(A/N Hello everyone, here is the chapter that my friend wrote, and this was also written about *looks at watch* two months before this was uploaded, so hope you enjoy)
-In the van with the Sacred Knights
Thunderstorm: Yo Phoenix do you know what type of van this is or what?
Phoenix: My dad said that it's some armored vehicle that they customized to blend in with the general public. You see that sunroof up top. (Phoenix pointed to the sunroof in the back of the van.) There used to be a minigun stationed there.
Thunderstorm: Wow, I just thought that this was some party truck or something with all of the room for snacks. (Thunderstorm grabbed some bags of snacks he stashed in the van.) I mean there's a lot of room for snacks here.
Eagle Warrior: I think that those were compartments for weapons and supplies, not snacks.
Thunderstorm: Well, then how do you explain the minifridge in here. Are you telling me that it wasn't designed for sodas?
Phoenix: I believe that was to keep severed limbs and certain chemicals on ice when they were on the move.
Thunderstorm: Well, I choose to look at things differently. Come on, have a soda and some snacks before we get there. It's going to be a long drive so enjoy it. (Thunderstorm hands out sodas and snacks to everyone else.) Got to keep your energy up.
Phoenix: (Looks around at everyone else.) Ah, what the heck. Cheers. (Everyone puts their sodas together.) To our first mission as a team and may it be a success.
Everyone: Yeah. (Everyone started digging into the various snacks that they had.)
Thunderstorm: Seriously though, we should go out partying in this thing. It'll be awesome, we can go clubbing, or to the movies, or we can go karaoking.
Wicked Shadow: No, we are not going karaoking. I have a terrible singing voice and I would just be embarrassed afterwards.
Thunderstorm: I can't sing either but you can still do something embarrassing and still have fun afterwards.
Wicked Shadow: Really, then please demonstrate.
Thunderstorm: Gladly. (Thunderstorm puts some music on some music from his phone.) Let's dance Phoenix. (Thunderstorm reaches out to Phoenix.)
Phoenix: Wait, why me?
Thunderstorm: It has to be embarrassing. Come on. (Thunderstorm pulls Phoenix up.) Now, 5 6 7 … Augh (Thunderstorm and Phoenix fall down due to the van shaking.)
Gaia Knight: Bumpy roads guys. Make sure that you're buckled up. (Gaia Knight yelled from up front.)
Wicked Shadow and Eagle Warrior laughed at the two on the floor.
Thunderstorm: You get the point. (Thunderstorm got up and sat next to Eagle Warrior.)
Phoenix: Yeah, but next time don't drag me into it. (Phoenix got up and sat next to Wicked Shadow.)
Wicked Shadow: Oh come on I bet that you're a great dancer. Anyway I save your soda for you. (Wicked Shadow hands Phoenix his soda.)
Phoenix: Thanks. (Phoenix grabbed his soda and took a sip from it.)
The van stopped a little way away from where the fake mega stones were being held and got out of the van.
Phoenix: Okay, we go on foot from here.
Eagle Warrior: Yeah, let's get out of the armored vehicle and face likely armed criminals.
Thunderstorm: No worries, I'll take them all out before the rest of you guys take a single step inside.
Torrent: Alright, let's head in and bash some skulls. (Torrent walked to the back of the van.)
Phoenix: What! Where's your water tank? Don't you need that to you know, water bend.
Torrent: That thing was way too heavy and just looked ridiculous. Besides this mission will be done in 5 minutes flat with all of us combined.
Gaia Knight: Yeah, if you plan on sitting back the whole time since you chose not to bring any resources that'll help you use your powers to their fullest extent. You even told me that you had it in the back.
Torrent: So I lied. (Everyone looked at Torrent.) Hey, I'm the only one being forced to bring extra equipment here when I'm perfectly fine with winning a fight without having to rely on my bending powers.
Phoenix: Look, just stand lookout with Eagle and if everything goes well we won't even need you in a fight. Now let's go.
Eagle Warrior: Shouldn't we get Torrent his water pack so he'd be able to fight the most efficiently?
Phoenix: We can't, the drive back would take too long, I can't teleport that far and I don't want Thunderstorm tiring himself out before the mission begins. So Torrent's going to have to use the water that he finds there. Now let's go. (Everyone walked to the location of the mega stones.
-Near the building with the fake mega stones
The Sacred Knights gather near the building where they've deduced the stolen mega stones are located. The windowless building looked run down and is located in an area with similar looking buildings and little to no human life present in the dimly lit street.
Eagle Warrior: Okay, the signal from the fake mega stones are coming from that building over there.
Phoenix: Good, now you and Torrent keep watch for anyone coming this way.
Torrent: Got it (Torrent then went invisible and footsteps were heard walking off. Eagle also flew to the top of the building to get a good view of the surrounding area.)
Phoenix: Okay, now Gaia you secure the back exit to the building so no one inside can escape while Thunderstorm, Wicked and I head through the front of the building.
Gaia Knight: Sounds like a plan. (He then walked to the back of the building.)
Phoenix: Okay, now Thunderstorm when I kick the door down you run in and report where you see the Team Rocket grunts are just in case Wicked and I need to make a new way into the building.
