Festival of Evolution

The Festival of Evolution an event held once a year in Kiloude City in Kalos. However this year several plans are set to collide this year during the festival. A secret war between Team Rocket and the new Team Iron will come to light. A subdivision of the international police will have to thrust itself into the public eye. And meanwhile Ash and his friend's are caught in the middle

6. Chapter 6

(A/N Alright so I'm going to start this chapter with something that should have been in the last chapter, but that I forgot about)

Outside May's hotel room

Ash knocks on the door with Serena and his friends with him. May opens it.

May: "You're here. Come in"

May lets Ash and his friends in

Max: "Ash?!"

Ash: "Hey Max. Good to see you again"

Max: "Good to see you too. So what have you been up to?"

Ash and Max begin talking

May: "So how did you meet Ash?"

Clemont: "Me and Bonnie met him after a robot I made kicked him out of my gym"

May: "Wait what?!"

Bonnie: "Yeah Clemont is the Lumiose City gym leader. However he got a lot of challengers so he built a robot to do some battling for him so he could have more time for his inventions"

May: "And this robot kicked him out of your gym?"

Clemont: "Yeah I had lost control of it, and it had kicked me out previously, so I was trying to find ways back in so I could deactivate it"

May: "Alright, and what about you Serena?"

Serena: "Oh I actually met Ash at a summer camp when we were kids"

May: "Wow so you've known Ash the longest?"

Serena: "Well it was one meeting and we didn't really keep in touch so yes and no"

May, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie continue talking

Max: "Oh let me show you my Pokémon"

Max releases a Sceptile, a Gallade, a Swellow, a Breloom, a Slaking, and a Sharpedo.

Ash: "Wow, I take it the Gallade is the Ralts you took care of"

Max: "You bet"

Ash: "It's good to see you again"

Gallade: "Gallade"

They continue to talk for a while before all heading to bed

The Next Day

Team Iron Hotel Room

Captain V: "Alright, so once those Team Rocket agents in the tournament lose we grab them and learn where their base is"

Delta: "One of them is going to lose instantly since he's up against me"

Delta showed the match ups for the tournament to Zero and V, also showing that at the start the tournament has been broken up into two brackets and that each bracket would go through it's matches on a different day.

Zero: "Good thing Shadow Knight isn't battling today since he just up and disappeared"

V's transmitter began ringing. He walks over and answers it.

V: "Who is it?"

Shadow Knight: "Shadow Knight. I'm just calling to ask whether I'm battling today"

V: "You aren't. Why have you not come back yet?"

Shadow Knight: "Someone got to the Mega Stones before Team Rocket did. Replaced them with fakes with trackers. I've gone to the next city over and have begun setting up a trap"

V: "Understood. I'll send some grunts over to assist you"

Shadow Knight: "Just make sure they don't get in my way"

V: "Copy that"

Shadow Knight: "If the trap is set off before the grunts arrive here I'll let you know. Shadow Knight out"

Shadow Knight hangs up

Delta: "Of course he goes off on his own and does something like this. Although this other group of people is concerning"

Zero: "Probably that group of people we have no files on. But the question remains, are they working with or against Team Rocket?"

V: "Either way, they must be dealt with ASAP. Keep an eye on them"

Zero: "We'll be able to at least make out something since three of them are battling today"

Inferno Ops Hotel Room

Phoenix: "Eagle how's the trackers looking?"

Eagle Warrior: "Looking good, seems like Team Rocket had a slight mishap as they went off the road for a bit but they got moving shortly afterwards. The fake stones are now at the next city over"

Eagle showed his computer screen which showed the route the fake mega stones had taken and where they were currently.

Phoenix: "Alright, we'll go and check it out tonight. Who is battling today?"

Eagle Warrior: "Me, Gaia and Wicked"

Phoenix: "Good luck today then"

Team Rocket Camp

Giovanni: "A van missing! And the mega stones nowhere to be found! You have utterly failed me! Get out and do something useful for once!"

Jessie, James and Meowth recoil in fear and run away.

