I did say there was a final chapter, so hear it is!
P.S. The characters Tyroth, Freya and Loki mentioned in the chapter belongs to my dear friend and fellow writer Tyroth Darkstorm.
Chapter Fourteen
No sooner did the mutant Turtles and Lizard find the manhole than they lifted the lid and jumped into the sewers.
Donatello pulled the lid over the top and they stood for a moment at the bottom, keeping their backs to the wall away from the running sewer water.
Leonardo held Kemeko tightly then loosened his grip as soon as they were safely underground.
Yet, Kemeko refused to let go of Leonardo and she clung tighter.
Leonardo looked down at Kemeko and stroked her back.
"It's okay little Lotus." He said "It's over, we're in the sewers, we're safe! I promise!"
Kemeko sniffled and opened one eye, seeing that her father was right, they were in the sewers and away from those Venomous Reptiles.
"Kemeko." Michelangelo jumped in before anyone could stop him "Are you okay Lotus Blossom?"
"Let her breathe Mikey!" Raphael scolded.
Leonardo looked down at Kemeko.
"Oh Gosh Turtle Child." He said hugging her again "I thought I was going to lose you."
"Thank you for saving me daddy!" Kemeko sobbed "I thought that wicked snake was going to get me!"
"Well, she won't now!" Mona said, "Not after what your daddy did to that skank!"
"You think that impaling would have killed her?" Raphael asked, "I bloody hell hope so!"
"If the vital organs were hit yes." Donatello said "Yet, with Dr Arden's scientific modifications…."
The turtles and Mona sighed.
"It's possible she still lives! Because of me and Tyroth's healing abilities he stole!" Mona growled "Damn that evil disfigured Monster of a witch-doctor!"
"Guys!" Leonardo interrupted his brothers and adopted sister "I think that's enough, I don't even care if Cobra lived or died, I just want to get Kemeko home! She's been through a lot today!"
"Good idea fearless." Raphael agreed then turned to the others "Come on guys!"
Mona, Donatello and Michelangelo nodded, and the five mutants ran back to the lair.
Back home, Splinter was sitting with Pandora watching the TV.
They were watching the Disney Film 'The Princess and the Frog' and Pandora was laying on the sofa with her head on Splinter's lap whilst the old rat was stroking her hair every so often.
After the grown-ups had left, Splinter had made some Jasmine Tea and poured some milk for Pandora as well as arranged a plate of Honey muffins for them to share.
Pandora was indeed scared wondering if Kemeko, her parents and Uncles would be okay, but her grandfather once again reassured her that they would be fine.
Yet deep down, the old rat too was concerned, as any father would be for their children, especially since they were to confront dangerous foes, whether it be the Purple Dragons, the Foot, Venomous Five or any evil doers for that matter.
He almost jumped out of his skin when he heard footsteps, and he turned around to see the turtles, Mona and Kemeko come through the entrance of the lair.
"My children!" he exclaimed in relief.
Pandora also jumped up with a start and looked over the back of the sofa to see her parents, Uncles and Kemeko appear.
"Mum! Dad!" she leapt down from the sofa and ran over whilst Splinter paused the film and followed his granddaughter.
Raphael and Mona instantly embraced their daughter, who didn't seem bothered they were looking bloody and sweaty.
"Told you we'd be back soon Little Geisha!" Michelangelo winked as he stroked Pandora's hair.
"My children!" Splinter cried "I'm so glad you're safe! Please! Tell me what happened!"
"We will Master." Leonardo said, "But right now, we need to get Kemeko calm and cleaned, not to mention the rest of us!"
"Very well!" Splinter agreed "I will fix you all some drinks and snacks and we shall talk in the TV area."
After an hour, the mutants were all clean, and Leonardo had managed to give Kemeko a bath and put her in her favourite panda onesie and the little Japanese girl was sitting on the sofa next to Pandora holding Cuddles whilst Pandora held Geisha Bear and Ninja Bear.
The other mutants sat on the chairs and beanbags whilst sipping some hot chocolate (Or herbal tea in Splinter's case) and eating honey muffins.
