Two days had passed since they blew up the bridge. The teens took turns keeping guard around the camp but no one saw any sign of Grounders. Meanwhile, Raven had attempted to make contact with the Ark but was unsuccessful. A rumor eventually spread that the Ark had ended up completely lacking air and no one had survived. Charlie had finally accepted this idea, she had cried all night thinking about her father up there. Camille, however, refused to believe it and still had hopes that her mother would make it to earth one day or another.

The girls were with Octavia right now. They were in the smokehouse, hanging meat. A boy entered the cabin and put logs on the campfire. Octavia turned to him "You don't want the fire too big so maybe just try to knock it down with some wet leaves"

"You get that from your boyfriend, Grounder Pounder ?" the guy replied.

Camille raised an eyebrow and was about to fight with the guy but Murphy spoke first. "She's right. A hot fire isn't gonna preserve meat as well"

"Well, if you can't take the heat, get out of the smokehouse. You should kissing our asses for being allowed back in this camp. Just keep working"

Camille gasped "Excuse you? You want me to get you out of the camp myself maybe? Just wait until I- "She approached him threateningly. The guy had taken a few steps back but Charlie had grabbed Camille's arm and pulled her back. She then glared at the guy and threatened "Leave, or I let her go"

The guy shook his head and got out of the tent. Murphy winked at the girls with a smirk before turning to Octavia. "Your brother couldn't get you a better job? Anything would be better than working in the meat furnace. "

"Oh probably. That just means someone else would have to do it." replied Octavia.

Charlie gave her a look before returning to her task. After a while Charlie started to cough as a lot of smoke had filled the cabin. Too much smoke. Suddenly, a wooden wall caught fire to the right of the smokehouse. Everything happened quickly after that. The fire spread with an impressive speed. Camille took Octavia by the hand as Murphy pulled Charlie out of the cabin. The four caught their breath in front of the smokehouse which was burning.

Bellamy came, running and walked over to Octavia. Murphy looked up and saw the boy who had added more logs to the fire. He got up and walked over to him "This is all your fault ! We told you it was too much wood !"

"Get away from me !" yelled the guy before the two boys started hitting each other. Bellamy intervened while Charlie pulled Murphy back.

"Save it for the Grounders" said Bellamy

Octavia, who was sitting on the floor next door, asked "Bell, now what the hell are we gonna do ? That was all the food !"

Bellamy didn't answer and the 100 stared silently as the fire burned all their reserves to ashes. After long hours, the fire was finally extinguished, leaving only smoldering ashes. Charlie and Camille saw Bellamy and Clarke discussing near the remains of the smokehouse. So they walked over to them and heard Clarke ask "What's left here ?"

"Nothing. It all burned" replied Bellamy

"Then we have to hunt. Anyone we can spare goes out."

"Wait ! What ? 'anyone we can spare' ? What the fuck does that mean princess ?" replied Charlie sharply

"She's right. We can't send people out, not with the whole Grounder army out there". added Bellamy

"Look, we can defend ourselves if we're starving"

"Fine ! I say we can spare you. You are not so indispensabe after all" said Camille before leaving. Charlie spat at Clarke's foot before following her.

The girls had walked away grumbling. Clarke was crossing the line as always. They still decided to go hunting too, refusing to let teenagers lose their lives to feed them. They would go get their food themselves.

"Each group takes someone with a gun. But they're for killing Grounders, not food. We don't have the ammo. Use the spears for hunting." said Bellamy to the people getting ready to hunt.

"Can I use my gun to shoot Clarke?" Charlie asked with an innocent smile. Bellamy bit back a laugh and shook his head before talking again "Get what you can and be back by nightfall. No one stays out after dark. "

After listening to Bellamy's speech, Charlie and Camille headed for the forest. They heard someone call out their names and turned around. Murphy quickly walked over to them and asked if he could hunt with them. The girls agreed and the three started their search for animals. They found small animals, but killing them with spears was no easy task.