James: "Looks like our plan failed guys"

Meowth: "Yeah, but look at it this way, we're still alive 'cause of our plan"

Jessie: "Yes indeed. Now we can still go and steal more Pokemon!"

James: "You know thinking about it, we have survived quite a lot"

Jessie: "Oh yeah we have"

Meowth: "Does that mean we're unkillable?"

James: "Let's not go that far. Let's just go and try and steal some Pokemon"

"Wobbuffet"

Half an hour later, forest near Kiloude City

Zero and Delta are walking through the forest

Delta: "Alright, I'm biting. Why the heck are we in this forest?"

Zero: "We're looking for the Team Rocket base"

Delta: "We'll just learn that when we kidnap those two Team Rocket agents"

Zero: "A suspicion of where it is beforehand never hurts"

Delta: "Fair enough"

In a bush nearby Jessie, James and Meowth poke their heads up

James: "Did you hear that? Their trying to find out camp"

Jessie: "We have to stop them"

Meowth: "But how do we do that?"

Jessie: "We can trick them, make them think the camp is somewhere else"

James: "They're already heading the wrong direction, all we need to do is show up in front of them and they'll think the camp is that way"

Meowth: "Meowth, that's a good plan"

Jessie: "Alright, let's do it"

Jessie, James and Meowth quietly move ahead of Delta and Zero before leaping out from the bushes

Jessie: "Preapre for trouble you Team Iron fools"

James: "And make it double because we're here too"

Delta: "Oh great, these guys"

Zero begins looking through his Pokeballs trying to determine which Pokemon he wants to use.

Jessie: "To protect the world from devastation"

James: "To unite all people within our nations"

Zero: "No not Lucario"

Jessie: "To denounce the evils of truth and love"

James: "To extend our reach to the stars above"

Zero: "This one will do"

Jessie: "Jessie"

James: "James"

Jessie: "Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light"

James: "Surrender now or prepare to fight"

Meowth: "Meowth that's right"

"Wobbuffet"

Zero: "Tyrannitar Hyper Beam"

Zero sends out his Tyrannitar and it uses Hyper Beam and sends Team Rocket flying

Jessie, James, Meowth: "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again"

"Wobbuffet"

Team Rocket twinkles in the sky

Zero: "Think they'll survive that?"

Delta: "No way, there is absolutely no chance anyone could survive that"

Several miles away, in a tree

James: "Well, that could've gone worse"

Path to the Battle Arena

Ash and friends, now including Brock, Cilan, May and Max are walking towards the stadium.

Ash: "Alright, first day of the tournament. I can't wait to see who we're up against"

Serena: "It's also the first day of the contest"

Behind them from out behind a tree comes Dawn wearing a new outfit.

(A/N Cause she needs a redesign, and if the new Diamond and Pearl games won't do it, we will)

A black short jacket with long sleeves, a pink scarf with the two ends of it going down to just below her waist with a light pink ribbon right before each end, black leggings, pink boots with white rims, a light pink dress with a pink skirt, a light blue hat and two yellow hair clippings that are two circles connected together.

Dawn moves over holding her finger to her lips to make everyone else be quiet. She walks over to the left of Ash and does the same for Serena who looks confused. Dawn ducks to the right of Ash as Ash looks to the left. Dawn then taps Ash on his right shoulder and dashes to the left when Ash looks to the right. Piplup begins silently laughing as Dawn begins darting to the left and right as Ash continues looking before Ash turns around and sees Dawn.

Ash: "Dawn!"

Dawn: "Hey Ash"

Dawn and Ash high five.

Serena: "So how do you know Ash?"

Dawn: "I traveled with him in Sinnoh. I'm here for the contest"

Serena: "Oh, you're a coordinator like May?"

Dawn: "You bet"

Serena: "Then could you help me out with planning my performance"

Dawn: "Oh you're competing in the contest as well?"

Serena: "Yep"

Dawn: "I'd be happy to help"

They all continue walking along.