Leonardo explained to Splinter how he and Kemeko had been trying to do their training to help her overcome her fear of the darkness, but how Kemeko had sensed the Venomous Five were nearby and how they were attacked.
"Those dishourable monsters!" Splinter growled.
Leonardo nodded.
"I held them off for as long as I could until the others showed up after I told Kemeko to run and hide which she did in the vent." He said, "Then through their dishourable actions they subdued us, and Cobra went hunting for Kemeko as she was hiding in the vent!"
Pandora looked fearful as she looked at Kemeko.
"Did that nasty snake hurt you?" she asked scootching closer to Kemeko.
"No." Kemeko said as she held Cuddles closer "But she chased me! I thought she was going to get me!"
"But through your navigation through the vent, you got away Turtle Child!" Michelangelo praised "Well done!"
Kemeko nodded then looked at her father, Uncles and Aunt.
"How did you get away from the V5?" she asked, "I heard them overpower you, then Cobra chased me."
Raphael looked at Mona and placed a hand on hers.
"Well, we got your Aunt Mona to thank Lotus Blossom."
Flashback
Mona stretched her fingers down to the kuni knife on her leg all the while trying to make sure Komodo Dragon wasn't paying attention to her.
"Come on!" she grunted, sweat pouring down her forehead, her heart beating so hard and fast it hurt.
"Come on! Dammnit! Come on!"
After what seemed like a long time, she finally grasped the knife and pulled it out of the strap on her leg and she grasped it tightly.
"Yes!" she thought triumphally and she stabbed Komodo Dragon's hand with all her might, the knife embedded deep into the flesh and stayed there!
As that happened, Komodo Dragon gave a roar of pain and lifted his hand to investigate.
As soon as that happened, Mona jumped up and grabbed her fan before slashing Komodo Dragon's face making him recoil and fall backwards, releasing Raphael in the process.
The other Venomous Five were distracted and they looked towards Komodo Dragon.
As the large lizard stumbled from being slashed, he fell against Nile Monitor who dropped Donatello who grabbed his throat coughing.
Michelangelo also saw his chance to drop himself forward and throw Gila Monster off him, forcing the lizard to let go of his arms and the orange and black lizard was sent flying towards Black Mamba, who didn't have a chance to realise what was going on before Gila Monster bowled her off Leonardo like a ball striking a skittle!
"Strike!" Michelangelo cheered then turned to help Donatello whilst Mona and Raphael jumped over to Leonardo.
"You okay Fearless?" Raphael asked pulling the blue masked turtle to his feet.
"I'm okay, thanks Raph!" he said then turned to Mona "Well done Geisha Warrior!" he said to which Mona winked.
"You go and find Kemeko!" Raphael said "Mona, Mikey, Donnie and I will deal with this Freak idiots!"
"Thanks!" Leonardo nodded in agreement then turned to look over the side of the building where he saw Kemeko had escaped the vent and was in the alleyway.
"Thank goodness!" he thought jumping off the side of the building to get to his daughter, yet his relief was short lived as he saw Cobra appear and leap after Kemeko.
"No!" he thought as he gripped his katana and landed behind Cobra as she stalked towards the terrified Kemeko.
As the Spitter was distracted, Leonardo charged and drove his sword into Cobra's back with such force, the bloody blade appeared through her stomach!
Cobra gasped in pain and shock seeing the blade.
"Stay the fuck away from my daughter! Ugly Bitch!" he snarled then kicked her off his blade into a pile of rubbish at the side where she lay motionless.
Leonardo sheathed his swords, he didn't think to check if he had killed Cobra since Kemeko was his priority and he held out his arms to which the relieved and sobbing Japanese girl ran into them.
End Flashback
"Wow." Kemeko said.
"Well done mummy!" Pandora grinned.
Mona smiled at Pandora and winked.
"It was then I was able to chase after Cobra and I saw her about to pounce on Kemeko, to which I stuck her through the back and out her belly!" Leonardo growled.
Splinter gasped.
"Cobra is dead?" he asked, his eyes widening.