Thunderstorm: Hey depending on the number of guards in there I can probably take them all down before the two of you realize that I'm already inside. (He then got into a running position near the door)
Phoenix: Alright, before the mission starts mic checks. Is everyone in position?
Eagle: I'm ready and have an aerial view of our surroundings.
Torrent: I have a view of a street with no cars on it. Or atleast no cars that still have their wheels.
Gaia Knight: I have the back covered.
Thunderstorm: COME ON! COME ON! I can't wait for our first mission to finally start. Let's go already.
Phoenix: (He looks back to Wicked Shadow) You ready.
Wicked Shadow: (She summons her scythe in her hands) I'm ready as I'll ever be.
Phoenix: Okay. (He summons his dual swords in his hands.) Let the mission begin. (He kicks down the door.)
-On top of a building down the street a few moments earlier
Shadow Knight sits atop of with a high impact sniper rifle in hand looks down the scope at the Sacred Knights surrounding the Exterior of the building.
Shadow Knight: Okay. I count six hostiles on site. Three at the front entrance. One at the back. One on top of the building. And one at the corner south of the street, but that one's cloaked somehow and the other one was able to fly. I don't know who these guys are, but they've presented abnormal abilities so be on your A game when you come in. Wait for the signal and bring the vans around to deal with them, but if you can leave them alive. I'd like to find out how they're capable of performing such feats and I'd prefer to have living test subjects if it's possible.
Team Iron Grunt: Yes Sir. Standing by for the signal. (The grunt radioed in confirming with Shadow Knight.)
Shadow Knight: Okay, what abilities do the rest of you possess?
-Back to the entrance of the building
Phoenix kicks open the door, but that sets off a bomb set at the door blasting Phoenix back with multiple pieces of wood from the door being lodged in his head.
Thunderstorm: PHOENIX! (He runs to his friend as fast as he can) Come on man if anyone can survive this it'll be you. Don't you give up on me now. You can't die on our first mission. PHOENIX!
Wicked Shadow just stands there stunned looking at Thunderstorm talking frantically to their unconscious friend.
Gaia Knight: What in the world was that just now. Did Phoenix just blow the door up. (Gaia said over coms.)
Wicked Shadow: (Wicked Shadow got back to her senses and looked inside the building to see it's empty inside.) It's a trap. Team Rocket knew the stones were fake and lured us into a trap. (She steps closer to Phoenix and Thunderstorm.) Phoenix is down and we need to regroup before …
Bang
A gunshot is fired and the shot is heading towards Wicked Shadow's right arm, but Thunderstorm is able to react fast enough to pull Wicked Shadow down. The shot missed and Thunderstorm was able to get the three of them inside the building before another any more shots were fired.
-Back with Shadow Knight
Shadow Knight: Interesting, a speedster. He'll be most troublesome indeed. (Shadow looks at the alley behind the building that he's on top of.) That'll be a fine place to take him out. All I have to do is get his attention.
-At the corner with Torrent
Wicked Shadow: (Over coms) We have to regroup before…
Torrent: Aw man. Don't tell me that this plan has already gone to crap. (He hears a couple of vans drive down the street and one of them opens up one of its sides to reveal gunmen. They open fire on the corner and Torrent has only a moment to activate his intangibility, but in doing so he reveals himself)
Team Iron Grunt: There's the kid. Get him men.
Torrent phases through the closest building that he sees.
Torrent: Guys, there are gunmen in vans here and one group is trying to kill me.
Just as Torrent finishes his sentence the gunmen start shooting through the walls of the building just narrowly missing Torrent as he gets down as fast as he can.
Torrent: (Covering his microphone) Why did I leave my water jug back at the hotel. (He starts moving to where he knows his friends are located.)
-Back with Shadow Knight
Shadow Knight: Intangibility too. Impressive. Most impressive, but it's time now to take care of the people who chose to take shelter inside and on top of the building. (Shadow Knight said right before detonating the explosives he planted on the interior roof of the building.
-Inside the building with Phoenix, Wicked Shadow and Thunderstorm
Eagle Warrior: (Over coms) Guys Torrent is right. I see four or five more vans pulling up to our location. We have to get out of here now before we're surrounded.
Wicked Shadow: Yeah, the three of us are inside the building. There's a sniper positioned out front so Gaia you're going to have to make us a new exit and I don't advise using any doors.
Gaia Knight: (Over coms) I'm on it. Just hold tight.
It was at that moment that the roof of the building was detonated causing stone debris to start falling down. Wicked Shadow makes a shadow barrier with her Shadow manipulation to protect Phoenix, Thunderstorm and herself. She was able to protect the three of them, but the debris was still piled up above them. However, Gaia Knight was able to get all of the debris off of them before Wicked Shadow's barrier would have given out.
Gaia Knight: When I said hold tight I didn't mean that tight.
Wicked Shadow: Thanks for saving us Gaia. I don't know how much I would have lasted.
Eagle Warrior: Well the night's not over yet. (He said as he flew down from the now demolished roof.) I don't think this is Team Rocket you guys. They are way too organized and they wouldn't have figured out that those mega stones were fakes. At Least not this fast. What are we going to do?
Torrent just phased through the wall.
Torrent: Guys I don't know who these gunmen are but they either knew I was cloaked at the corner or they just love shooting at empty street corners. Ooh.
