Prologue: Changes
Dani groaned as she slowly woke up feeling her arms bound to her sides by glowing green ropes. She slowly rose up, and looked up in front of her seeing a statue. The statue was of Jack, Maddie and Jazz Fenton, along with Dash Baxter and Paulina Sanchez, who were Dani's mother, father and sister along with her best friends.
"Gone but not forgotten." Dani said, staring at the words under the statue. She turned and giggled seeing a statue of her old teacher with the words, 'Just Gone' under him.
"What?" She asked looking around seeing the destroyed Nasty Burger, her eyes widening in surprise.
"Funny how one massive fireball of highly combustible condiments, can ruin your future huh?" Dark Danielle says, walking out from behind the rubble of the fast food joint.
"The medallion?" Dani asked looking down at her chest, shivering remembering when her evil selfs hand passed through her A cup breasts.
"Fused inside of you. Nifty power aint it? Intangible and unreachable whether your ghost or human, which means..." Dark Danielle says leaning forward, smirking at her younger self. "You can't go back in time, at least... until I decide you can." She says standing straight up and laughing loudly.
She shakes her head before raising her hand as it glows with green energy, opening a portal.
"It doesn't matter if I go back in time or not. I'll never turn into you. NEVER!" Dani yells at her older self. "I don't care what you do to me, but i'll make sure this never happens."
The older Dani shakes her head at her younger self, before a red ring appears around her feet. The ring slowly runs up the woman's body slowly changing her into her human self, though much older then the one in front of her. Her hair was longer and was held in a ponytail, and her breasts were larger nearly D cup. She wore a white shirt with black pants with a pair of pink high heels. Instead of normal blue eyes that Dani had, her older self still had her red eyes.
"What do you think Dani? We turn out to be quite the looker don't we?" The older woman says laughing before two white rings appear around her middle. One of the rings move up and the other moves down, causing the older woman's looks to change to that of her younger self. "Now... I think it's time I make sure my past remains the same." She says grabbing the real Dani. "But I need you out of my hair for the time being so..." She says throwing her younger self through the portal. "In you go." She finishes with a laugh.
-In the Ghost Zone with teen Dani-
"I gotta get out of this." Dani says struggling against the ropes binding her. "I'm going ghost!" she cries out as two white rings appear around her, one moving up her body and the other moving down, changing her into her ghost form.
She continues to struggle for a moment before stopping and letting out a sigh. "Was worth a try."
"Well well well... Here we were planning on how we were going to come after you, and then you come all bound up like a present." A bulky blue skinned man says grinning.
"Bo... Box Ghost?" Dani says, seeing the man in front of her.
"Beware." The box ghost says coldly, lifting a hand up that was glowing blue.
He extends his hand shooting the teen with an ecto-beam, blasting her away. She slams into another man who was balding and in a wheelchair. She looks up and gasps at the man.
"Johnny? Oh my god..." she says shocked seeing the man now in a wheelchair.
"Been waiting a long time for this slut." Johnny says, as the black blanket lifts up and turns into Shadow, before flying at Dani and slamming into her full speed and knocking her away.
Dani groans as she floats away from Johnny after being hit by the bad luck shadow.
"Well hello there." another voice says with a scowl.
Dani turned around as she floated and backed away seeing Ember but much larger than before.
"Ember?!" Dani cries out, her eyes widening seeing the woman in front of her. "What happened?"
Ember growled at Dani. "You mean after you destroyed my vocal cords with that Ghostly Wail of yours?" She cried out, strumming her guitar, firing a blast of energy at Dani.
Dani cried out in pain as the blast hit her sending her sailing backwards.
"Hello my sweet Danielle." Said another voice, that caused the teen to twist around and stare at the woman in front of her.
"Kitty?" Dani said stunned, looking at the woman. Her hair was much longer than the half ghost remembered, her green locks extending down to her ass. She wore an elegant red dress trimmed with black, along with a pair of red heels. Her right hand was bandaged tightly.
Kitty smirked at the teen, before reaching out and grabbing the teen by the collar with her left hand, before spinning and slamming the younger girl into a wall that floated behind her. Dani let out a grunt of pain as she felt herself slam into the wall, before looking up at the once biker girl.
"What happened to you? To all of you? Why.. why are you blaming me?" Dani asked out of breath as she looked over the ghosts that had gathered around her.
"Why are we blaming you? Because it's your fault for everything that's happened in your world and ours." Skulktech 9.9 said, looking at the girl.
