Hello everyone!

Before this fanfiction really begins, this, like Thorn's story, is a revival of a character. However, this is for Adventure Time. And the rule for it will be a bit different.

This work will be completely set in the Land of Aaa, making this a Fionna and Cake work instead of a Finn and Jake piece. There are only three or four episodes involving Fionna and Cake, which gives a lot of room for creativity and story building. I know Adventure Time has ended, and I'm trying to rewatch the series, but I have seen all the Fionna and Cake episodes to draw up a story of my own, using the knowledge I know from the show, and this work's previous attempt, and applying it to this.

With that said, keep in mind that this is a fanfiction, and not supposed to flow with the actual series. And as it's based in the Land of Aaa, consider this a great adventure for Fionna, Cake, and the others.

So with all this in mind, I hope you enjoy what I have to offer here.

For miles around me, all I could hear was the sound of chaos.

Chaos ruled my senses. I couldn't focus on anything else. All around me, people were running and screaming, but I don't remember why. All I remember was the panic written on their faces. A voice called my name, but I couldn't place it. I couldn't hear the sound my name formed. It was so eerie and terrifying all at once. I was paralyzed by something. Fear, pain, shock. I'm not able to fully remember anymore.

Watching everything around me, the destruction robbing me of the life I once had, was a sight worthy of heartbreak.

And that's when the unthinkable happened.

I remember a blinding pain in my neck. Like I had been cut or stabbed. It's all such a blur to me now that I couldn't recall every detail even if I tried. I just know it hurt so much, I fell to the ground grabbing my throat as if to keep myself together. It was the emptiest feeling I had ever known.

Then, suddenly, I heard a voice chime in through the madness. It soothed my fear, and I let go of my neck. For a second, there was nothing, and then the next second, something cold clamped onto my neck and stabbed into it. I cried out, but meekly, as a burning agony tore through me.

When the pain finally stopped, I gasped as something else was latched onto my neck. It was soft but cold as well, and unlike the first thing taking up a small portion, this wrapped completely around.

As everything slipped away from me, I remember hearing a soft expression:

"This'll be over soon. Don't worry."

That was the last thing I could remember before slipping into darkness.

...

Something stiff against my back was the first sensation I felt when I came back to myself.

When my eyes opened, everything was so bright and blinding, even though where I was stayed perfectly shaded and protected from the brightness. I shielded my eyes from the harsh light and struggled to my feet to see what was around me. The second my hand touched the light, searing pain shot through, and it was so unbearable I had to retreat back into the shade of where I woke up. I couldn't understand why the light hurt so bad, but I cried from the burn it gave me.

But it was enough to finally jolt me awake, and I saw what I struggled so badly to remember.

Buildings were in ruins all around me. Fire and debris were everywhere, and there was no sound, no life. It was empty, and the feeling of dread hung over the entire area.

It was as if an entire city had just been wiped out like nothing.

I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Instead, sharp things cut my tongue, making me flinch. I gasped in surprise and covered my mouth. This caused my hand to be stabbed as well, but when I pulled my hand away to look, I noticed two tiny puncture wounds where I could only guess my teeth were.

Reflection, I thought desperately. I need to see my reflection.

Frantically, I searched the entirety of my shaded sanctuary, looking for something reflective, anything like a mirror or even water. Trying not to damage the integrity of the structure, I dug and pulled debris out of my way.

Nothing.

I sighed. I couldn't see what happened to me, and I was digging up more questions than answers.

The only thing I could do was wait until it got dark, then I figured it'd be safe to roam around freely. So I had to bide my time and wait for that point in time, no matter how long it took.
