One Month Later

"She ran?!" I sigh over the phone. I'm pacing my office. I found JJ a home a week ago and it's been okay but apparently she hit her point.

"She ran sometime between eight last night and six this morning." The social worker states as I punch the wall.

"Sir when she's found, she's going to be put into a alternative group home or juvenile hall." He states as I sigh.

"Please notify me when she's found. I would like to put eyes on her and know where she is." I state more calmly.

"Will do. Have a good day sir." He adds before hanging up.

"What's wrong?" Dave asks from the door.

"JJ ran." I sigh.

"You need help finding her?" He asks stepping in.

"If I don't find her, child services are going to put her in an alternative group home or juvenile hall. Dave she will not survive that." I state sighing.

"Let's grab Jason and we'll look around. Aaron we'll find her." He states softly patting my back as we walk to Jason's desk.

"We gotta find the girl." Dave states firmly. It doesn't even take Jason a second before he jumps up and we head out quickly. I sigh dialing the one number to the person that I know I'm going to need when we find her.

"It's JJ." That's the only thing I have to say before she agrees to help. We search for what feels like hours before I spot a blob of messy blonde hair curled up on the ground by a dumpster. I bolt out the car as Kate trails right behind me.

"JJ." I state softly but firmly. She snaps her eyes up backing away sacredly.

"JJ It's Kate. Can you look up please?" Kate whispers softly crouching down to JJ's level.

"I didn't want...I want out...I tried to stop...he was too strong." She whimpers breaking down. I feel a lump form in my throat as Kate calls the hospital.

"I'm going to kill that son of a bitch!" I yell not realizing JJ flinches back at my voice.

"Aaron let's go check out the house while Kate takes JJ to the hospital." Jason states grabbing my shoulder.

"No I'm not leaving her! I left her for a week and this happens!" I scream.

"Aaron trust me that it's better that I'm the one to take her. She doesn't need a male around her." Kate whispers as JJ violently shakes sobbing. I sigh finally nodding. She's coming back home with me, I don't even care what Hailey thinks.

"JJ can you squeeze my hand?" I ask as we are in the ambulance. She's darting her eyes back and forth and she's trying to cover her ears.

"Ma'am I need to get an IV started now and she needs to examined. There's evidence of sexual assault and her hip is torn." The paramedic states firmly. I sigh knowing this is going to be a nightmare.

"JJ they're going to get you some medicine started and you're going to start feeling a little better." I whisper as the paramedic rips her arm away causing JJ to screech.

"Can you please be a little more gentle. Can't this wait until the hospital. She's clearly terrified with the sirens and environment." I state angry.

"No it can't ma'am. She's in critical condition and is luckily she's not bleeding internally by the looks of her injuries." He snaps.

"JJ it's okay sweetie. Just focus on me, we're going to get you some help." I whisper brushing her hair back.

"Where is Aaron?!" I snap with Derek and Emily behind me.

"He ran out with Jason and Dave. Something about finding a girl." Anderson states quickly.

"You got to be kidding me?!" I snap rubbing my temple.

"Do you want to leave a message for him?"

"No I would like to see him because two of our actual children are in trouble and he's their parent too!" I yell. I turn to see Jason and Dave walk into the bullpen.

"Where is he?!"

"Hailey..."

"Dammit where is my husband!" I scream.

"Sibley Memorial." Jason sighs as I turn towards the kids telling them to follow silently. I race to the hospital pissed off with my husband.
