Chapter 11

Olivia woke up laying on her back with a leg around her legs, an arm around her waist, and a head on her boobs. She remembered moving Amanda on her pillow, so she didn't know when or how they got into that position. She thought moving her would wake her up, but nope. Olivia stood up and Amanda was sound asleep. She showered, got dressed, and went to enjoy some coffee while reading her mail.

She sent a group text, "Brunch at 10:00 ladies and Amanda is with me. Be on your best behavior." Olivia told them about Amanda. They had similar questions just like Fin. It made sense, her friends were her family. They looked out for her and were protective. She saw Alex's text first, "Yes Sergeant ;)." She didn't even put her phone down, before Melinda chimed in, "I can't wait to meet the youngin that swept my BFF off her feet. Anyone is better than that fucker Ed Tucker!!!" Olivia rolled her eyes just as Alex commented again, "Or that bitch Jo Marlowe."

Olivia laughed at her friend's chatter. "What's so funny Liv?" Olivia turned to see Amanda standing there in her pjs. Her shirt said "Will wake for waffles" and her pants had waffles all over them. "My friends are meeting us at 10:00 for brunch. They can't wait to meet you." Amanda looked worried, "Amanda they will love you so don't worry." She sat on Olivia's lap and looked at her coffee. "You want a sip?" Amanda smelled it and sipped it. "Yuck Liv. It needs sugar." She laughed, "It has cream." Amanda got up, "Not enough. I'm going to shower."

Amanda came back looking so cute. She was wearing a blue sweater that matched her blue eyes, navy khaki pants, and black space jam Jordan's. "You look cute. Nice shoes." Amanda looked down and smiled, "Jordan's are my favorite sneakers, but they cost too much. So these are my only ones." Olivia asked, "Are you nervous?" Amanda shook her head.

Olivia walked over to her, "Well, I told you not to worry. Would a kiss help?" Amanda's eyes lit up, "Yes!" Olivia cupped the sides of her face and she pulled her into a kiss. Amanda felt Liv's fingers in her hair. Before Amanda could react she was up against the wall and Olivia was kissing her hard. Olivia slipped her tongue in Amanda's mouth and their tongues began a dance. Olivia sucked on her top lip, then her bottom lip. Before she pulled away completely she took her bottom lip in her teeth, then gave it a final sweet kiss. "There, does that make you feel better?"

Amanda rubbed her lips all the way to brunch. She was snapped from her daydream when she heard, "Liv over here!" Amanda saw that her best friends were the girls in the picture. The tall blonde wore black rimmed glasses, "Hi Amanda!" She pulled Amanda into a tight hug. "I'm Alex. It's nice to meet you." Amanda smiled, and when she turned around, she recognized the pretty African American from the picture. She got another hug, "Hi sweetheart! I'm Melinda. Come on sit." Amanda sat saying, "It's nice to meet both of you."

Amanda was quiet while the group talked. Everyone ordered their favorites. Amanda heard " I'll have the smoked salmon and egg baguette." Olivia looked at Amanda's face. "I'll have the brunch quiche." Melinda went last, "I'll have avocado toast, eggs, and a side of fruit." The waitress finally got to Amanda. "Oh I'm last huh?" Amanda wanted the chicken and waffles, but everyone else ordered fancy food. Liv rubbed her hand on her knee to calm her down, "Baby, how about chicken and waffles or blueberry pancakes with bacon?" Amanda smiled, "Chicken and waffles please!"

Melinda leaned forward, "Amanda, good choice. Do you share food, because I've been dying to try them and someone we all know and love wouldn't dare share her plate." Amanda giggled, "I share, because it's a nice thing to do." Alex clapped, "I like you a lot already." Olivia rolled her eyes, "Oh so I see how it is now. I shared my coffee this morning." Amanda smiled, "How did y'all meet? In college or something?" Melinda answered, we actually all met when Olivia joined SVU. She was a hotshot just making detective. Alex was the same, fresh in the ADA office. I'm a little older, so I was a few years ahead of them in the medical examiner's office."

Amanda was impressed, "Wow, my new friends are a doctor, lawyer, and Sergeant." They all laughed. "Oh sorry I didn't mean like friends." Melinda grabbed her hand, "We aren't laughing at that. It's hard to believe this group actually became all of that. We were all troublemakers." Alex winked at her, "We're glad to have a new friend in our circle.

They sat eating and sharing their stories about growing up. She knew Liv's story, Alex always had money, but her parents never cared what she did. She was shocked to learn that she skipped school and partied harder than Amanda ever did. Melinda grew up poor with only her grandparents taking care of her and they died when she was 16.

They finished brunch and told Amanda they would see her at family dinner on Wednesday. "Ok, I'll bring my best friend Kim." Melinda winked, "Will Fin be there Liv?" Olivia rolled her eyes, "Of course. Why don't you make a play and stop being scared." Amanda and Olivia went back to her place. Olivia grabbed Amanda by the waist, "See, that wasn't bad at all. You worry too much."

They hung out, Amanda studied and Olivia read files. "I wish I could stay with you." Olivia smiled, "Well, we have dinner every Wednesday and I told you anytime you want to see me, come on over." Amanda bit her lip, "Can I stay every weekend?" Olivia shook her head and reached in her bag. "Here." She handed Amanda a key. "You can come anytime you want and yes every weekend, even if I'm working." Amanda held the key, "You trust me?" Amanda looked into her eyes, "I do. Come on, let's get you to the dorm."

On the drive back, Olivia asked about the holidays. "Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up. Do you have plans?" Amanda shook her head no, "Kim is going with Nick to stay with his parents for Thanksgiving. For Christmas I usually stay with Kim, but her parents really don't like me." Olivia frowned, not understanding why they didn't like her. "What's their deal, did you do something?" Amanda didn't do anything, they just wanted Kim to be friends with the same social group. "I don't exactly fit into their social group. Kim has been my friend since elementary school. She doesn't care what they think."

Amanda continued, "I don't know what I'm gonna do about Christmas Break. We have to be out of the dorm the whole month and a half." Olivia pulled up to her dorm. "What do you mean? You're going to come and stay with me for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. When do you have to be back?

Amanda smiled, "Mid January. Guess I better go. Don't kiss me." Olivia was stunned, "I want you to kiss me Liv, I really do, but if you do. You'll find me at your place tonight." Olivia warned her, "I don't want you running around the city at night. If you want to come over after dark, call me."