Torrent, Eagle Warrior and Gaia Knight examine the current state of Phoenix and realize that he won't be of any help in his current condition.
Torrent: Okay, we are now officially screwed. Our leader is down, there's a sniper out there and there's at least five vans full of gunmen ready to kill us once we leave this building. Oh yeah did I mention how screwed we are. Cuz we are so friggin screwed it's not even funny.
Thunderstorm: Hey, we all know that Phoenix has a healing factor so he'll eventually get back up, but before then let's do what we came here to do. Let's kick some bad guys asses and look cool doing it.
Gaia Knight: He's right. We can't give up yet. We're all still kicking so let's show them what happens when you mess with a Sacred Knight. First Let's deal with that sniper. Eagle, If I draw his fire can you see where his shot came from?
Eagle Warrior: I might be able to sense the displacements in the air and find where they originated from.
Thunderstorm: That's great then I can run towards them and take him out of commission.
Wicked Shadow: Then we'll only have the gunmen to deal with. Gaia, if you draw their fire then Torrent and I could get behind them and to surround them instead.
Torrent: Well that plan might be able to get us unscrewed, but what are we going to do about Sleeping Beauty here. (Torrent gestured to the still unconscious Phoenix.)
Thunderstorm: As much as it pains me for the time being we're going to have to leave him here for now, but as soon as we take these guys out we're getting back here and booking it with Phoenix.
Gaia Knight: Sounds like a plan then. Well let's get into position and this time we're not going to fail. (Gaia Knight walked to the entrance of the building with Torrent and Eagle Warrior following behind him. With Thunderstorm and Wicked Shadow staying behind.)
Thunderstorm: You coming? (Thunderstorm asked Wicked Shadow)
Wicked Shadow: Yeah, I'll be right behind you. I'm just going to make sure that Phoenix is secure. (Thunderstorm went to the others while Wicked Shadow secured Phoenix as best as she could in the rubble.) Don't die on me. We'll be right back with you. (Wicked got up, but before she grouped with the others she kneeled down to give Phoenix a quick kiss on the cheek) I promise.
-Back with Shadow Knight
Team Iron Grunt: (Over coms) Sir, should we start blasting our way inside the building?
Shadow Knight: No, I can still see their heat signatures and a small drone of mine has a visual on them. They're about to attack from the front. Be ready for anything and make sure the speedster comes to me. I know how to take him out as efficiently as possible at the moment.
Team Iron Grunt: (Over coms) Yes sir. Men get ready to fire, the enemy is coming our way and direct the speedster in Shadow Knight's direction.
-Inside the building
Gaia Knight: Okay Team. Let's take these guys down. (Gaia Knight walks out of the building and forms a stone wall on his right side giving him cover, but the sniper is located on his left and gets a clear shot and fires. The shot hits Gaia Knight right in his arm, but he is still standing relatively unharmed)
Eagle Warrior: I've sensed it, the sniper is located somewhere between 12 to 16 buildings down to the left on the other side of the street.
Thunderstorm: Bout time. I'm going to make this guy pay for what he's done. (Thunderstorm runs out in the direction of the sniper ready to confront him.)
Eagle Warrior: Okay, I'll aid Gaia Knight. You two get onto flanking these guys while we draw their fire.
Wicked Shadow: We're on it. Come on Torrent. (The two phases through the wall to the next building.)
-Thunderstorm confronting the sniper
Thunderstorm runs to where he believes the sniper is and is confirmed when the sniper fired another shot that Thunderstorm was just able to dodge
Thunderstorm: I admit you're a good shot, but no one can hit a target that moves as fast as I can.
Thunderstorm runs up the building to find that no one's there, but a sniper rifle. He then hears commotion coming from behind the building and sees a dark figure.
Thunderstorm: There you are. (Thunderstorm gets down to ground level and runs full force at the figure, but when he gets to the figure he passes right through it. And to add insult to injury the ground was covered in spikes that are now punctured in Thunderstorm's feet. He isn't able to slow change his trajectory and crashes into a stone wall in the alley.) Ah. Usually when someone crashes into a wall they end up on the other side with an outline of their body in the wall. Not on the same side of a cracked wall.
Shadow Knight then appears in front of Thunderstorm and stands him up.
Thunderstorm: Dude what are you some sort of ninja. When did we start facing ninjas? (Thunderstorm then tries to strike with his right arm, but the sniper catches it and quickly breaks it.) We'll I guess if you can't play nice then I guess I'll have to show you why they call me Thunderstorm. (Thunderstorm releases electricity in his broken right arm to take down the sniper, but instead of going down the sniper instead punches Thunderstorm through the stone wall.) Welp at least I made it through the wall. (Thunderstorm then passed out.)
Shadow Knight: (Over coms) I just took down the speedster, send troops to contain him while I'll take care of the rest. (Shadow Knight heads to the fight in front of the building.)
-Back at the building entrance
Gaia Knight: Iron stone wall. (Gaia forms a dense stone wall around the entrance of the building guarding him and Eagle Warrior.)
Eagle Warrior: I hope that this is enough of a diversion for those two because I count about 23 gunmen out here firing at us. (Eagle warrior then stood above the wall to send an airstrike against a gunman sending him back and knocking him out.) Now it's 22.