Battle Arena

Official: "And now the tournament shall begin, for our first match we have Tobias vs Edward Satori. This shall be a three on three battle"

Tobias and Zero arrive at the field

Tobias: "Go Darkrai"

Zero: "Tyrannitar, boots on the ground"

Both of their Pokemon are deployed.

Official: "Battle begin!"

Tobias: "Ice Beam"

Dakrai charges up the beam and fires it at Tyrannitar

Zero: "Stone Edge"

Tyrannitar slams its foot into the ground and causes a wave of stone to rise up blocking the Ice Beam and continuing towards Darkrai. Darkrai floating above the rocks to avoid them.

Zero: "Hyper Beam"

Tyrannitar charges and fires a Hyper Beam which hits Darkrai

Tobias: "Dark Void"

Tyrannitar is surrounded in darkness and is put to sleep

Tobias: "Now Ice Beam it until it's finished"

Darkrai charges up and fires continuous Ice Beams at Tyrannitar which freezes it.

Zero: "Tyrannitar, it's time we ended this charade. Dragon Pulse"

Tyrannitar wakes up and breaks out of its icy prison before firing a Dragon Pulse through the incoming Ice Beams which hits and knocks out Darkrai. Tobias then recalls Darkrai.

Tobias: "Go Latios"

Tobias sends out his Latios.

Tobias: "Steel Wing"

Latios dashes forward with its wing glowing metallically and slams into Tyrannitar.

Zero: "Stone Edge"

Tyrannitar sends a large wave of stones towards Latios.

Tobias: "Make sure he doesn't get a clear shot"

Latios begins soaring around the rocks.

Zero: "Dark Pulse"

Tyrannitar fires a beam of darkness in a sweeping motion to try and hit Latios.

Tobias: "Light Screen"

Latios brings up a square of light in front of it which blocks the Dark Pulse.

Zero: "Stone Edge"

Tyrannitar continues firing the Dark Pulse while sending another wave of stones at Latios which hit it due to Latios having to keep up the Light Screen.

Zero: "Now Dark Dragon Pulse"

Tyrannitar fires a combination of Dragon Pulse and Dark Pulse which hits Latios while it is still recovering from the Stone Edge. Latios falls to the ground fainted. Tobias recalls Latios.

Tobias: "Go Entei"

Tobias sends out an Entei.

Tobias: "Extreme Speed"

Entei vanishes before slamming into Tyrannitar.

Tobias: "Bulldoze"

Entei slams its front paws into the ground causing the ground to violently shake and hurt Tyrannitar.

Tobias: "Lava Plume"

Entei slams its left paw into the ground causing a plume of lava to erupt from under Tyrannitar.

Zero: "Is that the best you got?"

The lava subsides to show Tyrannitar looking unphased.

Zero: "Tyrannitar, end this now, Stone Edge then follow it up with Hyper Dragon Pulse"

Tyrannitar sends a wave of stones towards Entei.

Tobias: "Extreme Speed"

Entei avoids the Stone Edge and slams into Tyrannitar. Zero simply smirks as Tyrannitar then unleashes a combination of Dragon Pulse and Hyper Beam at point blank range into Entei knocking it out.

Official: "Entei is unable to battle. Tyrannitar is the victor. The winner is Edward Satori"

Zero recalls Tyrannitar and then walks away.

In the stands

Ash: "(Ash grips one of the guardrails a little tighter) Such strong Pokemon. That won't discourage me"

Max: "You also don't have to face him soon so you have time to train"

Elsewhere in the stands

Delta: "Quite flashy and attention getting, but considering who his opponent was not much of a choice"

V: "You know there is a thing called purposefully losing"

Delta: "And insult our Pokemon and pride as trainers? Hell no is that ever gonna happen"

Elsewhere in the stands

Phoenix: "Ok, why did that guy have two Legendary Pokemon and a Mythical Pokemon? What else does he have?"

Eagle Warrior: "And how the heck did that guy beat all of them with just a Tyrannitar?"

Thunderstorm: "It's almost like Tobias' only role in stories is to either prevent someone from winning or make someone else appear more powerful"

Back down on the field some Pokemon begin cleaning up the field.

