YOU ARE AWESOME AND YOUR STORY IS AWESOME
Thank you so much for the compliments, you are so sweet, and this request is amazing! I'm not sure if this is what you imagined, but I hope you like it nonetheless! (P.S: This is the story I wrote for a 20 minute challenge with Lostkeyboard, so if it's not as good as my normal that's why)
Warnings: hints of alcoholic abuse.
Dante was dead. That thought shook Cisco to his core, making his whole body shut down. Dante was dead.
Why did he care so much? His brother was the worst, they never cared about each other. Did they? Cisco was always hated by Dante, they were never truly like brothers. Were they?
Either way, the pain felt real, and Cisco found that he couldn't live like he used to. He didn't want to pretend that everything was normal when it wasn't.
Cisco found himself in his dirty apartment, empty bottles broken on the floor, the dishes unclean, and Cisco himself stuck in overwhelming guilt and sadness.
Dante was dead. And nothing could bring him back.
Well, one person could, Barry Allen, through time travel, but no matter how badly Cisco begged, Barry wouldn't do it.
How could you not save my brother? Cisco would yell, tears streaming down his face, and Barry would look at him with raw pity. You're the hero, you're supposed to keep people safe! Save my brother!
You know I can't do that, right? Barry said, trying to calm Cisco down. It would ruin the timeline!
I don't care!
Cisco shook the memory out of his head, plopping down on his worn sofa. He knew that Dante wouldn't want Cisco to shut down his life and break, but Cisco didn't know how to do anything else.
There was a swift knock at the door, and Cisco glanced up, not even realizing that he was crying. Wiping the tears away, he dragged his worn body to the door, opening it to reveal Barry. He gently lowered his face when Cisco opened the door as if in shame, and Cisco tried to hold back a groan.
"What do you want?" He snarled, and Barry put on a plastic smile.
"Can I come in? I brought movies, ice cream, and those chicken wings from that place you like."
"This isn't a breakup, Barry, my brother is dead. You can't expect to make me feel better with food and movies."
Barry bit his lip and used the puppy dog eyes they all were no match to. Cisco sighed.
"Fine."
Barry walked into Cisco's home and made no comment about the state it was in, placing the food down on the table.
"Which movie do you want to see, Cisco?" He asked innocently, taking out the stack of films he brought. "I have the Princess Bride, the Matrix, all three of the Lord of the Rings…"
"What are you doing here, Barry?" Cisco exclaimed suddenly, and Barry looked at him in shock.
Barry ran his fingers through his hair, flustered by Cisco's outburst.
"I want to help."
"Help? Now you want to help? You know all of this, pampering, you have going on here won't help. The only thing I want from you is for you to go back in time and save him." Cisco responded, his voice cold.
"Cisco, you know I can't do that-"
"Stop trying to make everything better and fix this!" He yelled, and some of the glasses on the counter shattered.
"Cisco, I know you're in pain, but please calm down." Barry reasoned in fear, holding out his hands as if he was calming an animal.
"No! I'll calm down when you save Dante!" Without thinking, Cisco raised his hand and shot out a vibrational blast, right at Barry's chest. The speedster flew back into the wall, and fell to the ground, blood leaking from his head.
"Will you do it, Flash? Will you save him or let him die like you let your mom die? Your dad?"
"Cisco…" Barry groaned, but Cisco wasn't done.
"Stop trying to be a friend and be a hero! Do this one thing for me, please! Do you know how much you do for me, and how little I ask of you?" Cisco felt tears burn behind his eyes, and his knees suddenly felt weak. His anger had turned into betrayal, and sadness, and soon he was on the ground. "Please, just save him. I need him back. I need my brother."
Barry made his way over to Cisco, holding his injured head, and gripped Cisco's shoulder comfortingly, but it was shaken off.
"Cisco, I can't help Dante, but I can help you. Let me. What can I do?" Barry pleaded, but Cisco shook his head gravely.
"Tell me that again, and I'll do more to you than blast you against a wall."
"But-"
"Get out!" Cisco yelled, and Barry's face went serious, knowing that Cisco, in the state he was in, was in no mood to talk. Getting up, he swiped a towel from the counter, trying to stop the blood flow from his injury.
"Let me know when you want some help, Cisco, I'll be there. But I'm not going to be around for you to unleash your pain on." Barry said, walking out the door. "Call me when you want to solve your issues with my help and not violence."
Cisco screamed, and threw an empty bottle at the closed door, and knew he was right. Barry would be there.
But Dante wasn't. And Dante was the only person Cisco wanted right now. He didn't want some used-to-be friend to try and help him, when Barry could save his brother.
He vaguely realized that Cisco had hurt Barry with the vibe blast, but he didn't care. Barry deserved it for not saving Dante.
Barry Allen wasn't Cisco's hero anymore. Never again.
I hope you all liked it, and I would love to take more requests, whether it be from reviews or Private Messaging!