Gaia Knight: We can handle these guys. Just stay behind me. (Gaia sent a piece of the wall that he made hurling towards the gunmen hitting two of them and knocking them out.) Now it's down to 20.
-With Wicked Shadow and Torrent
Wicked Shadow: Okay, we're behind them. Lets go.
Torrent: Wait. (He noticed one of the vans with the drivers door open and a brick.) I've got a better idea. Just give me a sec.
-Back at the entrance
Team Iron Grunt: Men break out the explosives to break their defenses. (He hears a car driving his way.) Wait, is that one of our vans? (The van drives through with the Team Iron gunmen just able to dodge out of the way, but are now out of formation)
Gaia Knight: Now that's one way to make an entrance. Let's get them. (Gaia got out from behind his cover and proceeded to punch out the nearest gunmen.)
Torrent: Didn't I tell you that I didn't need that water tank to be useful in a fight. (Torrent threw a knife at one of the gunmen taking him out.)
Wicked Shadow: Just make sure to bring at least some water next time and we won't give you a hard time Water Boy. (Wicked Shadow teased before sending a shadow ball at one gunman and getting her scythe ready in her hands.)
Torrent: I am so sick and tired of that nickname. (Torrent got his trident ready for battle.)
Eagle Warrior: We may win this fight after all. (Eagle Warrior got out from behind Gaia's stone wall and focused on the troops in front of him, but didn't notice the figure behind him.)
An Item was thrown behind Eagle Warrior and before he could react he was ensnared in wires tying his arms up. Before he could call for help from his teammates the wires emitted an electrical surge that knocked him out. His teammates noticed Eagle Warrior's current state when he hit the ground, knocked out.
From behind Eagle Warrior a figure in black armor emerged. A katana can be seen sheathed behind his back and he wore a black metal mask covering his face and had two eye slits that glowed red.
Gaia Knight: Who's that guy?
Torrent: I don't know, but I'm going to take him out. You guys take care of the rest of these guys in the meantime. (Torrent ran toward Shadow Knight while Gaia Knight and Wicked Shadow stayed behind to deal with the remaining Team Iron grunts.) Thousand Knives Rain. (Torrent was able to form multiple knives in the air and lunged them toward Shadow Knight.)
Shadow Knight: Interesting. (Shadow Knight pulled out one of his own knives and was able to block every knife that was heading his way.) It seems that all of you are capable of forming weapons at will. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.
Torrent: The only future that you'll have will be in the hospital when I send your comatose ass there permanently. (Torrent ran at Shadow Knight with his trident in hand. Shadow Knight pulled out his gun and fired at Torrent, but he went intangible and phased through Shadow Knight and about to stab him in the back.)
Shadow Knight: Predictable. (A cloud of smoke emerged from Shadow Knight's feet covering him in smoke. Torrent lunged his trident in the smoke, but when the smoke settled Shadow Knight grabbed the trident and pulled Torrent toward him. Shadow Knight grabbed Torrent and the trident fell out of his hand.) Lets see how tough you are now. (Shadow Knight tried to grab Torrent's trident, but his hand phased through the trident.) Interesting. Looks like anyone making physical contact with you will also become intangible with you and you can't stop it from happening.
Torrent: Shut up creep. (Torrent summoned one of his knives and tried to stab Shadow Knight, but Shadow Knight grabbed his hand and pulled Torrent close to deliver a devastating headbut and punched Torrent in the face, sending him back.)
Shadow Knight: (Shadow Knight noticed that Torrent was now dazed and grabbed the trident on the ground and proceeded to stab Torrent in the leg with his own trident.) Looks like you need complete concentration to use your abilities. That's good to know for understanding how your powers are able to function.
Team Iron Grunt: Sir, the big guy in green is tearing through our forces. What do we do?
Shadow Knight: Put a shock collar on this one and secure him along with the one dressed in white and the one that's still in the building. I'll take on the big guy. I believe his name is Gaia Knight.
Torrent: Like hell I'd let you … (A Team Iron grunt tazed Torrent) AUGH! (Torrent was knocked out and the grunt put a shock collar around Torrent's neck.)
Team Iron Grunt: You heard the boss. Group A secure the unconscious hostiles, group B gather any of our wounded and group C keep the purple hostile preoccupied while the boss takes care of the big guy.
-Inside the building
Team Iron Grunt 1: Okay so where is this guy exactly?
Team Iron Grunt 2: There he is. Ooh. It looks like that was the guy who suffered the booby trap at the door. (The grunt gestured to the still unconscious Phoenix)
Team Iron Grunt 1: Hah. Booby.
Team Iron Grunt 2: Dude. There's a dead body five feet from us and you're laughing at a lame joke. What are you six?
Team Iron Grunt 1: Hey dude I'm just trying to enjoy life when I can. I mean we're in a group fighting another group that steals pokemon from kids who use them to fight other kids' dangerous pokemon with no adult supervision whatsoever. I'm just trying to laugh whenever I can get a chance to laugh.
Team Iron Grunt 2: Yeah, our world is kind of messed up. Whelp at least let's take this corpse back to base so the boss can experiment on it or whatever. (The two grunts grabbed Phoenix and took him to one of the vans and drove off.)