Official: "The next match between Max Maple and Yarin Lukoni will begin in five minutes. Will the participants please take their places"

Ash: "Good luck Max"

Max: "Thanks"

Max heads off.

Five minutes later

Official: "The next match is between Max Maple and Yarin Lukoni"

Max: "Go Sceptile"

Max sends out a Sceptile.

Yarin: "Go Gyrados"

Yarin sends out a Gyrados.

Official: "Battle begin!"

The match begins and ends with Max's victory, his Sceptile and Gallade having taken out all of Yarin's Pokemon.

Official: "The next match between Terock Amet and Annie will begin in five minutes. Will the participants please come down to the field"

Wicked Shadow: "Alright I'm up"

Phoenix: "Make us proud Annie"

Wicked Shadow: "No need to worry about that, this is going to be easy"

Wicked Shadow begins heading down to the field and Phoenix watches her as she walks away

Thunderstorm: "By the way this is totally counting towards our agreement yesterday"

Phoenix: "How?"

Thunderstorm: "Cause if Annie can kick Team Rocket but then you have even less to worry about"

Phoenix: "Fair, I guess"

Five minutes later

Official: "The next match is between Annie and Terock Amet"

Wicked Shadow stands on one end of the field while an incredibly average looking man stands on the other end

In the stands

Zero: "Now, let's see what they can do"

Delta puts on a pair of glasses

Delta: "I'll record it so we can watch it back later"

V: "(Resting his chin on his hand) Just make sure the recording is entirely relevant this time"

Delta: "(Holding up one finger) One time! I clicked on one of my personal files one time!"

Zero: "And we learned a lot about you that day"

Delta: "Then you should remember I don't have a thing for people with black hair, I like more colorfully haired people, like say purple"

V: "(Rubbing his temples) Didn't need to know that"

Elsewhere in the stands

Jessie: "Alright, we can surely win here, after all our two agents have been given all sorts of rare Pokemon for this"

James: "There's no way they can lose this tournament"

Meowth: "Yeah, they should be able to show these twerps who's boss"

On the field

Wicked Shadow: "Golurk, out from the shadows"

Wicked Shadow sends out a Golurk.

Terock Amet: "Go Scolipede"

Terock Amet sends out a Scolipede

Official: "Battle begin"

Wicked Shadow: "Earthquake"

Golurk slams one of its fists into the ground causing it to shake violently and knock Scolipede off balance.

Wicked Shadow: "Shadow Punch"

Golurk makes a punching motion and sends a ghostly fist which collides with Scolipede

Terock Amet: "Venoshock"

Scolipede makes a mass of purple projectiles and sends them flying towards Golurk

Wicked Shadow: "Dodge and Shadow Ball"

Golurk flies into the air avoiding the Venoshock then creates a Shadow Ball and throws it into Scolipede which knocks it out. Terock Amet recalls Scolipede.

Terock Amet: "Go Drapion"

Terock Amet sends out a Drapion.

Terock Amet: "Night Slash"

Drapion makes two Night Slashes with its pincers and throws them at Golurk in the air.

Wicked Shadow: "Dynamic Punch"

Golurk drops and avoids the two Night Slashes and slams its fist into Drpaion's face sending it flying and knocking it out.

Terock Amet: "Go Beedrill"

Terock Amet sends out a Beedrill.

Terock Amet: "Twineedle"

Beedrill's arm needles glow and it flys towards Golurk.

Wicked Shadow: "Shadow Punch"

Golurk punches Beedrill with its fist once it gets close then sends the ghost fist into Beedrill sending it flying back.

Terock Amet: "Bug Buzz"

Beedrill flaps its wings more rapidly and sends out waves towards Golurk.

Wicked Shadow: "Dodge and Shadow Ball"

Golurk flies up and throws another Shadow Ball which slams into and knocks out Beedrill.

Official: "Beedrill is unable to battle. Golurk is the winner. The match winner is Annie"

In the stands

Thunderstorm: "I'm gonna be honest, that was easier than I was expecting"

Torrent: "What were you expecting?"

