In A World Of My Own – Chapter 9 – The Fight For Wonderland / The Big Battle

Wednesday 5th May 2021 – (Wonderland Kingdom) – 12pm – Afternoon

Everybody in the kingdom was awake, knowing what today meant for all of the people in Wonderland; Life or Death. All of the training, practicing, hard work and meetings come down to this.

Most importantly to Kurt. Needless to say he was scared. Today was important for everyone, if he screwed up then everybody in Wonderland would be forced to follow the evil queen's rules. His friends and boyfriend would be put in jail or at worst killed. And he could be killed with them.

He had been up training since 6am this morning unable to sleep or think of anything else. The sword of Wonderland in hand and other weapons hinted in his armour.

Dave then came in with a big tray of breakfast smiling also dressed in his armour "For our Wonderland hero" he added handing it over sitting next to Kurt.

Kurt frowned "I wish you wouldn't say that, I have not won yet"

Dave hug him a little "Sorry…I didn't mean to upset you"

Kurt smiled a little hugging him back "You didn't. I'm sorry I'm just scared. I don't want to let you down and I don't want you to get hurt"

Dave smiled tearing up "Kurt, I don't want you to get hurt either, and if I could take your place and fight her myself then I would in a heartbeat"

Kurt smiled "I wouldn't want you to"

Dave smiled again "I know but I would. But I don't have to. I believe in you Kurt, we all do. You can this. It is understandable to be scared and feel like it's hopeless. But you're not alone okay, we all have you're okay out there and we are going to do everything we can to keep you safe okay?"

Kurt smiled "Okay. I believe you"

Dave smiled back once more kissing his head "Good. Now eat"

Kurt started eating staring to feel a little more like he could do this and a little less scared.

MEANWHILE AT THE RED QUEEN CASTLE…

Queen Rachel was ready and dressed in her armour too. Herself and her army had been training for early this morning as well. She felt ready and cocky; she had no worries or fears about losing and she thought to herself there was no way that could ever happen.

She was Queen Rachel! Everybody she knew feared her, was scared of her, even her own hutch man Finn. Whatever Kurt was going to bring today, it was not going to be good enough.

He would die; his friends would be killed or locked up. And it would all be over and done with just like that.

There could be no possible way she could loss this battle. She had everything and everyone she needed.

She smiled evilly looking at Finn "Ready dear?"

Finn smiled back at her with evilness in his eyes "Yes your majesty"

With that the Red Queen's army followed her out of her kingdom ready for the battle making their way to the battle filed.

BACK AT THE WONDERLAND KINGDOM…..

Queen Quinn saw the Queen Rachel's army heading towards the battle filed. She knew it was time. And she hoped Kurt and everybody else was ready.

She rushed into the training hall where most of her army were and told them the news.

Blaine Dum, Sebastian Dee, Santana Cheshire, Brittany Bunny and Sam the White knight all lead up front of white horses with their swords ready; again all dressed in white armoury.

Then the queen rushed up stairs knocking on Kurt's door with a sigh.

Kurt took a deep breath, he knew this was it. As soon as he said come in the news was coming that the battle was about to start, reminded that the fate of Wonderland and everyone in it rested on his shoulders and what choices he would choice to make next.

There was no calling his dad for help. No going back. And no second chances.

"Come in" he said trying to keep calm.

Queen Quinn then entered the room gulping hard "T…There ready"

Kurt smiled "Okay. Let go then"

Dave smiled kissing his head nodding at him.

Then they all made their way back downstairs into the training hall to meet with the others.

Dave helped Kurt up onto his horse and Kurt smiled back at him as he then got on to his own.

Kurt took another deep breath looking at Queen Quinn "May I say something before we go"

She nodded , and he made his way to the front of the hall. "Today is going to be a very hard day" he started "We will have to work to the best of our abilities as a team and alone in order to win this battle and keep the future of Wonderland in Quinn Queen's safe hands. I promise to each and every single one of you in this room, that I will do everything in my power to keep that happening and keep you out of harm and danger. I promise you that I will fight with everything I have to keep you all safe. And finally I want you all to know, that no matters what happens to me toady…It had been a honour to get to know you all. To come to Wonderland. And you all have a place in my heart, now and forever"

For a couple on seconds there was silence and Kurt put his head down. They the room filled with clapping from everybody looking at him with both smiles and tears.

