Chapter 4: Shopping at Monroeville Mall

The next day, I met up with some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, Max Greenwald, and Carly Shay, as well as Carly's stepdad, Freddie and old friend, Spencer at Monroeville Mall for a shopping trip. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Alex greeted back. We also did 2 different versions of Childhood Chat on the ways to and from the mall. While jamming out to NSYNC on the way, we found out about Nicole Ellis playing a new video game in 4th grade in downtown Pittsburgh, Hannah Mifflin taking a dare in kindergarten in East Liberty, Sarah Ching having a rock star theme in 5th grade in the North Side, Emma Wallace taking a selfie in 9th grade in Oakland, Madison Dayley watching a funny movie in 5th grade in Shadyside, and Brooke Leesaw selling lemonade her sophomore year at Pitt in the South Side. "Did you guys have a favorite client?" I asked my friends. "Yes, we liked interviewing Madison about the funny movie," Carly stated. "From what we have learned, it seems like Madison is really into film and acting," Spencer pointed out. "Weren't you interested in that stuff at one point in your life, Carly?" Mr. Benson asked. "Yes, I was, Freddie," Carly stated. "I was interested in film and acting for a brief time during the fall of my 8th grade year." "As we all know, Madison will be throwing a Hollywood Glitz and Glam Sleepover this year in August," I told everyone. Stores that Carly, Alex, and I went to at Monroeville Mall included H&M, Claire's, and Go! Toys and Games with the boys. Then, we ate dinner at the food court. While I opted for Chinese food, Carly and her friends opted for the Flamer's Grill, and Alex and her friends opted for Subway. "On the bright side, we are getting our shopping trip out of the way early since it is so crummy outside today," Alex told us. "Whatever happened to beautiful spring weather like we had my junior year of high school?" "As far as I can remember, that was a beautiful spring," Justin pointed out. "Hopefully, the weather will be a lot better tomorrow," Max stated. "It should be," I told my friends. "Hopefully, we can go to Kennywood tomorrow if you guys are all up to it." "We'll see, Angel," Alex told me. While jamming out to 98 Degrees on the way home, we found out about Kaitlyn and Colleen Marioni taking a dare in kindergarten in Westmoreland County, Natalie Bay eating waffles for breakfast in 8th grade in the western suburbs, Rachel Luster having a cooking theme in preschool in Hampton Township, Taylor Paulson taking a selfie in 10th grade in Ross Township, Lauren Bennett sporting her new slippers in 3rd grade in McCandless, Emily Grey selling lemonade in 4th grade in the southern suburbs, and finally, Jennifer Preager pulling pranks just that day in the northern suburbs at her Shady Side Academy senior prom. All of this took place on the Sunday of the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Once we arrived home, it was time for all of us to go to bed. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Alex replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