-In front of the building
Gaia Knight: Wicked, where's the rest of our team? (Gaia Knight punched out another grunt.)
Wicked Shadow: I don't know. Did Torrent take out that one guy yet and where's Thunderstorm? He should have been done with that sniper already. Are we the only two left? (Wicked Shadow got behind one of Gaia Knight's stone walls.)
Bang. A shot from one of Shadow Knight's pistols shot Gaia Knight right in the throat. Gaia Knight grabbed his throat, but the wound wasn't a deadly one.
Gaia Knight: Okay, that's it. I'm sick and tired of this guy. Wicked cover me while I take this guy out. He's taken out enough of us and it's going to end right now. (Gaia Knight summoned his hammer in his hands ready to fight.)
Wicked Shadow: I don't like this, but I don't see any other choice. I'll cover you. Just take this guy out as soon as you can. (Wicked Shadow sent another Shadow Ball aimed at the remaining grunts.)
Gaia Knight ran with his arms covering his head toward Shadow Knight who opened fire on Gaia, but his shots didn't seem to be as effective. When Gaia got close he swung his hammer towards Shadow Knight, but he was able to dodge out of the hammer's way. Shadow Knight smacked Gaia Knight in the head with the but of his gun, but Gaia took this opportunity to grab Shadow Knight and thrust him into a wall. Gaia Knight tried to Punch Shadow Knight in the head, but Shadow was once again able to dodge Gaia's attack and Gaia's fist went through the stone wall. Shadow Knight took this opportunity to bring his legs up and push Gaia away from him.
Shadow Knight: I admit, you're definitely more challenging than your team mates. What am I up to three of your team mates? Well four if you count that one who fell for the trap at the door, but that one was so easy I don't want to count him. (Gaia grew enraged from Shadow's words)
Gaia Knight: No one talks about my friends that way. Earth Spears! (Gaia formed multiple pieces of stone that looked like spears in the ground heading to Shadow Knight. However, Shadow Knight leaped into the air and fired a grappling hook from his arm to the street light so he was now directly above Gaia Knight. Shadow Knight threw multiple shurikens down onto Gaia Knight who formed the stone from the street to cover him from the shurikens. The stone protected him from the shurikens, but not from the explosives that detonated, dealing a great blow to Gaia.)
Shadow Knight: Time to take this guy out. (Shadow Knight rushed toward Gaia Knight with a knife in one of his hands and having some other item in his other hand. Just as when Shadow Knight was about to reach Gaia Knight he spoke.)
Gaia Knight: Fist of Gaia! (Gaia threw a punch with his fist covered in stone and landed it on Shadow Knight's helmet shattering it and sending Shadow back with him dropping his knife.) It's over. Your tyranny ends right now. (Gaia grabbed his hammer and was about to strike Shadow Knight, but Shadow Knight attached a flash bang to Gaia's chest and it went off stunning him.) Augh!
Shadow Knight got up and unsheathed the katana on his back and striked Gaia Knight. Gaia attempted to strike back, but missed due to his current blindness. Shadow Knight took this moment to unleash a barrage of sword strikes on Gaia Knight which eventually drew blood. Once Shadow Knight knew that Gaia was in a weakened state he got behind Gaia and grabbed him to deliver a suplex which ended with Gaia's head smashing to the ground that knocked him out.
Shadow Knight: That was more challenging than I would have thought. (He felt toward his face realizing that his helmet was destroyed in the fight.) Man, I liked that helmet. Well at least my Identity is still covered. (Shadow said, referring to the small black mask that was over his eyes.)
Team Iron Grunt: Sir, we have only one target left. Should we get the men to surround her and open fire?
Shadow Knight: No, I'll deal with this last threat. Just make sure that your men have this guy extra secure. I don't want to have to deal with this guy a second time tonight. (Shadow Knight went toward Wicked Shadow, the last Sacred Knight currently conscious.)
-In the van containing Phoenix
Team Iron Grunt 1: So the guy came up to me and asked me who my favorite porn star was and I was like dude. We're close, but where not let's talk about who our favorite porn star is close.
Team Iron Grunt 2: So that is why you quit your job and decided to join Team Iron?
Team Iron Grunt 1: Well it was more so that I could get out more and stay in better shape, but yeah this job definitely has less weirdos than my previous job. I mean in that job everyone actually went on about their favorite porn stars for a good thirty minutes.
Phoenix started to regain consciousness in the back of the van realizing the situation that he's in. He quietly got up and teleported to the front of the van and kicked the driver out of the van. Phoenix got in the driver's seat and before the passenger realized what happened Phoenix blew him out of the van with a fireball.
Phoenix: Okay, one minute I was starting my first mission with my team and now I'm in a stolen van belonging to Team Iron. Please let everyone else be having a better time at the moment than I am.
-Back with the other Sacred Knights
Team Iron Grunt: Okay, we have 4 of these super powered individuals secured in the van. Head out and we'll have another van take the last one once the boss deals with her. (The van was heading off with Thunderstorm, Eagle Warrior, Torrent and Gaia Knight inside.)
