Later that night, the elderly turtle Shelby also known as Uncle Shelby sits at the side of Kissyfur on his bed reading a bedtime story of Pinocchio "'If you are very very good and promise to tell no lie, then you will become a real live boy.' said the talking cricket. And they lived happily ever after." Shelby finished the book and Kissyfur said "That's not how the story ends." "Sorry, Kissyfur." said Uncle Shelby as he sets the book next to Chucky. "Uncle Shelby is getting tired. I promise that I will finish the story tomorrow." Shelby slowly walks to the door and then the book flies towards him and strikes him in the head. "Ouch!" Shelby yelled holding his and then he turns around and looks at Kissyfur with an angry expression. "Kissyfur!" Shelby said in a mad tone. "Just because I can't read to you tonight doesn't mean you can throw a book at me!" "I didn't throw the book!" Kissyfur argued. "Well, I'm sure it wasn't the doll!" said Uncle Shelby. "But it was Chucky!" said Kissyfur "I saw him do it!" Shelby gets really mad and folds his arms. "Kissyfur!" he said angrily "You wait until I tell your papa bear what you did!" "But I didn't do it!" Kissyfur yelled. "Enough!" Shelby shouted back at Kissyfur. "Now, you go to sleep!" Uncle Shelby grabs the doorknob as he begins to shut the door. "Good night, Kissyfur!" said Shelby before he slammed with a loud bang. Kissyfur gets upset and then plants his face in the pillow beginning to cry. Chucky turns his head to Kissyfur crying and then back to the door.
Downstairs in the living room, Uncle Shelby still holds his head as it is hurting from getting hit by a book and then sits on the couch. "What has gotten into that bear cub?" he asked himself. Then he hears the door upstairs creaking realizing the door is opening. "Don't you come out of that room!" he shouted as he assumes Kissyfur was trying to come out of the room and then door creaks again and shuts. Then he marches to the kitchen and grabs a dry washrag and walks out the door outside the house and soaks the rag with really cold water, squirts out all the door and plants the cold and wet rag on the back of his head. "So glad I'm still around." he said to himself. "Why wouldn't you be?" said an unknown voice that started Shelby as he almost had a heart attack from a mockingbird bird named Howie. "Don't do that, Howie!" Shelby shouted as Howie. "Why? Afraid your heart's gonna turn into soup?" Howie asked mocking the elderly turtle. "Very funny." Shelby said sarcastically pressing the rag back on his head. "What happened to your head?" Howie asked. "Oh, just got hit with a book." Shelby answered. "By Kissyfur?" Howie reacted. "Oh, yes." Shelby answered. "I don't know what's gotten into him." "Maybe he just had a fit." Howie assumed. "By the way, how is Beehonie's finger?" Howie asked. "It's all bandaged up now." Shelby answered "Toot's mom and dad sure got him on the behind." Howie scratches his head wondering "Gee. I wonder if that explosion at the circus is bringing us bad luck?" "You just never know, Howie." Shelby said to Howie. "Well, you have a good night, Howie." "You, too, old timer." Howie replied as he flies away. Shelby heads back in the house and notices by the staircase is the Chucky doll and rolls his eyes. "Kissyfur, get back in your room, this instant!" he said but he then hears snoring from upstairs realizing that is in his room and then looks at the doll again. "Well, how did you get down here?" he asked the doll and then he looks away from the doll and looks around the living room and looks back at the staircase and notices the doll is gone. "What the..." he whispered and looked around again and takes a few steps back slowly. Behind the couch is Chucky holding a baseball bat as he is really to attack Shelby. As Shelby passes the couch. Chucky whacks his legs with the bat causing Shelby to fall on his back and being unable to flip back. "Help? Somebody?" Shelby called and he lifts his head up and sees Chucky stands in front of him and gets shocked into fear. "How's your head, Shelby?" Chucky asked Shelby. Shelby then struggles to flip to get away from the evil doll marching toward him. "Howie?" he called. "Miss Emmie! Gus!" Chucky presses his foot on Shelby's shell and pushes him out the door causing him to slide and spin and fly out of his shell and splash into the water stream pulling him away from the swamp and Shelby struggling to swim out of the water as the current is too strong. Chucky watches the helpless turtle getting pulled down the stream and wave. "See ya later!" Chucky said and laughs very hysterically.
As Shelby is still struggling to escape the water, he makes his way to the calm shallow water and finally floats to the dirt to get out of the water. But he is still unable to use his legs that got attacked by Chucky. He then gets approached by a weasel staring at him and and more weasels approach him and he realizes what was about to happen and as he still struggles to move to escape the weasels it was too late. The weasels charge at the elder turtle and start attacking him and mauling him to his death.
Meanwhile at the swamp, Gus and Miss Emmie Lou return as they are already aware of what happened to Shelby and they mourn for his death. "What happened?" said Miss Emmie asking Howie the question. "I found him in the woods where the weasels live." Howie answered. "Then, how did he leave his shell behind?" Gus asked pointing at the shell. "That's the crazy part." Howie explained. "He slid out that door flew out of his shell and floated away and disappeared before I was able to chase after him." "Poor Shelby." Miss Emmie mourned and Howie pointed inside the house. "And that's when I found Kissyfur's baseball bat on the floor by your couch." Gus glances at the bat on the floor and walks over to it and picks it up. "This had to have been on purpose." Gus said suspiciously. "I hate to be thinking of this, Gus." said Howie. "But you don't supposed it was..." "Of course not!" Gus shouted defensively. "My Kissyfur would never hurt anyone!" "Howie!" said Emmie Lou. "How could you say such a thing?" "Well, he has been acting weird since what happened this morning." said Howie. "My boy has nothing to do with what happened to Shelby!" Gus shouted at Howie. "Now, I suggest you leave before I get really mad!" Howie backs away and then flies. Gus then marches back in the house and plops on the couch all exhausted and Emmie Lou joins him and sits by his side to comfort him with her paws wrapped around. "It'll be okay, Gus." said Emmie Lou "I believe Kissyfur had nothing to do with it." Gus looks at Emmie Lou's beautiful face. "Why don't you get some sleep and things will feel better in the morning?" "Thanks, Miss Emmie." said Gus. Emmie Lou kisses his forehead and walks out the door and leaves. Gus presses his chin on his shoulder and lets out really big sigh. "What is happening to us?" Gus asked himself.
