Back with another chap for Zootropolis. Do you guys want me to put the backstory in the first chapter? Maybe it'll make things a bit better...

Thanks for the reviews! Thanks a lot, Padfoot Starfyre. I feel a lot better now!

I don't own Maid Sama! or any of its characters.

The man gave a curt nod, and seated himself behind the table in a swivel chair.

"I thought I told you not to come back. We had so many great times together, and you decided to betray my trust by sending a rug made from a skunk's butt for my grandma. She loved you like her own child, and you disgraced it. And now you have returned, and I will not spare you."

"Please, Tora. I had never intended to send you that in the first place. Just this once-"

"And who is this girl with you?"

Misaki spoke up, ignoring the pointed glances Usui was sending her.

"I'm a cop, and I'm here to arrest you for kidnapping Mrs. Hirose. Where is she?"

"Hoo, you're working with a cop now, Takkun? Well, let's see..."

Misaki perked up, hoping he would say where her missing person was. Usui, on the other hand, winced, hearing the sarcasm dripping from his voice.

The man's answer was a snarl, that showed off peculiar pointed canines.

"ICE THEM!"

"Daddy! How do I look?"

A familiar, high-pitched voice greeted her, and they turned around to see a short, bubbly woman waltzing into the room, wearing a beautiful wedding gown.

"I can't wait to see Kuuga-kun's expression when he sees me-"

She stopped, staring at the duo who were held by the scruff of their necks, dangling over icy water, sharks swimming below.

"DADDY! I said no icing on my wedding!"

"I know, Sakura. But this one is something daddy should do."

"...Wait a minute! That's the cop that saved my life the other day!...Hi!"

Misaki lifted her hand slightly in a short wave, and said, "That's a lovely dress."

"Oh! Thank you!"

"Wait, this girl saved you?"

"Yes, daddy! From that giant cart!...Is your hip alright now?"

"Oh, yes, its fine."

"Put them down. Miss cop, you've done us a big help. I shall help you find this woman, in return."

"Thank you so much, Mr. Big."

And Usui watched, an exasperated look on his face, as the Mr. Big bowed and held her hand, and kissed the back of it.

The wedding was rather large-scale, with at least a hundred or two guests scattered across the wide expanse of the magnificent hall. Only the best for the best...

Misaki sat down at a table, where Usui, Mr. Big and two bodyguards were seated.

Mr. Big looked at his daughter dancing with her newlywed husband on the ballroom floor, and sighed deeply, before narrating his tale.

"Mrs. Hirose is a good friend of mine. I had invited her for dinner, and to also tell her about my dear daughter's wedding. But she never came...the driver wouldn't talk about it. All we know is that when she came back, she had lost one eye, and almost lost her sanity, as well."

Misaki leaned forward, mind struggling to digest the implications of this. Mrs. Hirose attacked the driver...? She glanced at Usui; and he was looking back at her, his face mirroring her dumbfounded expression.

"If you want to know more, you'll have to talk to the driver. She lives in a secluded area, in the midst of the rainforest district."

Misaki turned the torch of her phone back on, and turned back to see Usui popping blueberries in his mouth, one after the other.

"How many of those did you take...?"

"Well, I might have taken a few...?"

"A few, or the whole bowl?"

"Uh, watch where you're going sweetie."

She stepped back, and realized she was just a few steps away from walking off a cliff, almost perfectly disguised by a dense cover of vines, dripping with dew.

Looking back, she quickly said 'thanks', and turned back, avoiding his eyes. She didn't want him to know how grateful she was to him.

Pushing back a few vines, she saw a bridge hanging across the cliff, and squinted, trying to make out the other side. Nope. She jogged forward, followed by a bored Usui, who was walking leisurely behind her, hands in his pockets.

"What's the hurry, sweetheart?"

"Shut up. Oh, look!"

They had reached their side of the bridge, which was slippery with the water dripping down from the trees overhead. Next to it was a signboard that had been stuck into the squishy mud. It read 'Tujunga Vine'.

They crossed the bridge mostly in silence, the rain dripping down from branches the only noise accompanying them. A small cottage swam into view, and again Misaki found herself pushing away slippery vines to ring the wet doorbell. It chimed through the house, and echoed, the deep sound resounding through the forest.

The door creaked ajar, and a woman with long blonde hair tied back into a ponytail peeked through the slight gap the door allowed, a chain locked across.

The woman looked rather frightened, so Misaki spoke softly and slowly, hoping she wouldn't scare the woman off completely.

"Hi. I'm Officer Misaki Ayuzawa, and I just wanted to ask about Mrs. Hirose, the woman you drove to Tundratown the other day. Do you mind if we talked to you for a bit?"

The woman pulled the door back slightly, the gap widening enough to show an ugly scar across one eye. Then, with the same frightened expression, she nodded, and closed the door to unlock it.

Misaki looked back at Usui, who looked impressed that she was able to confront the scared woman so easily. Giving him a winning smile, the smile soon dropped off her face as she jerked and turned back quickly when a scream pierced through the dense foggy air around them.

"...Um, are you...OK?"

No answer.

Usui shrugged at her, steeping forward to slowly push the door open; the woman had fortunately unlocked it before she had let out that awful scream.

Or unfortunately. They both stopped short; because, in front of them stood the same woman; but instead of her previously scared expression, she wore an ugly snarl; and her hand held a knife, the long blade glinting wickedly in the dark.

Hoo, scary. Hope you liked the chapter.

Please review, guys!