Thunderstorm: "I was expecting them to at least get a hit on Golurk"

Elsewhere in the stands

Zero: "Alright Delta you're up"

Delta: "Alright, time for me to do my thing"

V: "You know where to store him once you knock him out"

Delta: "Of course, in the closet of that one janitor we bribed"

Elsewhere in the stands

Ash: "Looks like we're in for some tough battles ahead"

Brock: "It sure does, but when has that ever stopped you?"

Participant tunnels

Terock Amet: "Stupid girl. How the heck did her one Pokemon beat all the rare Pokemon the boss gave me?"

Terock continues to fume as he walks out. Only for Delta to wrap his arm around the back of his neck in a friendly manner.

Delta: "(Palm open towards Terock's face) Seems like you could use something to cheer you up"

Terock Amet: "Who are you?"

Delta: "Benjamin Hirocho, and you seem like a guy who could use a good night"

Terock Amet: "Are you offering something?"

Delta: "Well let's just say I'm also looking for a good night, and you're pretty good looking in my eyes"

Small holes begin opening in Delta's hand and Sleep Powder begins coming out of them.

Terock Amet: "Alright well that sounds nice but (starts stumbling) I think… what I… need is… a… (collapsing) nap"

Delta: "And another one bites the dust. Oh I love this part of my job"

Delta begins dragging the unconscious Team Rocket agent away towards a closet, making it look like he's helping a friend who fell asleep.

The matches continue, Brock, Eagle Warrior, and Gaia Knight easily winning their matches. The match between Kalin and Depa going to Kalin.

Official: "The match between Rocket Emat and Benjamin Hirocho will now begin"

Rocket Emat: "Go Seviper"

Rocket Emat lets out a Seviper.

Delta: "Exeggutor, let's go"

Delta sends out an Exeggutor.

Official: "Battle begin"

Delta: "Psychic"

Exeggutor's eyes glow as a glow appears around Seviper before Seviper is slammed into the ground.

Rocket Emat: "Poison Fang"

Delta: "Psyshock"

Exeggutor creates many orbs of Pyshcic energy around itself before sending them into Seviper, taking Seviper out. Rocket Emat recalls Seviper.

Rocket Emat: "Go Weezing"

Rocket Emat sends out a Weezing.

Delta: "Leech Seed"

Exeggutor sends out seeds which land on top of Weezing and begin draining energy from it.

Rocket Emat: "Smog"

Weezing lets out a cloud of poisonous gas.

Delta: "Psychic on the cloud"

Exeggutor's eyes glow as it uses Psychic and rips the cloud apart causing it to dissipate.

Delta: "Now Psyshock"

Exeggutor creates more orbs of Psychic energy before slamming them into Weezing taking it out.

Rocket Emat: "Go Gengar"

Rocket Emat sends out a Gengar.

Delta: "Well now this just won't do. Exeggutor return"

Delta recalls Exeggutor.

Delta: "Shiftry, let's go"

Delta sends out a Shiftry.

Rocket Emat: "Shadow Ball"

Gengar makes and throws a Shadow Ball.

Delta: "Leaf Blade"

Shiftry's leaf hands glow as it slices the Shadow Ball apart.

Delta: "Now Sucker Punch"

Shiftry runs up to Gengar and slams one of its leaf hands into Gengar.

Rocket Emat: "Sludge Bomb"

Gengar spits up a mass of purple goop.

Delta: "Extrasensory"

Shiftry's eyes glow as it dissolves the Sludge Bomb with psychic power.

Delta: "Now Dark Pulse"

Shiftry fires a Dark Pulse into Gengar.

Rocket Emat: "Shadow Claw"

Gengar creates a ghostly claw on one of its arms and charges towards Shiftry.

Delta: "Leaf Blade"

Shiftry's leaf hands glow as it charges towards Gengar. The two sliding past each other and Gengar collapsing afterwards.

Official: "Gengar is unable to battle Shiftry is the winner. The victor is Benjamin Hirocho"

Rocket Emat goes fuming off.

