Sara looked over everything again. There was a pager, pager reader and everything. It looked just like the room at the lab where she had first met Catherine with the added webcam that she could turn on and record from the other side of the wall. Now all that was left was to wait for Grissom to call and tell her that Catherine was on her way.

"Mom, your phone is ringing." Lorelai said as she handed Sara the phone.

"Hello" Sara answered, giving her daughter a nod of thanks for grabbing her phone for her.

'She's on her way.'

"ok"

Sarah's

20 mins later

Catherine's P.O.V.

This is weird. Why would Grissom send her all the way out here to get his dog? She knew that Grissom had told Greg that the lady who normally took the dog was wanting to spend time with her daughter but to have someone watch the dog this far out Grissom had to be out of his mind. As she got out of her car she noticed a young lady walk a dog who looked just like Grissom's. If Catherine would have looked past she would have noticed her daughter laughing at something that was said. She would have also noticed that Warrick's car was parked in the parking lot. But she was just ready to get Hank, what a weird name for a dog, and leave.

Once she stepped in Sarah's, her plans changed. She was told that she was staying for breakfast Grissom had already paid for. If she knew the true reason she might have been happy to stay but as it was she was already forming the words in her head that she was going to tell him. She was led to a room that she thought was a blast from the past. She was standing in what looked to be the lab in 2000 right after Holly was shot. It was weird seeing the set up so much like that day that she sat down in front of the beeper. She did not have to wait long before she heard the door open.

"Do you know where I can find Catherine Willows?"

This was really a blast from the past and she thought she heard Sara's voice. Without looking up she said, "She's out in the field." It was weird how far they had come from that day. "Let me guess… Sara Sidle or is it Grissom?"

Sara let out a laugh when Catherine said the Grissom part. "Still Sidle but one day it will be Grissom." As they hugged Sara knew Catherine had questions and decided to let her ask all of them over breakfast. She heard the door open as they stepped away from the hug, turning to find Lindsey and Mattie standing at the door. "You may take the items away and would you have someone bring in Little Marie for me." With that she turned back towards Catherine.

Catherine had so many questions to ask that she did not know where to start. But with the mention of Little Marie she knew there was one question really two answered but she still did not know who Little Marie was but now she knew whoever she was had to do with Sara.

Sara P.O.V.

She knew that Catherina had questions and knew that it would be easier just to tell everything without answering questions first.

"I know you have questions and I will answer any that you have after you hear what I say. It might be easier than asking all of them." Sara looked towards the door as Mattie brought in Little Marie with Hank right behind her. "First off I want you to meet my goddaughter Elizabeth Marie Taylor or as I am sure you have heard others ask Little Marie." Catherine nodded and reached out to hold the little girl she had heard so much about. "After I left I went to visit an old friend that lived in the area I was going to to clear my head. I spent time with her and her husband helping them get ready for Little Marie. As the days went on I started to wonder if I should just come home and live with the rest of the demons that were still there. Knowing that would not be fair to Grissom or me I stayed but moved into a beach house." Sara said and then realized she had never told anyone but Grissom about her childhood and the issue she had because of it. "I guess I should tell you that I did not have a great childhood. My mother ended up killing my father when I was still young. Anyways I need to bury the ghost of my past. About two months ago my friend gave birth to Little Marie and we talked a couple nights later about me leaving. I had planned on staying with her until Little Marie got out of the hospital. But she talked me into coming home saying that my journey there was finished but I still had one with Grissom." Sara stopped to take a drink of water. This was a lot harder than she thought it would be and the fact that her own baby was moving around did not help much. "The night I decided to leave I started feeling ill, almost like food poisoning. After about ten minutes I told my friends to go to the hospital without me and that I would be up to say bye to Little Marie when I felt a little better. The next thing I remembered was Brass calling me to ask if I was alright. I did not know what he meant until he told me that my friend's car had been involved in a crash and that when they pulled my friend out of the car she was saying my name over and over. They thought that I was in the backseat when the car caught on fire and had burned to death."

At this Catherine stopped her with her hand and said "There was a mix up with the report that Brass got because he did inform us that he got word that you had been killed in a car crash with a couple named Taylor. I am still not sure who took that news harder, Grissom or Greg. I do know that Grissom looked happier when Brass said that it was a mix up and you were not in the car. But for some reason Greg did not hear or believe him because he was down for about two weeks or more."

"I think Greg was worried about Little Marie and what this would all mean for her. Sorry I guess I should tell you that my friend was like a sister to Greg. Sometimes we would tease him claiming she was his ex-wife. I stayed there until Little Marie was let out of the hospital and then drove home as I had something to tell Grissom. I am sorry I did not tell you sooner. The plan was to tell you after Greg but then other things came up."

"When did you get back?"

"February 14th."

"So when Lindsey stayed the night at Grissom's house with her friend you were the one that was there when he was called in." Catherine started laughing, " I should have known he would not leave her there with just anyone."

"And the 'she is someone you have trusted before' should have been a hint" came a voice from the doorway as Grissom walked into the room. Walking over he gave Sara a kiss and then sat down next to her.

"So that is why you don't come to the party and why Greg worked for you the next night." Catherine said watching Grissom who was watching Little Marie sleeping in her arms.

"Yes and I hope now you forgive me for that. Not that I would have had fun that night anyways. With Sara coming home and the news she had, my head was spinning. That was one reason Greg worked for me."

Catherine was about to ask what the news was when Lidsney came into the room with Lorelai in tow. Sara had to laugh. She was glad that Lorelai had found a friend so fast after moving here and then to hear it was Catherine's daughter was even funnier.
