The Festival of Evolution an event held once a year in Kiloude City in Kalos. However this year several plans are set to collide this year during the festival. A secret war between Team Rocket and the new Team Iron will come to light. A subdivision of the international police will have to thrust itself into the public eye. And meanwhile Ash and his friend's are caught in the middle

4. Chapter 4

Thunderstorm pops in.

"Hello everyone, so it's been long enough since the guys who come up with the ideas for this wrote something that I've decided to get a new outfit, cause I feel my old outfit didn't have enough blue, now onto the story. Oh they're also going to be trying out a new writing style cause it is faster and easier for them, so let them know how you feel about it."

Inferno Ops Alpha Team Hotel Room

Gaia Knight walks in carrying Thunderstorm and Torrent.

Phoenix: "Alright now that you two are back we can get our mission started"

Thunderstorm perks up now wearing a blue open jacket, a white shirt with a yellow thunderbolt and a pair of blue track pants.

Thunderstorm: "Oh we were going to get our mission after we finished setting up"

Phoenix: "Yes we were"

Thunderstorm leaps out of Gaia Knight's grip.

Thunderstorm: "Well why didn't you say so?"

Torrent: "Wait when did you change outfits?"

Thunderstorm: "Oh you know in the few years since the last chapter was written"

Phoenix opens up the briefcase revealing it to be a communication device with a screen.

Overlord: "Good to see all of you, we have found what we believe will be Team Rocket's first target, a set of newly discovered Mega Stones will be on display in two days, however they will be arriving later today, your equipment and some fakes of these Mega Stones will be arriving in one hour, replace the real Mega Stones with the fake ones and use them to find Team Rocket's base. A straightforward first step. Call back when it's done, Overlord out."

Overlord shuts off the transmission

Thunderstorm: "Alright this'll be easy, I just go in, try every combination to the safe, replace the stones and get out"

Eagle Warrior: "Let me disable whatever security they have before you do that please"

Phoenix: "And let me make some sort of distraction as well"

Thunderstorm: "I make no promises"

Team Rocket Hotel room

Meowth: "Alright the new Mega Stones will be later today, we've got to get 'em to make a good impression on the boss for this mission"

James: "Do we know what kind of security they have?"

Jessie: "It looks like it's the same equipment as that one place we broke into in Unova"

James: "So same plan as then?"

Meowth: "Sounds good. We should head in two hours after they arrive. Then security will be lower than when it gets delivered"

Jessie: "We should also hand it over to some other people so if it gets lost we don't get any of the blame"

Meowth: "Meowth that's right"

Team Iron Hotel room

V: "Alright, we believe Team Rocket will be stealing a set of new Mega Stones before they can start to be exhibited. We'll let them steal the stones and intercept them on their way back to the base, retrieve those stones, and use them to help quicken the fall of Team Rocket"

Shadow Knight: "Alright, sounds simple enough, I'll go and set up my lookout right now... what are Delta and Zero doing?"

V: "Doing a little bit of reconnaissance on potential threats"

Outside following Ash

Delta: "I'm telling you, this is creepy"

Zero: "Be quiet or they'll hear us"

Delta: "You need to lighten up a bit, if they notice us we can play it off"

Zero: "Not if you say stuff like that out loud"

"Cro gunk!"

The sound of someone being hit by a Poison Jab causes everyone to turn to see Brock on the ground being dragged away by Crogunk

Zero: "Isn't that the Pewter City gym leader?"

Delta: "Former... I think... you know I'm not sure"

(A/N I legitimately don't know if Brock is still the Pewter city gym leader)

Zero: "Alright so we at least know he was the gym leader at some point"

Delta: "Ya"

Over with Ash

Ash: "Hey Brock!"

Brock: "Oh... hey Ash... how have you been?"

Cilan: "Oh hey! Ash!"

Ash: "Cilan! Hey!"

Cilan: "Oh hey, good to see you again"

Brock: "Good to see you too, Cilan is it?"

Ash: "Wait Brock you know Cilan?"

Back with Team Iron

Zero: "And now we have one of the Striaton City gym leaders"

Delta: "Alright, things are getting worse for us"

Zero: "Hang on, the blonde kid with the backpack, isn't that the Lumioise City gym leader?"

Delta: "Yeah"

Zero hard stares at Delta

Delta: "What?"

Zero: "You didn't notice any of them, or think they would be a threat?"

Delta: "I don't consider gym leaders threats"

Zero stares at Delta

Delta: "Ok yeah I probably should have mentioned they were here"

Zero: "Any one else you forgot to mention?"

Delta: "Just some guy named Tobias who has a Darkrai and Latios"

Zero: "Ok, that shouldn't be a problem. I think we've observed enough, come on, let's go and register for the tournament"

Delta: "Alright"

The two Team Iron operatives leave

Back with Ash

Ash: "So that's how you two met"

Cilan: "Indeed, quite an adventure"

Ash: "So what brings you to Kalos Cilan?"

Cilan: "I'm glad you asked. Mega Evolution, the ultimate display of the bond between trainer and Pokémon, any Pokémon connoisseur would love to have this opportunity"

Ash: "That's so amazing. Perhaps I can show you the bond me and my Greninja have later. Why are you here Brock?"

Brock: "I came here to take a look at the effect of Mega Evolution on Pokémon biology"

Speaker: "Will all participants of the tournament who still need to register please report to the register tent. All participants of the tournament who still need to register please report to the register tent"

Ash: "I still need to register!"

Ash takes off along with Clemont, Bonnie and Serena
