Two years had passed two years in a home that showed they needed her , as Claudia found out Artie has a lot of traveling work and Leena usually stays with them , she became friends with them all but her and Steve are the closest
"Claudia was studying in the living room when Steve came up to her
"Hey want some help? "He asked
"Steve we both know i don't , whats up?" She responded
"Its just , tomorrow is the anniversary and i wanted to know what you were doing?" He replied looking at the ground , in the last two years Claudia had found out everything all the other kids

Pete 16: After his father died his mother put herself back to work and after a work trip she was never seen again , Pete and his sister were split up since she had a Disability and he didn't, he was in the system for a year until ending up at Artie's

Myka 15 :Her parents just left one day , they're still alive and they have her sister with them , they just left her here and she was in the system for 7 months before ending up at Artie's

Helena 14 : Her parents and brother all passed and left her in America by herself since she had no one else to take care of her she had been in the system for a year , she ended up at Artie's after Myka and Pete

Steve 15 : when he was 9 He watched his older sister get shot protecting him when he was 11 his mother went crazy and wasn't fit to care for him he was in the system for 5 months before ending up at Artie's

Leena 18 :she was put up for adoption at the age of 12 going to good home after another , but according to her , she never belonged , she knew she was meant to be somewhere else but not sure where it was , until she ended up at Artie's 5 months after he had left Claudia

Tomorrow is the anniversary of Steve's sisters death

"well how about we get some candy and pop and stuff then go watch a movie marathon " Claudia said as she finished her work "Lets go ask Artie if we can go into town "She said grabbing his hand and leading him away

"No i don't think we should bother him right now he could be working and i don't want to bother him "Steve said

"i think he should be fine i mean he can't be mad at us really? "Claudia reasoned as they walked into the office he worked at when Artie was at home

"Hey Artie ?"She asked as innocently as she could "Yes child , what do you need?" He responded not looking at them

"Can i have 20 dollars?" She asked with Steve tugging her arm and telling her quietly to 'Stop'

"Why do you need 20 dollars? , oh hello Steve "He said finally looking up "Why do you need money?"

"Because , Steve and i are going to have a Movie marathon and we need snacks "She said excitedly

"Where do you plan on getting these snacks?" He asked

"by going to town and buying them "She said

"no you can't have 20 dollars to buy most likely candy "He said going back to his work

"Come on Artie , please , tomorrow is a special day and we need snacks "She pleaded

"I said no , now go and do something else "He said not paying attention

"Fine "She huffed and walked out of the room , still holding Steve's hand

"Well get your shoes on Steve , we are going on an Adventure "She said finally letting go to pull her converse on

"What do you mean ? Artie said we can't go to town "Steve said

"no he said we couldn't have money to buy candy , so i saw we go make our own money to buy treats "She said "Helena , Myka, Pete get down here "She yelled

"Why are you bringing them into this? we can go do something else , we don't have to watch movies "Steve said looking a bit worried

"Yes Claudia , what do you need ?"Helena asked holding the hand of some unknown girl with Myka and Pete behind her "Who is this?" Claudia asked

"Oh this is Jo , she was just stopping by "Helena said with a blush in her face

"Oh yea? , because i was in the living room for about two hours and i never heard or saw the door open

"Claudia did you call here for a reason or just to tease Helena? "Pete asked

"Oh right , we need to get to town and buy snacks for tomorrow" She said "And i need Helena of you to come with me and Steve and you two to stay and distract Artie "

"Why do we need to distract him? "Myka asked "Because he shouldn't work as much as he does and its killing him , you need to distract him so he stops working but doesn't notice we are gone "Claudia said with a smirk

"hey wait, why does Helena get to go and we have to stay here? "Pete asked

"Because you two are more likely to fight than any of us "Claudia explained

"Fine "Myka and Pete said simultaneously

"Alright give me a minute then we will go "Claudia said running up stairs and into Leena and Myka's room

"Hey Leena , just wanted you to know , Steve Helena and I are going into town to get snacks for tomorrow i was wondering if you could make cookies too? "Claudia asked

"Yea sure , i don't mind, does Artie know you're going into town? "Leena questioned

"Yes , and he is busy working so don't bother him , bye see you later "Claudia said walking out and going to her room grabbing money and going back down stairs

"You lied to Leena" Steve said

"Yea i know but i will buy her favorite snack and tell her when we get back i promise "She said "Now lets go before we get in trouble "Claudia said as she grabbed Helena and Steve's hands and walked out the door

25 minutes later

"Alright so what are we getting and why? "Helena asked "We are getting Some candy and some snacks for tomorrow "Claudia said letting go of their hands "ok so we need some snacks , twizzlers and popcorn for Myka , Skittles and chips for Pete , Sour patch kids and pretzels for Leena , Gumdrops and fries for Helena , Sweet tarts and Fish crackers for Steve and Gushers and also Popcorn for me "Claudia said "Meet back here in fifteen minutes so we can pay and go "

"Wait , what about Artie? "Helena asked

"I have Leena making cookies and we are going to bring some chips for him too "

40 minutes later

"Alright we got the stuff and all we have to do is sneak back inside and avoid "Claudia was interrupted

"Oh.. uh... hi Artie , what are you doing out of your office? "Claudia said nervously

"Well i finished about 20 minutes ago and thought i would take you guys to town to get your stuff , but when i came out and asked where you were , Pete and Myka got into a fight about the truth , Myka said you guys were upstairs and Pete said you were in the backyard and i checked you both weren't there , so i asked Leena , and she said you went into town so i will aske one time , did you get me anything? "Artie asked

"Well i asked Leena to bake cookies , and if not i have chips for you "Claudia said "Or you could share my gushers with me "

"Well Leena did make cookies , what is all this for exactly "He asked

"Tomorrow is the anniversary of Olivia's death so Claudia took me to the store to get stuff for a movie marathon "Steve said standing in front of her and Helena "Don't yell Claudia yell at me "

"Oh right , that's why you wanted all this , alright tomorrow we watch all the movies you guys want and we will eat all the snacks and sugar you guys want ok?, listen Steve ,I'm sorry i forgot i was so busy with the war-work with my work that i didn't add up the days and I'm sorry "Artie said

"Well lets get this stuff put away and get ready for tomorrow "Said Helena

the next day they watched all the marvel movies and some of the Harry potter ones and Steve had to admit this family he had , was pretty good , as he sank deeper into the couch