There was no going back now.

He smiled at Queen Quinn once more "On your lead your majesty"

Quinn smiled at him and led him and the white army down to the battle filed ground.

When they arrived, Queen Rachel and her army were already there set up good to go.

Quinn road her horse towards her "It doesn't have to be this way Rachel. If you stop now we can all walk away without anybody getting hurt and work together to make Wonderland a better place"

Rachel laughed evilly at her "With you still as Queen?, I don't think so" with that Rachel took out a dagger and cut Quinn along the side of the face "I rather start a war" she smirked.

With that Queen Quinn raised her right arm, and her army of soldiers and road forward on their horses towards Rachel's army of red soldiers.

Queen Rachel smirked also making a signal to her army, making them also ride forward on their black horses against the white army.

And just like that the battle for wonderland had begun. People were slinging their swords and weapons left, right and centre. People were falling of horses and blood was being spilt on the floor.

Rachel and Kurt fought in the middle with Rachel stabbing Kurt in the shoulder and Kurt stabbing Rachel in the side.

Dave Hatter fought Finn on the side line with his sword, and the rest fought the army.

All of a sudden there way a sound of pain the flooded the battle grounds, someone had just been killed.

Kurt quickly looked around to make sure it was not Dave getting pushed of his horse falling to the floor.

That where he could see it had been Blaine Dum.

Sebastian Dee ran over quickly crying and held him "Blaine!"

Blaine smiled up at him and kissed him deeply one last time "Goodbye my love" he said, before dying in his arms.

Sebastian held him crying for a couple of moments. He knew it couldn't be more than that for Wonderland's sake. He kissed his head quickly laying him down "Goodbye love" he quickly ran back onto the battle grounds cutting the red soldiers head off who killed his Blaine.

Kurt got up quickly to see Dave had been pushed off his horse and was now also on the battle ground floor. Queen Rachel was smirking stood above him with his own sword that she had stolen.

"Any last words for your boyfriend before I kill him too?"

Dave panicked and try his best to move back and grab something to help him live.

And as Quinn Rachel swung the sword to kill him. She was stabbing with a sword coming through her chest and back out again leaving her gasping for a moment and then falling to the floor to her death, with a pool of blood around her.

Dave looked up to see Kurt looking down at her breathing heavily with blood on the sword of Wonderland, he saved his life.

Kurt helped him up smiling. And the small amount of red soldiers and Finn the hutch man dropped her weapons and kneeled in front of Queen Quinn.

Quinn smiled looking up at Kurt "The battle has been won. Wonderland is safe"

Everybody cheered and made their way back to the Wonderland kingdom.

When they arrived back Quinn locked up Finn and the rest of the red queen's army in the kingdom jail cells, meanwhile everybody from the White Queen's army took of their armoury, and got whatever cuts and things they had down to them seen to.

Dave smiled cleaning up Kurt's cut shoulder "I…I never did thank you, you know for saving my life, and the kingdom back there"

Kurt smiled kissing his head "I would never let her kill my boyfriend. My Davey"

Dave smiled even more blushing.

When that was all done they all made their way out to garden area outside the castle were they dressed in black and buried Blaine and other white soldiers that had died, saying their goodbyes and speeches.

Sebastian stayed by Blaine grave a little putting his bowtie on it smiling.

Kurt smiled coming over "He died a hero you know"

Sebastian smiled back "He really did. In the end…he did something smart and proved us all wrong"

They both ended up giggling and going back inside the kingdom, were the Quinn had thrown together a little tea party to celebrate.

Everybody sat around the table smiling as Queen Quinn raised her glass "To Kurt. Our hero of Wonderland"

Kurt smiled raising his glass giggling "No. to Blaine for proving us wrong and dying a true hero"

Everybody then smiled raising their glasses "To Blaine"

And now finally, Wonderland was in safe hands and at peace.
