She chuckled at the sight. It still amused her to see Olympia settled in bed for some reason. Diantha suspected it was related to the fact when not utterly exhausted, the Gym Leader really channeled her inner Meowstic.

Down to purring when scritched or petted. She gently dragged her fingertips down the other woman's scalp, grin widening at the ripple that seemed to go through the entire body beside her own.

Olympia peeled her eyes open, looking at her over the pillow. "Are you going soft on me?"

"What makes you think that?"

"I can move." The Psychic lifted her head a touch, leaning into the touch.

"That happened once!" The younger woman poked her firmly now, to a very un-Olympia-like squeak. "Literally only once, and I was proverbially drunk when it happened. That does not even count."

"Tell that to my past self when I had to keep my students from noticing I floated far more than usual." Olympia rolled over, crossing her arms over the blanket.

"I hardly ever saw you stand on solid ground, Olympia." The Champion slipped from the bed, padding over to the small alcove where there were tea-making utensils. "Some people joked that the first time they saw you move on good old earth is that time we ran to stop the Giant Rock. It's certainly the first time I saw you run."

"I regularly move on sold ground." With a flex of her finger, the finished cup of tea floated through the room, settling in Olympia's hands. "Certainly in buildings. The times I floated for locomotion inside can be counted on one hand."

"You just teleport." Diantha returned, her own cup held elegantly in one hand. The steam rose slowly, colouring rainbow in the sliver of light that entered the room through a gap in the curtains. "Do you even know how doors work?"

"I can show you?" The older woman quirked a small smile, leaning forward a touch. "Though you ought to hope I give you enough time to dress."

"Oh, I could certainly get it twisted into such a way that you are most assuredly the bad guy of that incident."

"Do forgive me, my child, but I distinctly recall having to imprison you." Lady Gojika looked at her youngest child, purple eyes seemingly piercing through every defense the other could ever hope to erect against her.

"I would not call it 'imprison', mother." Olympia looked out of the large window of her mother's office. "It lasted... what... five minutes?"

"I did not need to do any of the like with any of your siblings." The grey-haired woman pointed out, putting aside the quill she had been writing with. Despite having retired from their family-business a good while ago, she still kept the ledgers, claiming it kept her young. "Of which you have several."

"Their situations were significantly different from mine." The Anistar Gym Leader muttered, turning to look at the elder Psychic. "Besides, this is far better than that mess of Dolon two decades ago."

"Dolon is a mess." Said man's mother fondly reminded her second daughter. "I still do not know how she managed to tame him into something manageable, and I have just as many visions as you do."

"I suspect some kind of Legendary involvement." Olympia considered the memory of her sister-in-law fondly, leaning against the windowsill. "That's the only explanation that makes sense."

"Probably. There's enough Legendaries coming out of the woodwork these days."

"Mmhmmm... That Ash-boy is certainly worth keeping an eye on." The younger woman frowned a bit. "I told him mostly about that Frogadier of his, but he had... so much weight to him himself... I can see why he keeps getting involved with matters."
