Chapter 25

That evening Jack was cleaning up in the kitchen after dinner when Sage came into the kitchen too;" When are we going to see mom?"

"I already told you that Chris wants your mother to rest right now, Sage. Maybe tomorrow." answered Jack tired and saw the stubborn look on his daughter's face;" Please, honey. Just have a little bit more patience and maybe Chris will let your mom come home tomorrow or something."

"But if it's nothing serious then why would Chris want mom to rest so much and why wouldn't we be able to visit her?" asked she suspicious;" Why, dad?"

"I told you why, sweetheart." said her father frustrated and was relieved when J.J. came into the kitchen too;" Why don't you go upstairs with your brother and play some video games?"

"Yeah, I'll let you win this time." answered J.J. as he gently pulled Sage with him, out of the kitchen;" I promise."

"You don't have to let me win because I can win on my own!" said she while they went up the stairs;" I'm better at those games then you are."

"You wish." laughed her brother;" If you win then that's only because I let you win."

"Are you okay, dad?" asked Parker worried when Jack came out of the kitchen and sat down next to him;" Are you worried about mom?"

"Of course I am." answered he;" Once again I opened up my big mouth and made things worse."

"I'm sure that whatever happened mom will forgive you for it." said his son;" She always does and you always end up forgiving her in the end, so it'll be okay."

"I hope so, Parker. But I'm not so sure this time around." started Jack tired;" I might have gone too far this time around."

Molly was sitting out on the porch out at the Snyder farm, deeply in thoughts, when her husband came outside too and sat down next to her;" Are you thinking about Carly and Jack?"

"I'm so mad at Jack for the way he acted towards Carly and she was so upset when I rushed over to the hospital after the nurse called me." said Molly;" He should have known that she wouldn't cheat on him and he had no right to accuse her like that."

"I'm sure that Jack feels really bad right now and it must have been just as big of a shock to hear that Carly's pregnant, Molly." answered her husband;" You can't really blame him for thinking that…."

"Yes, I can because he could have asked Chris how far along she was before jumping to the wrong conclusion!" replied she angry and didn't even let holden finish what he wanted to say;" How he could even think that Carly had cheated on him?"

"Hey, there's no need to get mad at me." started Holden slowly;" All I'm saying is that Jack was shocked and probably wasn't thinking straight after the news that he got from Chris."

"Jack should have kept his big mouth shut and not accuse my cousin of cheating on him!" said his wife as she jumped up and stormed off;" He shouldn't have!"

"Molly….!" called he on after his wife, but without any luck;" Damn it!"