Charlie cursed when she missed her target once more. Murphy smirked and said in a mocking voice "You really are not talented sweetheart"

Charlie gave him a glare "Yeah well, sorry. My father taught me how to shoot with a gun, not a spear. "

After bringing up her father, Charlie felt the familiar pain in her chest. She looked down at the floor and took a deep breath. Murphy lost his smirk and put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry for your father. You too Camille. I'm kind of lucky, nobody was waiting for me up there. "

Camille shook her head and rolled her eyes. As Charlie hugged Murphy. The boy, disturbed, took a few moments before closing his arms around her. Charlie huffed with ease before saying "We're a family now. All together. We no longer have anyone either "

It was too much for Camille. She turned sharply to her best friend and glared at her. She then moved closer to the girl and raised her finger at her. "Stop saying that! They are not dead! Our parents are still alive, for christ sake "

Charlie held back her nervousness. She thought Camille was still stuck in the denial phase of grief. "Camille, Ark has been off the radio for weeks. They had sacrificed people because of the lack of air, remember that? "

Camille gasped before speaking in an icy voice. "My father died because of that! How can you imply that I forgot ?! The Ark thought we were dead too when we took off our wristbands! Yet I have the impression that you are still breathing ! "

"It was a whole different situation."

"Why ? Raah sometimes you're really a huge pain in the ass Charlie! You will see the day our parents find a way to join us, how stupid you will feel! " said Camille before leaving them.

"Where are you going ?" asked Charlie

"At camp." replied Camille

Murphy watched Camille leave before turning to Charlie "You're okay?"

Charlie nodded, sighing "Come on, let's go home too. It's not like we're efficient anyway "

The two therefore followed Camille's footsteps. Once at camp, Bellamy quickly walked over to them. "Are you already there? I saw Camille come in too, but she rushed to the dropship. Everything is fine ?"

Charlie huffed again and replied, "Yes don't worry. We had a fight but it's going to be fine. I go to my tent a bit, call me if you need me. "

She then quickly left for her tent as Bellamy turned to Murphy with a questioning gaze. He shrugged his shoulders and left too. Bellamy shook his head and went back to work.

Camille was indeed in the dropship with Monty and Raven. When she arrived, Monty was working with the radio and crackling sounds coming from it. She then learned that they were building walkie-talkies.

"Monty, I found some good antenna wire for the radios. This guy was using it to fix his bed. Do you find anything else from the Exodus ship wreckage ?" asked Raven

"Yeah, data log. You wanna hear something weird ?" replied Monty

Monty tampered with a cable and distorted voices were heard from the radio. "Sounds life interference" said Raven

"Wait, it gets weirder. When the signal hit, their nav system went nuts. They never got it back, and then boom. It's like something was jamming the signal" replied Monty

"That is weird" agreed Raven "It also makes no sense, whatsoever. Now pull the drives and speakers"

"You want to strip it ? But if you do that, we'll never find out where they crashed" said Camille

"We need every component we can get our hands on, if we're gonna make walkies. And I need the radio" replied Raven

"No way ! How are we supposed to contact the Ark ?" asked Monty

Raven pressed a button and turned the radio frequency on. A continuous high-pitched sound was heard and she said "The Ark's not there, you're listening to a hole in the sky"

"Our families are up there, Raven !" shouted Camille

She paused before ripping the radio from its cables. "I'm sorry" she whispered and turned to work. A commotion was heard outside and Raven and Monty stepped out of the tent. Camille shook her head and took a deep breath to hold back her tears before following them. The hunters were entering the camp.

"The hunters are back ? Is Finn with them ?" asked Raven to Murphy

"Hey, relax. I'm sure Clarke is keeping them out of trouble" Monty replied and Camille hit him on the back of the head. He shrugged and she sighed. She saw Raven go to her tent and Camille decided to follow her. Charlie arrived at the same time and positioned herself next to Murphy "What is going on ?" she asked

Murphy gave her a mysterious smile and Charlie raised an eyebrow. He shook his head and Charlie gave him a kick in the shoulder, smiling. She then helped him gut the fish a group had caught.

"Spacewalker and Princess still haven't returned. Raven was worried and left for her tent, Camille followed her. " said Murphy

Charlie rolled her eyes. "Still so dramatic. She can't come home at the same time as everyone else. Always wanting to stand out. So annoying "

Murphy laughed before responding, "Grounders aren't far away. Maybe something happened to them. We should send people to look for them, right? It would be the right thing to do "

Charlie looked at him, dubiously. "You're kidding, right? No ! If the Grounders kidnapped her, they're doing us a favor. Don't alert anyone, hopefully they'll forget about them. "