Delta waves to the crowd for a bit before heading off and tracking Emat with some pollen that his Pokemon sent Emats way.

Delta: "Hey Emat"

Rocket Emat: "What the hell do you want?!"

Delta: "I just wanted to say nice job"

Delta holds his hand out for a hand shake.

Rocket Emat: "(Shakes hand) Fine but don't expec-"

Rocket Emat suddenly completely freezes.

Delta: "Aw what's the matter, can't move? You just got hit with a little modified Stun Spore that I can release from my hand. (Delta takes his hand out of Emats hand but Emats arm doesn't lower) Don't worry its effects aren't permanent. But they'll last long enough for me to do what I want with you. But then again, I shouldn't risk it at all"

Delta chops Emat on the back of the head knocking him out.

Delta: "And another one down, and another one down, another one bites the dust"

Delta begins dragging Emat to the same closet that Terock is in.

Nearby City

(A/N This section was written by my friend, enjoy)

-Near a deserted section of the city the next town over

Shadow Knight: (Speaking over comms.) Okay. Everything is set up. I've decided where the fake mega stones will be to lure whoever swapped them. I've got the hit squads ready to come in and strike when they show up. Finally, I'm in an optimal position to observe the situation and strike when I feel necessary. There's a 95% probability that we'll take them out and capture as many prisoners as we can reasonably acquire to gather more information.

Team Iron Lieutenant: (Over comms.) And the other 5% is what exactly?

Shadow Knight: (Over comms.) That's if our enemies bring an entire army to take us out, in which case I'll have our troops pull out and try to acquire one of their troops if possible. Which should be easy considering that the hit squads are about a minute away from where the mega stones are stored.

Team Iron Lieutenant: (Over comms.) Good. We wouldn't want any unnecessary casualties. And remember, while you are one of our best agents that doesn't mean that the rest are near your level. So don't bite off more than you and your squad can chew.

Shadow Knight: (Over comms.) Yeah I know. This isn't my first time carrying a team and not the first time where I've had to do most of the work too. Besides, we've got time since this part of town is abandoned. We've got 30 minutes minimum before any law enforcement shows up. Also, the streets and alleys give me a clear view on everything that'll happen and I've got drones set up in advance as well to record whatever goes down. Now all that's left is to wait for the trap to be triggered.

Team Iron Lieutenant: (Over comms.) Good to hear. Report back once when you find whoever's responsible for the fake mega stones.

Shadow Knight: (Over comms.) Will do. Shadow Knight out.

Contest Hall

Official: "Welcome to the first contest held in Kalos. Our judges for this contest are the Kiloude City Nurse Joy"

Nurse Joy: "Hello"

Official: "The chief of the Pokemon Activities Committee, Mr. Contesta"

Contesta: "It's a pleasure to be here"

Official: "The head of the Pokemon fan club, Mr. Sukizo"

Sukizo: "I look forward to seeing what Kalos has to offer"

Official: "And finally one of our Battle Chatelaines of the Battle Maison, Nita"

Nita: "This'll be a grand time, I can tell and me Pokemon can tell it too"

Official: "And now we shall begin this contest with our first participant Serena"

Contest Preparation Room

Serena: "Why am I going first?! I'm not ready in the least!"

May: "That's just first contest nerves. You'll do fine"

Dawn: "Yeah, just take a deep breath, everything will be alright"

Zero: "(Walking towards a changing room) Push all of your fears to the back of your mind, letting them run rampant will mess up your Pokemon as well as you"

Zero enters the changing room.

Serena: "I wasn't expecting him to give advice. (Takes deep breath) Ok, I'm ready"

Contest Floor

Serena: "Go Pancham"

Pancham comes out of his Pokeball with a bit of a flourish.

Serena: "Stone Edge"

Pancham sends up a large amount of stones.

Serena: "Arm Thrust"

Pancham leaps into the stones and smashes them sending pieces of them flying into the air.

Serena: "Dark Pulse"

Pancham fires a Dark Pulse up in the middle of all the Stone fragments, causing the minerals in them to glisten and sparkle.

