Hi guys! How are you doing?
So here I am again with a new story. Actually, me and JAYJAYJAY555's story! It's a pleasure to write a story with someone so talented like her (I would be glad if I had 1% of her creativity) and I hope you like it.
So what about starting a new adventure? Yes? So what are we waiting for?
It was just a quick visit to his bank in the middle of his lunch time in the office on a Friday but, as luck never was his friend, he saw himself in the middle of a robber.
They took every value object he had - cellphone, watch, wallet - in a pacific way to not get shot. It was the last thing he needed for today. He had already woke up late as he forget to turn on his alarm clock, even that probably would be impossible to even charge his battery as the lights go off in his neighborhood meaning no internet neither light for a whole day, he missed the bus to a fallen in the snow and his boss screamed with him for getting late, dirty and smelling awful. And now there he was, leaning against a wall, knee on his chest, arms on his knees as the three robbers continued to pick value things of the 23 others hostages while two of them were in nowhere on his vision with the manager on the safe box to catch all money.
He didn't want to die; he was just 30 years old and still wanted to have courage to face his family and tell them the truth: he is gay. Maybe his mother would pass out, the other women would scream for help or curse him to the rest of his unborn but wanted children's lives and the men would try to beat the shit out of him and kill him like his father as how much his family is conservative about homosexuality.
They would hate him but this conversation will free him to be himself and finally find someone. He knew that, out there, have someone waiting for him to call lover, be at home at night to make that thing and perhaps adopt a kid and be the family of his dreams. But first of all, he needs to get out of this hostage situation and live. A soft but authority voice was what took him away from his thoughts and, in a door on the left side of the bank, a man was there.
"My name is Detective Jay Halstead. I'm from the 21 district of CPD. Intelligence Unit. I don't have any gun with me. I just want to talk to you and get everyone out of here alive." He was aware that one of the robbers was saying something but he couldn't take his eyes out of the detective.
He is tall but not taller than him, wears black boots just like a soldier, tight blue jeans and grey shirt allowing the muscles of his legs and arms to appear really defined as well as his abdomen. A cut brown hair, red lips and green eyes. The type of eyes someone could lose but find himself in the same time. He had found. The cop who will save him from this mess. The man who will save him from his lonely sad world and bring company happiness to it. The man who will be at home at night to make that thing. The man who will be his lover. The man who will be adopting a kid with him and making his dream family come true. He had found someone.
"Look, I have snipers and the SWAT out there waiting to enter and kill you all but I really think this isn't necessary so let the hostages go. I can stay here with you to stop them from entering."
"No way!" He was so lost in his beautiful - and exotics - dreams about him and the detective he didn't realize one of the robbers lifting him from the ground and put a knife on his throat. "They are staying here and the police out there or I'll slit his throat!"
All the robbers were in the principal room pointing the guns to the detective but he was so calm. They made eye contact for a few seconds and reaffirmed him getting out of there alive and murmured a 'get down when I say NOW'. What? He just nodded even though he clearly didn't understand anything. Ok the man was perfect but a little strange.
"NOW" shots started flying and he threw himself on the floor. In a blink of an eye, all the robbers were dead and he was face to face with the cop. "Hey are you ok?" Gosh, he is more handsome from close.
"Yes, I guess."
"You did good. It's ok to be scared. Let's go to the ambulance to confirm you are ok. I take you there." A soft voice and comfort smile; perfect to be his boyfriend and dad of their own children. He followed the detective to the ambulance and as he suspected, he was fine. "Josh Delacroix? I think this is your thing, isn't it?" His wallet, phone and watch, all there and intact.
"Yes. Hum…thanks for saving me today."
"Just doing my job. Gladly you are fine. Have a good day and keep safe." Offering a big beautiful gentle smile and his hand to shake, he turned around and went away. He didn't want to wash his hands for the rest of his life as the soft touch of his idol was still in his skin. This touch wasn't enough. He needed more. More touches. More talks. More smiles. He needed to own Detective Jay Halstead.
1 year and a half later
He had the fuck conversation. He had said to his family two weeks after been held hostage in that bank he was as a assumed gay man. What was the reaction? As he suspected: his mother passed out, the woman started to scream for help or curse him from uncountable bad words and the man started to beat the shit out of him but he managed to escape from the worse and never saw them again.
How was he about it? Probably everyone would expect him to be sad, more lonely than ever as now he can't count on his blood family and freaking out. But, as always, we have the expectation and the reality. And the reality was he had never been so happy in his entire existence as Josh Delacroix. He had told everything he hated about his arrogant boss and quit the job. He didn't had his family to give satisfaction to him not dating any girl as the walked out now he confess he's gay. He changed to another house and started his own company of pictures. In his free time, bored was something unknown to him as he started his new hobby.
