Karkat was still attempting to process the fact that the troll before him was believed to be his long dead moirail. This was, at the very least, enough to throw him in a small state of shock. He had mourned over this troll for three entire sweeps and not even a week after the anniversary of his assumed death was he here. Standing tall before him, a cool compress of that large hand gripping his raw skin. What was he supposed to do? How was he meant to process this new revelation? But like most things in his life he wouldn't have the time or the luxury of doing such. Sollux bounded around the corner huffing and with sparks already at the ready. Gamzee didn't seem to take too kindly to this either as he already had his club in hand.

The weapon alone was something that would send panic throughout most trolls that had been told stories of the merciless group of purples known to rule over landwellers. The last troll with anything resembling that spiked club started the night terrors in almost every single troll that lived today. So to Say sollux was on edge was an understatement. Karkat was too when he first saw this mountain of a troll. It was hard to equate this to the lanky clown of the past. But it was him, his features were still there, his paint was almost the same. This was Gamzee Makara, his moirial and the one that just now saved his life.

"Sollux don't!" Karkat finally came to his senses as he yelled out for the yellow blood. Gamzee's ears twitched to the name and he looked a bit surprised for a moment. That glare had softened into a small bout of confusion as his eyes trailed over Sollux's features. He gently placed the weapon back on a holster at his side and gave a large grin that showed off massive sharp teeth. No matter how friendly he tried to seem he came off as predatory by the very look of him. It wasn't entirely Gamzee's fault, but the quick default to a weapon sure as hell helped no one in this situation.

"Solbro? Really??" Gamzee asked this in pure excitement. Even Sollux was still alive? That was amazing! He knew that very powerful psionics were normally rounded up by the empire. So it was a little bit of a shock to see Sollux had evaded such a fate. It was nice to see, a bit hopeful for the fate of his other old pals. Sollux on the other hand was not that happy to see some giant purple blood claiming to be Gamzee. Gamzee was dead as far as he was concerned. He had been dead for a really long time. The sparks had slowly faded, though he still seemed defensive and his eyes would glance to the hand holding Karkat close. He felt like he was more in a hostage situation than meeting an old friend. Sollux had to calculate his next move well, he may have Karkat convinced but Sollux wasn't so gullible. He didn't speak back against it or even greet the purple blood. He simply wrinkled his nose and kept his arms tight over his chest. A sigh pushed past his nose as he finally decided to speak.

"KK, are you hurt?" He didn't even address Gamzee, simply moving past that all together. He could tell something was wrong by the way that the massive troll was holding only his wrist. It looked damn suspicious. Karkat seemed to be comfortable enough to pull back from his old moirail and rub at his now broken wrist. He couldn't even try to move it as his hand hung loosely at the end of his arm. Of course this could be drawn to the conclusion that Gamzee had snapped it since Sollux was not there for the blue blood attack.

"Yeah… some jackass blue bloods decided to act like they were hot shit." Karkat grumbled as he rubbed the bright red raw skin. He didn't like having it out in the open like this, even if both trolls knew damn well what he was. It still wasn't safe from prying eyes, he shuffled around in his pockets to find something to wrap around said wound. He couldn't go out in the crowds like this.

"Shit, I got you brother." Gamzee said as he shuffled around his own pockets and grabbed something akin to a wrag from his pockets. He wasn't sure why the clown had it but honestly it had never been wise to question him. It will never lead to an answer. Karkat winced as he tied the wrag over his wrist, just enough to hide the raw skin. So far the clown had proved himself to have no malice towards these trolls. But there was still an unsure and awkward air around the group. "I know it has been a long time since we talked… But I really wanna sit down and at least have a chat. It ain't motherfucking right that I just up and left on you like that, so I wanna explain myself." Gamzee finally spoke up, rubbing the back of his neck and not looking directly at the two lower blooded trolls. This finally tipped Sollux over the edge, he wanted to go and talk with Karkat somewhere? Hell no!

"KK can I talk to you for a moment, over here?" Sollux didn't even wait for a response as he was dragging away his friend from this monster. This troll was not to be trusted, at all. He walked from out of the alley with him, turning and hissing low so the Makara couldn't hear. "We are NOT Bringing that giant walking deception back to the hive!"

"And why the fuck not?! This is the first time in sweeps I get to see my moirail and you don't want him to come back with us??" Karkat was instantly defensive, he needed this closure. Even if this was not going to lead to anything more than a goodbye. At the very least he would have that.

"Becau-th there i-th no way in hell that i-th GZ." Sollux spoke up sternly now, he stood even taller as his eyes narrowed on the troll before him. "What are we even going to do with the other troll-th in the hive? They'll have a heart attack if they th-ee him."

"Then We'll go through the back to my room. Look, just let me have this Sollux. I need to know what the hell happened. I need to know what I did wrong." Karkat finally admitted, desperation evident in his eyes and face. It broke Sollux, he had watched Karkat through all these sweeps. He had watched the pain and how long it took coming to terms with this. Even if this troll wasn't Gamzee he hadn't attacked him yet. Even after seeing Karkat was a mutant and had even protected the smaller. It may be just a ploy, however, to get him alone.

"Fine, fine… But I'm th-taying in the room with you. At lea-th-t to make th-ure you're alright." Sollux didn't like this, but he could make sure Karkat was at the very least safe if anything did happen.
