I don't own Zelda or Inuyasha
Story
Kagome
I'm hearing the voice again. It's getting louder and louder. Calling my name. Begging me. 'Come find me.'
And here I am, standing in front of the God Tree in the middle of the night, following some unknown voice. "I'm going crazy," I must be. But I couldn't ignore it anymore.
I sighed deeply, rubbing small circles over my eyes as a headache began forming. A shadow passed overhead and I glanced up. The pale figure of a soul-eater carrying it's harvest to its master. Kikyo. Since she has returned, I've felt useless. Not needed. I don't blame them, they had to find the shards. But some part of me wished they didn't find her. A very small part of me believed they simply stopped looking for me, even though I know that wasn't true.
'I'm here.'
The voice was louder. A ringing tone among the stillness of the moonlight.
'I'm here.'
Scared. Alone.
'Please.'
Slowly, I walked around the tree.
'Find me.'
My body pulsed with power, glowing pink. There, among the mangled roots was a rusted sword stabbed into the rough bark. For a second the sword glowed as I reached for the chipped and warped hilt. Once my fingers wrapped around the old weapon, the ringing stopped, and everything became silent. Both my power and the sword glowed stronger, almost vibrating from the strength.
'Free me.'
I tugged, and with no resistance the blade pulled away from the gnarled root. A powerful thump slammed into my body, and my vision spun. Another and another. My world was spinning, spinning, spinning.
The blade was freed, and I stood in a daze. I was no longer in the forest, but inside a marbled temple.