"Your friends, your family, the ghost zone, and most importantly... me." Kitty says, glaring at the girl as she pulls her away from the wall, only to slam her back into the wall with even more force than before.
Dani lets out a howl of pain from the impact of the slam.
"Please... I... I didn't mean for any of this to happen... you have to believe me." Dani says trying to catch her breath seemingly having a hard time.
"Perhaps..." Kitty says looking at the teen that she held in her hands against the wall.
"Come on Kitten. Kill her already." Johnny called out from behind the other ghosts.
"Shut it cripple!" Kitty says growling behind her at her former boyfriend. "I'll kill her when i'm damn well ready, and not a moment before, and don't you EVER call me that!" She says glaring at all the ghosts behind her, before turning her attention to the teen she still held against the wall.
Dani looked down at the woman's bandaged hand, feeling something different from how it felt compared to her other hand. "What.." Dani says before coughing. "Happened to your hand?" Dani asked looking up at Kitty.
Kitty glares at Dani before her expression softens seeing the innocence in the teens eyes.
"You crushed it when I tried to comfort you once." The woman says, keeping her eyes locked on Dani.
Dani's eyes widened before looking down into the void below her. "I'm so sorry Kitty. I... I would never do something like that... I.. I don't know why I would do that."
Kitty raises her right hand and stares at it, before letting out a sigh, letting her hand glow green. She swipes the glowing hand down Dani's chest, missing the teens skin barely as her hand slices the ropes. The former biker girl shakes her head and backs off of Dani.
"I have no idea why I'm doing this." Kitty says softly.
"Move it bitch!" Skuchtech 9.9 says in a higher pitched voice than before. "We knew you wouldn't be able to kill him." he said in his deeper voice, raising an arm towards the teen, a weapon appearing out of his wrist and began charging.
Kitty grabs the robot's weapon and crushes it with her left hand.
"No... Don't kill her." The green haired woman says pulling the remains of the weapon off of the suit. "This isn't the Dani that made our lives a living hell."
"It doesn't matter if this is the one or a different one. Kill one and they all disappear." Box Ghost said angrily, as his hand charged an ecto-beam.
Kitty grit her teeth looking behind her at the teen Dani who would cough from time to time, holding a hand to her chest.
"If we kill her, will we be any better than the Danielle who did all this to us?" Kitty says calmly, turning her back to the ghost girl behind her, to look out among the ghosts.
"Doesn't matter." Skulktech 9.9 says, lifting his other arm and popping open another weapon from his other wrist.
Kitty grit her teeth seeing every ghost preparing some attack to try and kill the young girl behind her.
"If you wanna hurt Dani, you're going to have to go through me." Kitty says, extending her arm across the teen protectively. "You all know I have the biggest reason of all to kill Danielle, but I won't be privy to murder like this." She says her hair glowing.
Dani looked up and stared at Kitty's back seeing the woman trying to protect her.
"So be it..." Dani hears Skulktech say before firing a rocket at the rocker,
Dani doesn't even think before firing a plasma beam at the rocket and destroying it, before appearing in front of Kitty protectively.
"I didn't do anything to any of you. So just get away from me, and don't you dare try to hurt Kitty." Dani says, trying to catch her breath. She had been feeling like her lungs were being stepped on since Kitty had slammed her into the wall a second time.
The ghosts growled at the teen halfa as they prepared to fire their attacks at the young girl.
"Then you die ghost girl." Box Ghost said, throwing his arm forward and shooting an ecto-beam at the teen. Following Box Ghost's lead the rest of the ghosts launched attacks of their own to over power the young girl.
"No... stop... STOP!" Dani screamed out closing her eyes as she felt a surge of power rush up her body as shockwaves of sound erupted from her mouth.
Kitty clamped her hands over her ears knowing very well what attack the young girl was using as she watched in amazement, as every single attack the gather ghosts fired, either withered out or blew up before reaching the girl, before her eyes widened watched the shockwaves hit the ghosts themselves throwing them all across the zone.
Dani pants for breath as she stopped screaming, causing her ghostly wail to cease. Two white rings formed around her and changed her back into her human self from the strain of the new power she just used.
"Was... was that the ghostly wail?" Dani asked out loud, trying to catch her breath, as she looked out over all the ghosts that were now unconscious.