Wicked Shadow: No! I refuse that you thugs will take my friends away. (Wicked Shadow was about to send out another shadow ball, but some wire grabbed her arm before she was able to release her shadow ball.)
Shadow Knight: Get Over Here! (Shadow Knight pulled the grappling hook that he attached to Wicked Shadow pulling her toward him. Once when she got close to him he kicked her in the gut, sending her back.)
Wicked Shadow: Shadow Chain Prison! (Wicked Shadow summonmed shadow chains that wrapped around Shadow Knight keeping him trapped. However, he activated his electrified gauntlet fins, breaking out of Wicked Shadow's chains and ready to strike.) Shadow Claw. (Wicked Shadow forced a big shadow claw over her right hand ready to strike, but Shadow Knight threw an explosive shuriken at the clay destroying the shadow and sending Wicked Shadow back with part of her mask tearing off from the explosion.)
Shadow Knight: It's over, you're the last one standing and you can't do anything to save your teammates.
-Back to Phoenix in the van
Phoenix: Come on. How long was I out to get this far away from where the mission started. (Phoenix then noticed a van passing by him with a driver in the same uniform that the two Team Iron grunts were wearing. Phoenix made a U turn to catch up with the van and threw a fireball at one of the tires causing it to crash.)
Once the vehicle crashed two gunmen came out of the back and two gunmen came out of the front of the van. They took aim at Phoenix's van, but before they were able to fire Phoenix teleported behind the driver of the van. While everyone else was shooting at the van Phoenix knocked out the driver of the van. After everyone was done unloading their assault rifles they noticed Phoenix by the driver side door with the now unconscious driver.
Phoenix: Sun Bomb. (Phoenix fired a focused ball of fire at the gunman at the passenger side door before he was able to pull out his pistol. Phoenix got up onto the roof of the van and started running at the two gunmen at the back. They opened fire at the roof of the van, but Phoenix teleported in between the two gunmen. He pointed both of his hands at the gunmen and released a sun bomb at the two of them knocking them out.
Torrent: Bout time that you finally did something. (Torrent's words drew Phoenix's attention.) Now for the love of God get us out of these chains and collars. (Torrent gestured to the chains around everyones arms and legs and the electric dollars on everyone's necks, but Thunderstorm's)
Phoenix: You guys, yeah I'll get you out of there. (Phoenix summoned his fire swords to break his teammates' restraints.)
Thunderstorm: Thanks for saving us man. I'd hug you, but I currently have a broken arm and these guys didn't take the spikes out of my feet.
Eagle Warrior: Wait, how did you know that we were in the van? You couldn't have possibly seen us from the outside of the van.
Phoenix: Well if I'm being honest I didn't know that you guys were in the van when I attacked the van. Sorry. (Phoenix tried to look as apologetic as he possibly could.)
Torrent: You bastard. You could have killed us. (Torrent said angrily.)
Gaia Knight: At Least we're free now. Who knows what horrible things would have happened to us if we were truly taken.
Phoenix: Speaking of which. What happened to you guys? How south did the mission go? And where's Wicked Shadow?
Torrent: Well as you can see we're currently shit, the mission has gone to shit an I don't give a shit about what they're doing to your stupid crush. So let's get while we still have the chance.
Gaia Knight: What he means is that some guy there knocked us all out and captured us and is probably dealing with Wicked as we speak so we should go back and save her.
Torrent: With what army. I have a leg wound and a smashed head. You have a bunch of cuts and a different head wound. Thunderstorm has a broken arm and feet full of spikes.
Thunderstorm: I'm just a tanktop and a skyscraper away from living Die Hard at this point. (Thunderstorm was pulling out the spikes that were lodged in his feet.) Also, I Kool Aid Maned through a brick wall earlier too.
Torrent: And Eagle is relatively unharmed since he went down instantly.
Eagle Warrior: I got electrocuted.
Phoenix: Look, we just have to drive back, I'll teleport Wicked out of there and then we can drive away with Wicked and I giving covering fire for a clean getaway. Then we can finally end this night.
Torrent: Good plan, but who's going to be driving, again two head injuries and a broken arm. We don't have anyone else who can possibly drive.
Phoenix: Didn't you say one of you guys were relatively unharmed. (Phoenix gestured to Eagle Warrior.)
Eagle Warrior: No way. I don't even have my learners permit yet and you want me to drive in an area full of guys with assault weapons. Do you want me to die of a heart attack?
Phoenix: Eagle no one's in any shape to drive or to grab Wicked. So you can either stay in the car and drive it or you can fly out into an area full of gunmen to grab Wicked. The choice is yours and I won't take leaving wicked behind as an answer.
Eagle: This night really does suck.
-Back with Wicked Shadow and Shadow Knight
Shadow Knight: Now are you going to go peacefully or am I going to have to show you that escape is inevitable? (Shadow Knight raised his pistol in his hand and pointed it at Wicked Shadow.)
Wicked Shadow: I'll never give up. (Wicked got up and looked directly at Shadow Knight. However, they both looked stunned looking at one another with the two of them standing still. Neither one of them even makes an attempt to move to end the fight.
Team Iron Grunt: Sir, we have all of our men rounded up. Is she taken care of or do you need assistance dealing with her? (Shadow Knight gets back to his senses, but before he is able to give a command one of Team Iron's vans drives down the street with it's horn honking. The side door opens up revealing Phoenix, but before they could react he teleported right next to wicked.)
