In A World Of My Own – Chapter 5 – Meeting The Enemy

Saturday 1st May 2021 – (Wonderland Kingdom) – 9:30am – Morning

Everybody was wide awake in worry of what happened yesterday to Sebastian with all the Wonderland sword drama. Queen Quinn was busy at work trying to think of a safe plan to get him back without getting anybody else hurt or at worse killed.

Whiled Dave Hatter was fixing up Kurt's arm where he got hit by the arrow. Kurt himself had not said a word. He felt bad, worried sick to him stomach what might happen to Sebastian and that somehow it might have been his fault. He felt even worse for poor Blaine who had to leave his boyfriend behind to bring him back in the first place.

"How's that feeling?" Dave asked Kurt finishing up his arm.

"Good thanks" Kurt said giving a little smile back to him. "Do you…..Do you think Sebastian will be okay?" he asked nervously.

Dave smiled and took Kurt had gently into his own, making him blush hard "None of what happened is your fault you know. The Red Queen plays dirty, and gets her hunch man Finn to do her work for her. He will be fine; Sebastian is tough he knows how to protect himself"

"Good" Kurt replied

The Hatter gulped hard "By the way…I wanted to ask a question. I know it's really bad timing but I just wanted to know where we stood…because we-" he wanted to carry on but couldn't get the last word out blushing and giggling a little.

"Kissed?" Kurt smiled also blushing.

"Right" Dave smiled.

"I really like you Dave. In fact….I love you. And I would like nothing more than to be your boyfriend. But when I have to go home I don't know how a relationship would work out with you because we both have very different lives" Kurt explained looking down a little sadly.

Dave looked at him back sadly "I understand. While you are here though…..could we be boyfriends? You are unlike anybody else I ever meet. You're brave, kind, strong, handsome, talented, funny…..and I just. I really like you Kurt"

Kurt smiled kissing his head "Of course we can"

Just after that Queen Quinn walked in "Come into the main hall quickly we have to talk, I have a plan"

Kurt and Dave both nodded and took each other hand walking into the hall sitting down at the table.

Poor Blaine looked like he had not slept all night. He stroked Brittany Rabbit ears as she hugged him tightly.

Quinn Queen looked at him sadly "We will get him back Blaine. You have my word"

Blaine smiled nodding. He knew he was never the smartest person in Wonderland and did some rather stupid things at times. But Sebastian; he never once looked at him like that. Blaine feels in love with him from the moment they meet, he had Sebastian's back, and Sebastian had his.

Sebastian made him feel safe, loved and wanted in ways that nobody else could. They did everything together, and without him Blaine was feeling lot.

"So here is the plan" Quinn said "Kurt, Dave, and Brittany. You will all seek into Rachel's castle and give her a fake sword claiming it to be the sword of wonderland. Meanwhile Blaine and Santana you will break Sebastian free from his cell. Once that is all done they you all will leave as fast as possible and come back to wonderland kingdom, understood?"

They all nodded apart from Kurt.

"Wouldn't she know the sword is a fake?" he asked

"No" Quinn smiled "Brittany and Santana have been working on the fake all night, so she will never. It really good and they have it looking like the other one she will never know"

"Perfect" Kurt smiled.

With that Kurt, Dave, Santana, Brittany and Blaine all set off to the Red Queen's castle to get Sebastian. The journey was quiet a long one. It could have been just Kurt's eyes playing tricks on him but he could have sworn that the closer they got to it, the darker the sky got and the colder the weather became.

When the finally arrived Kurt felt a little scared. The Red Queen's castle was covered in red throne bushes and spikes on the castle edges. The guards stood tall at the door, and it just all seemed so bad, commanded to Queen Quinn's nice happy looking kingdom.

"You'll be fine" Dave said giving his hand a small squeeze. "You tougher then you look and I'm not going to let any of those meanies lay so much as a finger on you at all"

Kurt smiled kissing him gently "My hero"

With that they went up to the guards and explained why they were there. They said that only Kurt could go to see her with the sword, and that the others were to wait outside the door.

Dave was not so sure on this but Kurt smiled at him and assured him he would be okay, and they needed to go and free Sebastian.

With that Dave, Santana, Blaine and Brittany all went one way to free Sebastian from his cell, whiled Kurt was guarded by a guard to go and meet the Red Queen.

When Kurt arrived in front of the Red Queen he soon got a good impression of the kind of woman she was. She was dressed in dark red's and black, with a smug look of her face like everything she did was always right. Around the room she had pictures of herself hung on all the walls, and some small chairs that was broken for the guests to sit on.

She walk toward him stopping as she reached where he was stood "So" she smirked "You are meant to be the great hero of Wonderland and yet here you are giving me your weapon. How stupid" she smiled laughing.

"I'm not stupid!" Kurt yelled at her, already not liking her.

She gently lifted his head by his chin "Yes you are" she smirked once one taking the sword out of his hands putting it in the glass cupboard. "Take him away" Rachel smirked "I will deal with him on the battlefield"

With that the guard throw Kurt out quickly on his back. Where Dave picked him up smiling "We have Sebastian, are you okay?" he asked.

Kurt smiled "I'm fine, the Red Queen will not be"

Dave laughed "That the sprit"

With that they all quickly made their way back to the kingdom, where Sebastian thanked everybody smiling and took Blaine out for a late date, promising them he would keep safe.

The others went home leaving Kurt, Dave and Queen Quinn in the kingdom alone. They all sat and had a lovely dinner made by the guards.

"So are you ready to start training tomorrow?" Quinn Queen asked.

Kurt smirked "Super ready. Let's kick her ass"

With that they all laughed and carried on eating. Tomorrow training would begin and for once, Kurt felt ready for it all.