After the hostage situation, he couldn't stop thinking and following his hero. He would be everywhere; in his district, in the gym, in his apartment or in a bar called Molly's, the location doesn't matter, he needs to see him and take pictures. His basement was full of them: he in cases with his team, he alone in his car coming home at night or going working in the morning, running in the park, in the gym, in that bar that everyone from his team and firefighters and doctors go to celebrate a hard work day, hanging out with some friends. He's been following him for one and a half year now and every time, or back in his house or in the car, he gets hard - and sometimes jerks out - seeing his savior. His necessity of seeing him is really good but not enough. But had a special condition for all this: Jay needs to be alone. Not with someone who appears to be his boyfriend like the redhead is, gently punching each other, making each other laugh from something really stupid, sharing tight hugs. He wants to do that to him. He certainly would do more and better. He can't betray him. He belongs to him after all, just he doesn't know. Soon he will be owned by him. He needs a plan for it and he already has as a psycho smile appears on his face.
"I think I will have to clean my house for visitors! This is going to be good. Soon we will be alone, my lover rescue hero."
"Go Chicago!" It was the night of the NHL game. Chicago Blackhawks x St Louis Blues. 4 x 0. Unhappiness for St Louis fans but happiness to Chicago fans, especially for a fanatic like Jay Halstead.
"Jay, calm down. It's just a game!"
"It isn't just a game, Will. I have been waiting this whole week to be at Molly's for this game and we are winning against our biggest rival!"
"Okay, I get it but what's the necessity of screaming?!"
"Game over! We won! We won!"
"Oh finally! Best news ever! Can we go home now?"
"Why?"
"Because I just had a 24 hours shift so I'm tired."
"Ok, grouchy, we can go." Paying the bill, he follows his brother to their car but not before receiving a sweet punch on his arms from his brother. Of course it didn't hurt but an attribution of a good younger brother is to be dramatic. And he did it very well! "Why do you punch me so hard?" His face turning to a puppy sad face.
"Don't ever call me grouchy again. And don't be dramatic neither do this puppy's sad face, I know it didn't hurt." He turned his eyes and started to walk but he was pushed by him. "You know you look like a kid doing this?"
"You started."
"Kid" and this happened for the rest of their walk through their car: punching and pushing each other just like two kids.
They can be Doctor William Halstead, one of the best doctors in the Emergency of Gaffney Hospital, And Detective Jay Halstead, former Ranger and one of the best cops in the elite unit of CPD, but when they are together, they are just brothers. They fight for each other, argue, fool, make each other freak out (especially Will freaking out about Jay and his unique ability of getting hurt in any situation), are stubborn as hell but if anyone talks bad or hurts the other, the other protects. A real brother relationship.
"Jay, can you drive? Please I'm really tired."
"Of course I'm driving, it's my car. You drive like a old woman on how slowly"
"I don't drive slowly. I drive paying attention and carefully. The opposite of you"
"I drive carefully. But fast at the same time. I own the streets, baby!" Jay laughs as he enters the car with Will rolling his eyes to the joke, he starts and heads to their apartment but not before realizing a suspicious black car with a silhouette of a man looking at his direction. He thinks he had seen this car before. 'Stop being so paranoid. It 's just a black car with a man inside.'
Arriving at the home 20 minutes later, Will managed to make his way through the stairs in his almost sleep state and open the door.
"Go to bed. I will lock the door, take a bath and sleep then."
"It 's 23:30. Do you want to take a bath now?"
"Yes. What's the problem?"
"Nothing, full of energy"
"I will take this as a compliment."
"Good night. Love you."
"Good night. Love you too." Will disappeared in the corridor directing to his bedroom and, after checking if the door is locked, he makes his way to the bathroom.
Living again with his brother is amazing. It's like returning to their childhood but without their caring mother and drunk father. And they both need it. He was a mess when Erin left him and Chicago behind exactly two years ago. Of course he misses her sometimes but not much as and neither in the same way as before; right now it's just like a great cop and partner he had the pleasure to work with but not as his girlfriend. Their dating was awesome with all the ups and downs but he thinks they weren't made for each other. They were the right person at the wrong time. Not mature enough maybe to plan their whole life together. He doesn't know the exact reason but, honestly, he doesn't want to find out too. He had moved on after accidentally killing a black child in that school, his involvement with Luis and then Camilla, a situation which almost made Voight firing him if this wasn't for his pressure to go to a therapist, Hailey and Will helping him through this all and he was finally happy again. He will always be grateful to them. And he knows Erin is happy wherever she is, probably had found someone to her better than him and this is what matters. He would find someone to him too.
These were his thoughts while taking a shower but a strange sound came from the living room. Probably Will went to confirm if the door was locked and fell down in the way, making his mind imagine the situation brings a smile on his face. Finishing his bath, he put on comfortable pants and T-shirt to sleep and headed to his brother's bedroom to confirm if everything was fine. The door was closed, so in a slow movement to not wake him, he opened to see the bed empty. Before he could turn around to go search his brother, something hot was injected in his neck. A needle. Shit. Someone was there. Where's his brother? He fell to the ground as the effects of wherever was in that needle started to work on him and a silhouette of a man was above him in seconds.
"Hey Jay, I will take you to a better place. You are going to like it." The darkness consumed him before his last thought came out 'Where's my brother?'
And this is the first chapter. Tell us what your opinion is on it and your supposition too. What do you think will happen to Jay? And where's Will? Soon this answer will be answered! :)
