Chapter 22

Parker was walking around in the Milltown, trying to think about something to give his mom for a get well-present, when he ran into Will, Gwen and Hallie;" Hey, guys."

"Hi, Parker." smiled his half-brother as they hugged;" What are you doing here?"

"I'm looking for something to give my mom." answered he;" She's in the hospital."

"We know and I saw her earlier." started Gwen hesitating;" How is your mom really doing, Parker? This whole situation with your dad and all must have been hard for her."

"It was and still is I guess, Gwen. But of course mom acts like she's just fine." said her nephew;" And now she's in the hospital and can't remember anything from last week."

"At least your dad is with her. Maybe this is just what they need to wake up and realize they need to stop acting so stubborn and just work things out." answered she;" Hey, don't worry. Your mom and dad will work this out just like they always do."

"I thought that they already had." replied Parker with a sad look in his eyes;" But then mom tried to protect me and dad got really mad when he found out so he left her just like he always does."

"What happened wasn't your fault. Your parents are going get through this because they love each other ."said his aunt as she gave him a hug;" It's going to be okay again."

Out at the farm holden was sitting at the kitchen-table, working on some paperwork, when Sage sat down next to him on a chair;" When is molly coming back again?"

"I don't know, Sage. I'm sure she won't be much longer." said Holden looking up;" Why don't you go and watch a movie or something?"

"I don't want to watch a movie." answered she;" I want to go and see mom at the hospital!"

"I know you do, but you have to wait until Molly gets back or until your dad comes home. He has to decide if you can go to the hospital." started her father's cousin;" Your brothers will probably be here soon and maybe you can play some video games with them or something until Molly or your dad is here."

"Why did Molly have to go?" asked Sage suspicious;" There's something wrong, isn't there?"

"Why would you think that?" said he, not sure what to tell her without telling her the truth;" Molly just had some things to take care off and I'm sure she'll be back soon. Just go and watch a movie or something until she's back or until your dad gets here."