"I don't know." Leonardo sighed "I wasn't able to make sure, Kemeko was a priority and I wanted to get her back to the lair as quickly as possible."
"Whether you killed her or not Leo," Raphael said, "The ugly bitch deserved it!"
"Language!" Splinter snapped, reminding Raphael that they were in the presence of Kemeko and Pandora.
"Sorry kids." Raphael apologised to Kemeko and Pandora.
"It's okay daddy." Pandora said, "You were mad!"
"Oh you bet I was, kiddo!" Raphael said, "No-one hurts our precious kids and gets away with it!"
"Well, whether Cobra survived or not," Leonardo said, "I managed to get Kemeko back safe and sound, and we're all safe home in the lair!"
"Hear hear!" Mona agreed.
"You got that right!" Donatello stated.
"I'm glad I'm safe too!" Kemeko said "And I'm glad I was able to get away from Cobra, the darkness helped me!"
The grown-ups looked at Kemeko who got down from the sofa and stood up tall.
"I am no longer afraid of the dark!" she stated "The darkness is my friend! And I embrace it! I embrace it to keep me safe as I train to be a ninja, hide from my enemies until I strike! There are other creatures to fear! But the darkness is not one of them!"
A smile curled on Leonardo's face as he looked at his adopted daughter.
"Turtle child?" he asked.
"Yes daddy!" Kemeko grinned "The darkness doesn't scare me! It's my friend! And I can't wait to start my ninja training in the dark with Granddad Splinter!"
"Awesome!" Pandora cheered.
"Oh yeah!" Michelangelo clapped his hands.
Raphael, Donatello and Mona grinned happily, and Leonardo knelt down to embrace Kemeko.
"Aww Kemeko!" he said "I'm so proud of you! I knew you could do it!"
"Thank you daddy!" Kemeko hugged Leonardo around his neck "Thank you for helping me no longer be scared!"
Splinter smiled warmly at his adopted granddaughter.
"I'm so proud of you too Kemeko!" he said, "and I am proud of you too Leonardo!"
"Thank you Sensei!" said Leonardo also standing up and bowing to the rat whilst holding Kemeko in his arms.
"I'd say it's time for a celebration!" Michelangelo announced, "Pizza and Champagne?"
"You bet!" Raphael agreed "Lets go!"
Leonardo then placed Kemeko on the sofa next to Pandora.
"How about you two watch another film whilst we prepare dinner?" he asked.
"Okay daddy!" Kemeko smiled and snuggled next to Pandora "Can we watch Mulan?"
"Of course you can!" Leonardo smiled "I'll get it set up."
As he did that, Pandora hugged Kemeko tightly.
"Well done, Kemeko!" she smiled "I knew you could do it! I can't wait to start darkness training with you soon!"
"Me too Pandora!" Kemeko smiled "Yet I'll still hold onto Cuddles for bedtime, just in case!"
"You do that!" Pandora winked "Of course, you never know when you need a companion at night!"
Kemeko smiled and held Cuddles close then looked up at the TV screens came to life to play 'Mulan'.
"You know Kemeko." Pandora said as she snuggled into the sofa "There never really is anything to fear about the dark, as you found out today, there are worst things to fear."
Kemeko nodded.
"And anything and anyone who is worse than the dark, they're afraid of one thing!" Pandora continued.
"Who?" Kemeko asked.
"Tyroth!" Pandora grinned "Uncle Tyroth can see through the darkness almost like we see through daylight, so any monsters or enemies live in the darkness have someone to fear!"
Kemeko smiled as she remembered.
"And Freya and Loki have the same ability?" she asked.
"I should think so!" Pandora replied, "But anyway, it's something to keep in mind just in case you find yourself scared again."
"Thanks Pandora!" Kemeko said gratefully then turned to the TV as their film was about to start.
"Anytime!" Pandora winked.
Yay! Kemeko says she's no longer afraid of the dark! Even though the incident wasn't the nicest way to overcome or at least conquer a fear, there are worst things out there!

I still got Bad Habits and United by Fate to try and finish before the end of the year, but we can only hope and pray! lol! Depends on work and life in general! But I'll see you all soon!
