with disbelieving eyes.

"You… you saved me. Even after I left you behind." Waylon said. "Why?"

"Because you helped me, even though you didn't have to." Cyrus stated. "I have to help people, even if I'm scared. That's… that's the right thing to do."

"...That's a hell of a way to live." Waylon chuckled, until he grunted. "Ah, damn… it's been a damn long night. Let's… let's go home."

"Indeed. Let's be off." Kotoko agreed, before she turned to Dennis and Hugo. "I don't suppose you're willing to come with us?"

"Ya kiddin'? Anywhere's better than here." Dennis said.

"A way out! About damn time!"

"We, we can finally find real friends, p-people who actually accept us… that sounds nice, don't it, Pa?"

"Heh, first sensible thing you've said all night, boy. Let's get outta this hell."

"I-I-I'll come t-t-to." Hugo stuttered. "I-I-I just w-w-wanna see the s-s-sun."

And so, the five walked out the gymnasium, Waylon being supported by Cyrus, the nightmare over at last.
