Chapter 8: Sunday Fun-Day
The next day, Sarah, James, Henri, and I met up with some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, Max Greenwald, Carly Shay, and Spencer Puckett, along with Carly's stepdad, Freddie Benson at the Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties in Monroeville for a meeting and then a Sunday Fun-Day afterward. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. Once our meeting was over, we began with spa treatments. "I didn't even know that we were going to do manicures and pedicures today," I admitted. "Well, I definitely need one," Sarah admitted. "And so do I," Carly agreed. "You guys wear the exact same shade of nail polish on your toenails," I pointed out. "I could really go for a facial," Spencer admitted. "James told me everything about them!" "I remember getting my first facial at a spa in Natrona Heights," Freddie pointed out. "I got my first manicure and pedicure at the same place," Carly added. "NSYNC is not exactly spa music, but it is considered to be my favorite music in the whole wide world, and that's what matters the most!" Then, we played some of our favorite water games outside, including Narrow Necks, Water Balloon Volleyball, Water Limbo, and Watch Out for the Snake. "It obviously feels nice to play water games today because it is like a steady 98 Degrees outside today," Alex joked. "Ugh," Sarah groaned. "I'm just kidding," Alex stated. "But, I remember starting during the spring of my junior year of high school when the weather began to get unseasonably hot, water games were my go-to game!" "It was fun to play Water Limbo to 'Una Noche'," Justin pointed out. "I have never played Narrow Necks before, but then I began to like it once I tried it," Max admitted. "We first went to Sandcastle and heard 98 Degrees prior to then," I explained to my friends. "Just like with Kennywood, as we walk around Sandcastle and wait in line for the rides, it sounds like the cadence, and then when we get on the ride, it sounds like the roll-off, and as we ride the ride, it sounds like the song itself," Alex explained to all of us once again. All of the fun was making us hungry, so we went inside to get dinner. There were snacks like fruit and veggie platters, popcorn, trail mix, sparkling punch, and even a chocolate fondue. For dinner, we ate foods like pizza, salad, taco pies, burgers, and chicken nachos, and there were also desserts like fruit compote, s'mores, chocolate chip cookies, and turtles. "I remember that just yesterday, we were talking about Sarah's old boyfriend, Benedict being an alcoholic and what a bad habit it is to drink too much beer," I stated. "Trust me, Angel," Sarah told me. "I would not want to be like Benedict at all!" "Even if I didn't get to make the s'more cake today, I still got to eat real s'mores," James pointed out. "And Henri still got to eat real pizza!" "Actually, I chose nachos for dinner, James," Henri reminded his brother. "Alex brought in the fruits and veggies, I assume," Sarah stated. "So, tell me more about the documentary that you watched here yesterday, Sarah," Alex stated. "It was a very good documentary," Sarah replied. "Some of the music was simliar to the songs we listen to from Santana every week!" After dinner, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
