Chapter 7: Miniature Golf at Par2Golf

The next day, I met up with some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, Max Greenwald, Carly Shay, and Spencer Puckett, as well as Carly's stepdad, Freddie Benson, for mini golf at Par2Golf in Monroeville. First, we ate breakfast at Eat n' Park in Monroeville. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Alex greeted back. "Little did I know that this would be our first planned outing of the summer," Carly stated. "I was having so much fun with this boy band stuff that I didn't even care about when the pandemic was going to end." "I was wondering if my old friend, Valerie loved the music of NSYNC," Mr. Benson pointed out. "I am not sure about that," Spencer disagreed. "But, all I know was that they are such a great and talented group!" "Can you also imagine your dance anthem coming out a full decade later?" I asked my other best friends. "What are you talking about?" Max asked me. "Since 98 Degrees' album Revelation came out in the late summer and early fall of 2000, I just thought that it would be neat if the album came out 10 years later around the same time frame," I explained. "Oh, okay," Justin agreed. "We all get it now!" "I have always loved the summer of 2010, as it was just one year away from high school graduation," Alex pointed out. "I don't remember doing any mini golf courses that summer, but I remember doing other fun activities with you, like going swimming." "It's funny how when we go to Kennywood Park together every week, when we walk around the park or wait in line, it is almost like the cadence that is playing, and then when we get on the ride, it is almost like the roll-off, and then while we are riding, the song plays," I stated. "I remember we talked all about this at last month's discussion group." After our games of mini golf were complete, we ordered ice cream for dessert. Then, Alex drove me back to my mentor, Jenna's apartment in Point Breeze. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Alex replied. "Bye, guys!" "Bye!"