Nurse Joy: "Stunning"

Contesta: "A treat to observe"

Sukizo: "A wonderful performance"

Nita: "A real spectacle"

Contest Changing Room

Zero begins putting on a suit and tie from a case he brought in with him.

Zero: "How long has it been? Since I first stood upon the stage. Since Team Iron took me. Since Edward Satori died and Zero was born… no, not died, vanished. And now, he is back"

Zero takes off his visor showing his lifeless light red eyes.

Zero: "Of course once I exit this building, he will vanish once again, replaced by Zero, until I enter here again. But he will not keep happily vanishing. So Team Iron has to beware, the day that Zero dies, and Edward Satori comes back permanently"

Zero puts on a top hat and looks up into the mirror. His eyes now full of life, a smile gracing his face and his tone no longer monotone.

Edward Satori: "It's showtime"

Contest Preparation Room

May: "You did great"

Dawn: "Yeah you'll move on to the next round for sure"

Serena: "Thanks, it wasn't as bad as I thought"

More contestants go out and give their performances

Official: "And next up is May Maple"

May: "Well time to shine"

May heads out.

Contest Floor

May: "Wartortle, take the stage"

May sends out her Wartortle with many bubbles coming out of the Pokeball as well.

May: "Rapid Spin and Bubble"

Wartotle retreats into it's shell and begins releasing bubbles as it spins around.

May: "Ice Beam"

Wartorle comes out of the Rapid Spin and freezes the bubbles.

May: "Aqua Tail"

Wartortle makes its tail become covered in water as it swipes and shatters all the frozen bubbles, causing a sparkling rain of crystals.

Nurse Joy: "A wonderful sight"

Contesta: "Simply splendid"

Sukizo: "Great use of moves"

Nita: "A real good time to watch"

Contest Preparation Room

Dawn: "Nice job"

Serena: "That was beautiful"

May: "Thanks, it's from a lot of practice. Don't think it means you can't win though. Dawn beat me in the Wallace Cup"

Serena: "Really?"

Dawn: "Yeah, it was after I had a long losing streak and I was beginning to doubt myself"

Serena: "Wow"

More contestants go out and give their performances

Official: "And next up is Dawn"

Dawn: "Wish me luck"

Dawn heads out.

Contest Floor

Dawn: "Buneary, spotlight"

Dawn sends out Buneary

Dawn: "Ice Beam"

Buneary fires an Ice Beam and makes a large amount of slides which it proceeds to do flips and spins in before sliding up the largest one.

Dawn: "Bounce"

Buneary arrives at the top of the largest slide and leaps up high.

Dawn: "Thunder Punch"

Buneary pulls its ears back towards it's head and charges them up with electricity as it falls back towards the ice slides. When it gets close it launches its ears towards the ice, shattering it and sending many ice crystals into the air electrified and sparkling.

Nurse Joy: "A great performance"

Contesta: "Quite a show"

Sukizo: "Great use of moves"

Nita: "A great ol time"

Contest Preparation Room

May: "That was great"

Dawn: "Thanks"

Serena: "I'm starting to have doubts about you saying I could still win earlier"

Dawn: "It wasn't that impressive"

More contestants go out and give their performances

Official: "And for our final performance, we have Edward Satori"

Edward Satori walks out

Contest Floor

Edward Satori: "Ladies and gentlemen, (grabs rims of hat) it's showtime!"

Edward Satori takes his hat off sending a Pokeball flying out of it. The Pokeball opening in a dazzling display of light as an Absol comes out of it.

Edward Satori: "Future Sight then Psychic"

Absol sends a beam of energy upwards before using Psychic to break it into five streams and have them fly around.

Edward Satori: "Now Shadow Ball"

Absol fires five Shadow Balls which absorb the streams controlled by Psychic, glistening with the contained psychic energy before they float up into the air and vanish into the future.

Edward Satori: "Now Night Slash"

Absol sends out five Night Slashes as the Shadow Balls, glistening with the psychic energy inside of them come out of the Future Sight. The Night Slashes then colliding with the Shadow Balls as they create a display of fireworks and sparkling specks.