"That it was." Kitty said, as she floated up behind Dani and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Surprising really, as the first time you used that was when you were five years older." she said with a sigh looking down at the young girl. "This just proves that time is not set in stone and can be changed."
Dani turned smiling at Kitty before returning to her ghost half.
"Thanks Kitty. For believing." She said with a smile. "Now I just need to find out how to get back to my time." she said, raising a hand to her chest. She causes her hand to go intangible, before pushing it inside of her chest trying to locate the medallion.
She pulls her hand out and lets out a sigh as she fails.
Kitty raised an eyebrow at Dani's actions watching her fumble around within her own chest.
"What were you doing?" Kitty asked, crossing her arms.
"Trying to get the Time Medallion out of me. My evil self pushed it into my chest, and said something about fusing it with me. I was hoping I would be able to get it out. Guess not though." She said with a dejected sigh.
"Well... how about some help from an old enemy? I know someone who just might be able to get that medallion out." Kitty says with a grin.
Dani blinks as she looks at Kitty confused. "You might be able to get it out?" She asked.
Kitty shakes her head turning away from the teen. "No but I know someone who might be able to. Follow me." She says, as she starts flying away.
Dani shrugs her shoulders as she flies after the former biker.
The two fly silently through the Ghost Zone for a while, before Dani breaks the veil.
"Kitty... Why are you willing to help me? I mean after everything my future self did to you." Dani said looking down as she continued to follow Kitty.
Kitty looks behind her seeing the teen's head hanging down, and lets out a sigh.
"Because, before Danielle actually did those things we were quite close. She was very sweet and kind to me after she started living here." Kitty said, looking back ahead.
"Living here? What do you mean?" Dani asked looking back up at the woman in front of her and blushed brightly seeing a pair of bright pink panties under the bikers dress.
"I'll explain in a few minutes once we get to the portal." Kitty said, as she flew towards a glowing green football.
She smirked and pushed the ball out of the way to reveal a swirling portal hidden behind it.
"Come on." She said quickly entering the portal.
Dani blinked looking at the football and could guess who portal it was as she followed Kitty through. As she passed through the portal she took a look around the dark area she arrived in, before seeing the lights turning on all around her.
"Why hello Danielle. Such a pleasure to see you." An aged and deep voice said, as a chair turned around towards the teen, showing a man with grey hair.
"Vlad." Dani said gritting her teeth, as she dropped into a fighting stance in case he tried to attack.
Vlad raised his hand and shook it towards the ghost girl. "Now now. I won't attack you." He said, before motioning to his side where Kitty stood. "Kitty here told me the story, while you passed through the portal, and I must say. It is quite odd finding you here, I guess Clockwork is trying to change the timeline to make it better." The man said, standing up and moving over to a closed case. He opened the case and started digging around.
"I told you I would tell you what happened when we got here, so listen up." Kitty says seriously, pulling Dani's attention away from Vlad. "Ten years ago a accident occurred that ended up killing your family and best friends." She said, taking a seat in an old and beaten chair. "You were in so much pain over that loss that you fled into the ghost zone to get away from everything. While you were there, Ember attacked you, but you never attacked back. When I came across you, to me it looked like someone had broken you." She said, leaning forward placing her elbows on her knees.
Dani shivered thinking about how she would feel if she lost her family and friends.
"I took you in trying to help you because of our past. We ended up becoming very close. I could tell you were never the same hero as you once were though. You never returned to the human world in five years, and then... you did what I told you about before." Kitty explained staring at Dani. "Then over the last five years... you became what you saw."
"Kitty believes that you won't follow the same path our Danielle did, so I'll do what I can to get you back to your own time." He said, pulling out a pair of ghost gauntlets.
Dani lets out a gulp. "What... what are you going to do with those?" the teen asks as she backs away from the man.
"I'm going to use them to get that medallion out of you." Vlad says with a sullum smile, as long claws extend from the fingers of the gauntlets.
"Dani." Kitty says walking up behind the teen and placing her hands on the young girl's shoulders. "I'm going to tell you a secret I learned from these last few years of watching your older self." She says kneeling down to be at eye level. "Your ghostly wail, while strong can become even stronger, and consume less power. Your older self never figured it out and you wouldn't either, but the secret to it, is vocal control. Learn to control your own wail and it'll be stronger than anything you can ever use." She said standing up and backing away with a smile.
Dani smiles at Kitty warmly before screaming in pain as she felt the ghost gauntlets claws sink into her back...