Phoenix: She's coming with me. (Phoenix grabbed Wicked Shadow and teleported back into the van where all of the Sacred Knights were inside of.
Thunderstorm: Hey, welcome to the party bus or I guess the party van in this case. Either way the party's dead here so let's get to someplace a little better say our home base.
Wicked Shadow: Thanks for the save you guys, but wait? (Wicked looks to see that Phoenix, Thunderstorm, Torrent, and Gaia Knight were all in the back of the van.) If all of you guys are back here, who's driving the van?
Eagle Warrior: It's me. Or atleast me until my anxiety from driving kills me that is.
Wicked Shadow: I didn't know you knew how to drive Eagle.
Torrent: He doesn't. So instead of being killed by gunmen or ninjas, we're going to get killed from Eagle's driving.
Gaia Knight: Hey don't listen to him Eagle. You're driving perfectly fine.
Eagle Warrior: Thanks for the encouragement Gaia, but can one of you tell me how I can escape multiple vans with gunmen chasing us! (Eagle said, bringing attention to the vans following behind them.)
-A few moments ago with Shadow Knight
Team Iron Grunt: No! They're escaping. Men, go after that truck and take them down. Boss, can you use that sniper rifle of yours to shoot out their engine or something. I know that your rifle is strong enough to take out our van's engine. (The vans were hedging out to chase after the van containing the Sacred Knights.)
Shadow Knight: Yeah. (Shadow Knight used his grappling hook to get on top of the highest roof and grabbed his sniper rifle. He took aim at the Sacred Knight's van and had a clean shot at the van's engine, but he didn't pull the trigger. Instead he looked at the still open door of the van to see Wicked Shadow's inside. Shadow Knight puts down his sniper rifle.) I don't have any angle on the van. They're too far away. You guys are on your own. And remember, I want them alive. Not dead. I repeat I want them alive.
-Back with the Sacred Knights
Eagle Warrior: Which way do I go? I don't exactly know how to outrun vans full of people trying to kill us.
Thunderstorm: Listen here Eagle. Turn on your left turn signal and swerve left, but actually go right. We'll lose at least some of them for sure.
Torrent: You don't actually believe that they'll fall for that do you?
Thunderstorm: Come on. It'll be just like bullfighting. Just a little misdirection will lead them where we want them to go which is anywhere that isn't on our tail.
Phoenix: Just give it a shot, Eagle. We don't have anything to lose.
Torrent: Speak for yourself Mr. I can survive any wound. The rest of us can still die from mortal wounds. Like Eagle crashing the van.
Eagle Warrior: Look, I'll do my best losing them, but we'll need a way to actually lose them eventually. (Eagle Warrior turned on the vans left turn signal and swerved left, but ultimately turned right. The two leading vans fell for the diversion and lost some distance from the Sacred Knights, but the third van wasn't far behind.)
Torrent: I don't believe it. Thunderstorm was right. Well, looks like nothing's making sense tonight.
Thunderstorm: Ole. Phoenix, remember this for future reference for when you decide who'll be your second in command.
Phoenix: Noted, but we still have one straggler still tailing us. I'll deal with the guys that are still following us. The rest of you ditch this van and get back to home base. Can you guys do that? (Phoenix looked at everyone for reassurance.)
Wicked Shadow: We'll be fine. Just don't get captured by those guys. Also watch out for the guy wielding the katana. He was the reason that the mission went so horribly in the first place.
Thunderstorm: Yeah, that guy is tricky. Also, he's pretty handy with a sniper rifle as well so be ready to dodge or get behind cover.
Phoenix: Got it. (Phoenix opened the side door of the van.) Just stay safe. Stick together and I'll meet you guys back home where we'll probably call a medic or two to help. (Phoenix jumped out of the van with his two fire swords in his hands.) Come and get it.
The gunmen in the van opened the side door and opened fire at phoenix, but phoenix quickly teleported to the otherside of the van and used his swords to cut the van's tires. The van lost control and stopped shortly after on the side of the road. Phoenix noticed that the other two vans were catching up and knowing that they would most likely pass him, he knew that he had to stop them right now.
Phoenix: Flame Decimation Wave! (Phoenix made a wall of fire across the street blocking the vans path. The two vans stopped and now all of the gunmen inside of the three vans came out and were ready to fire. Phoenix teleported next to the gunmen near the crashed van and commenced knocking them out.
The rest of the gunmen held their fire not wanting to fire on their own. Once when there was only one gunman left in the group Phoenix pushed him back toward the other gunmen using him as a human shield. When Phoenix got close enough to the group of gunmen he pushed the gunmen he was using as a shield towards the group of gunmen.
Phoenix: Dragon Kick. (Phoenix lunged forward with his foot covered with flames hitting one of the gunmen and pushing him back into another one knocking the both of them out. Phoenix had both of his fire swords in hand and was ready to deal with the remaining gunmen, but before he could proceed a gunshot from a sniper rifle came shooting Phoenix in the shoulder.) Augh. (Phoenix dropped the sword that he had in his right hand and teleported behind a parked car in the area.)