Nurse Joy: "Amazing"

Contesta: "Simply splendid"

Sukizo: "A masterful display"

Nita: "Such a great performance"

Edward Satori gives a bow before recalling his Absol and walking back into the Preparation room to the stunned faces of everyone in there as he walks back into a changing room.

Contest Preparation Room

May: "This is gonna be tougher than I thought"

Dawn: "Yeah, that guy won't be easily beat"

Serena: "There's no way I can win"

May: "Don't talk like that, if you think that then you're making it so"

Outside the contest hall

Ash: "You all did great"

Ash says as Serena, May and Dawn walk out of the contest hall.

Serena: "Thanks"

May: "We've got some tough competition in there"

Dawn: "Yeah that Edward Satori guy had a pretty good performance"

Serena: "Yeah, it also almost seemed like he was a completely different person when he was giving his performance"

Zero walks out and past all of them, back in his cloak with his visor on.

Brock: "Well it is kinda the job of a coordinator to put on a show for the audience, so maybe it's that"

Clemont: "That sounds very likely"

Cilan: "I'm not so sure, his demeanor was so different that it seems a little too drastic to be that"

Bonnie: "Enough about that downer, (turning to Dawn and May) you're Pokemon looked so cool out there!"

Team Iron Hotel Room

Delta: "Alright our prisoners have been transferred to our newly established forward operating base"

V: "Did you see Zero's performance?"

Delta: "No, cause I don't concern myself with the past"

V: "It was a sight to behold. You're really missing out"

Delta: "All it does is make him lose focus"

V: "Look just because we're on a mission doesn't mean you can't enjoy yourself a little bit"

Delta: "And where was that earlier when you were suggesting that me and Zero purposefully lose?"

V: "That was before I saw Zero happy for the first time"

Delta: "That wasn't Zero then, Zero can't be happy. That was Edward Satori"

V: "They're the same person. Just like you are Benjamin Hirocho, no matter how much you try to deny it. And besides, at least the two of you aren't Shadow Knight"

Delta: "Oh yeah, he makes me and Zero look like all we do is relax. Seriously I don't think I've ever seen him not working except when he is asleep"

V: "Exactly"

Later that day

Phoenix: Okay Eagle, are you certain about the fake mega stones location?

Eagle Warrior: I'm certain. They've been in the same place for hours. Now's the time to get them before they decide to move them or figure out that they're fakes.

Thunderstorm: Finally, we're finally done with preparation and are going on our first mission as a team. I'm so excited. I'm already geared up. (Thunderstorm gestured to himself in his gear.)

Phoenix: Thanks for the enthusiastic attitude Thunderstorm. Everyone else gear up and get ready. We leave in 15 minutes. (Everyone put on their superhero suits and got ready to leave.) Before we leave, does anyone have questions about what we're doing on the mission?

Eagle: I know that Torrent and I are keeping watch in case any reinforcements come your way.

Gaia Knight: While I find if there's a back entrance where they may try to escape while Thunderstorm, Wicked Shadow and you go through the main entrance.

Torrent: I don't know why I can't just phase through the wall and get us in that way?

Phoenix: We don't know what we're getting ourselves into and it's better to secure all ways in and out of wherever they're being stored. Besides if something bad happens then either Thunderstorm can run out of there or I can teleport us out of there.

Torrent: Can I at least not be put to the sidelines?

Eagle: It's important to make sure that the area is secure so that we're not the ones being surrounded.

Thunderstorm: Enough talk already. This chapter is already long enough. Let's just go go go. Right now. Come on to the van. (Thunderstorm ran down to the van they'll use to get to the next town over.)

Phoenix: He's got a point. Let's go.

Wicked Shadow: Right behind you. (Everyone went down to the garage and got into the van.)

Gaia Knight: I'm driving. (Gaia Knight went into the driver's seat.)

Torrent: (Torrent entered the passenger side seat.) Let's go.

Gaia Knight: You made sure to bring your water pack right?

Torrent: Obviously.

Gaia Knight: Alright. Let's head out.