Team Iron Grunt: Yes sir, I got it. That guy is behind that car over there. Smoke him out. (The gunmen started firing on the car causing Phoenix to teleport to a third floor balcony across the street to escape danger.) Got it. He's now on the balcony up there. Shoot him down. (The gunmen once again fired on Phoenix causing him to teleport behind something covered in a tarp.)
Phoenix: How do they keep finding me? (Phoenix realized that the sniper who shot him must have had a thermal scope and told the other gunmen of his location. That way once the gunmen got him out of cover he'd be easy pickings without knowing where the sniper was. Furthermore, he was still healing from that last shot that nearly tore his arm off so fighting these guys and finding where the sniper was wouldn't be likely in his current condition.)
Team Iron Grunt: He's over there men. Let's get him. (Phoenix knew that he had to do something fast, but when he got up he saw what the tarp was covering. It was a large propane tank. If that blew that would cover his heat signature, but where'd he go after that. Then, Phoenix saw a sewer lid and had an Idea.)
Phoenix: Well, I'm all out of ideas. Sun Bomb. (Phoenix sent the fireball toward the sewer lid right before the gunmen fired at him. Seconds later the gunfire caused the propane tank to blow causing a big explosion causing the gunmen to cease their fire.)
Team Iron Grunt: Was that him? (The gunmen moved up, but they didn't see any visuals of their target.) Boss, do you have a visual? Boss?
Shadow Knight: He's gone. (Shadow Knight appeared next to the team iron grun.) He escaped through the sewers as you can see. (Shadow Knight gestured to the open sewer grate.)
Team Iron Grunt: Should we go after him? Or should we go after the others in the stolen van?
Shadow Knight: Neither, The sewers are too large and his teleportation will make it so he'll get away quickly. Besides, he'd probably just pick your men off one at a time down there anyway. Regarding the others the van's GPS has stopped moving so they've probably ditched the van and are in some plain clothes by now.
Team Iron Grunt: So this was a failure?
Shadow Knight: On the contrary. We've now learned that there are people with these enhanced powers and thanks to you and your men I now know what they're capable of performing. Therefore, the next time that we'll go after them we'll be better prepared by knowing what to expect. So no, I wouldn't call this mission a failure. Just information for a future victory. Gather all of the men up and head back to base and report everything that has happened tonight. (Shadow Knight then stepped into the shadow's where he disappeared from the gunmen's sight.)
Team Iron Grunt: Yeah I'm fine thanks for asking. I don't even think that guy is even human to begin with.
-Earlier with the Sacred Knights in the van after Phoenix left
Eagle Warrior: Okay, so now what do we do?
Torrent: Well obviously we should ditch this van as soon as possible. They could have a GPS locator or something tracking us.
Gaia Knight: Yeah, but does anyone still have any plain clothes for us to change into so we don't draw attention to ourselves. (Everyone realized that they didn't have any plain clothes and if they did it would be troublesome to change with their injuries.)
Wicked Shadow: Wait, Eagle pullover. I have an Idea. (Eagle Warrior pulled over and Wicked Shadow pointed out the side door of the van.) Someone left their blankets on the clothesline. We could use them to cover our suits.
Gaia Knight: Wouldn't that be stealing? I don't think that it would be right if we…
Torrent: Bad news guys. They only had three blankets over there so some of us are going to have to share. (Everyone looked at Torrent.) What? There could be gunmen after us trying to kill us right now and you're worried because someone might be missing some blankets. Put these on and let's get out of here. (Torrent threw the other two blankets into the van.)
Thunderstorm: Come on Gaia. (Thunderstorm picked up a blanket.) If it would make you feel better I would buy these people all new blankets tomorrow. New, cuz we're probably going to get some blood on these. (Thunderstorm and Gaia Knight covered themselves in one of the blankets. Wicked Shadow picked up the third one covering herself in it. Eagle Warrior got out of the driver seat and went to grab a blanket.)
Torrent: Come on let's go. (Torrent tried to walk, but his previous leg injury kicked in, but Eagle Warrior caught him before he could fall.)
Eagle Warrior: Are you Okay?
Torrent: I'm fine. You're lucky that you didn't have to fight that guy in the black armor.
Eagle Warrior: Yeah, I'll help you on our way back. (Eagle Warrior got under the cover with Torrent.)
From there the group walked back to the van they drove here in. Once there they saw Phoenix walking, but they noticed that he was covered in some sort of sludge.
Thunderstorm: Phoenix, I'm so glad that you made it buddy. (Thunderstorm started to walk toward Phoenix, but quickly took a step back once he smelled his friend.) Man, where have you been? You smell worse than. You smell so bad that I don't know what to compare you to. Where have you been man?
Phoenix: Let's just say that sewers aren't as clean as the Movies make them out to be. That and there were so many Muks down there that it wasn't even funny. Whelp. Let's go home, clean up and report to Overlord that the mission didn't go nearly as planned. (Everyone had a sad look on their faces.) Yeah tonight really did stink. (Everyone got back into the van with everyone in the back sitting away from Phoenix.)
Thunderstorm: I can't believe it. A chapter all about us and it's a total loss. I also can't believe that this chapter was longer than the last one. (They drove back to the hotel.)
