Age 7-

"That was a fast run Elaina. I see you've been running out of school too. Trying to impress boys huh?"

God Elaina hated this woman. Ever since Izuku had started going to his dojo she also had started her desperate run for gaining as much stamina as she could. She did swim in the afternoon, ran 10 kms before school with Izuku and practised spells at home with her mother.

There were few days when she didn't collapse into bed like a zombie. She had set a goal and was dead set on achieving it. But there was a problem. It was all too goddamn repetitive. Elaina, quite humbly, knew that she was a genius. Bakugou had yet to even once take her number one position since she had started attending their shared school. All spells that she tried she got in one go. Her mother told her no once in forever could manage that feat.

And she had to get the one quirk where her intellect meant bull crap. Okay that's an overstatement, but it was true that it didn't make it easier. Gaining stamina was an overwhelmingly tedious process and she had to do it everyday for atleast until she could use 2 S tier spells in a row.

That was a requirement set by her grandpa. If she didn't have that much he wouldn't allow her to enter UA. Now Elaina also knew that she could manipulate him into saying yes, but she didn't want to. She wanted to exceed his expectations not barely pass.

And that's why when she saw that there was a spot empty in the last race she took part in it again.

As she finished first, again, the PE sensei gave a look that gave her creeps again. As she turned she saw Izuku looking at her," Checking me out in the sun again Izuku, you truly have no shame". All she was wearing was the standard white t shirt and red shorts and she was 7 so there was nothing to see really.

But as always Izuku grew red as a tomato and sputtered. It was truly too easy for Elaina. "So how's the dojo going?" she conceded.

"W-Well Joshua sensei is awesome as always. We are going to now do both Arnis and Bojutsu as he thinks I'm trained enough in his style to start bojutsu. Ooh yeah he increased his consecutive word count to 4"

"Really? How? It hasn't increased from 3 in like 4 months. "

" I know right. He said ' very well done Izuku'"

"Wow, so has jiji been around lately? Came to the dojo?"

"Nope hasn't shown since 4 ago, remember that's when Joshua sensei said 'Izuku doing good' and we counted 3 words. How's the swimming going?"

"Its exhausting and annoying but Nejire sempai makes it fun. She asks me about you a lot, you should really come one day"

Izuku blushed " She probably wouldn't like me anyway. Also I'm kinda scared of her"

"Izuku and Elaina sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G" and that would be Tamaki. Tamaki was Elaina's only friend except Izuku and was a person who got into the clumsiest situations ever. Her "firecat" quirk was easily hero material and Elaina hoped to go to U.A with her one day.

"Hey, you know only I'm supposed to make Izuku blush" countered Elaina suppressing the heat that tried to invade her face.

"That was to make you blush Elaina-chan." Replied Tamaki, a bit annoyed that Elaina didn't rise to her bait. (Izuku did, and would probably blush for the rest of the school day)

"Yo nejire sempai"

"yo Elaina- chan"

"Stop calling me chan already I'm seven already" Elaina did not realise the hypocrisy of that statement.

"So Elaina chan what do you wanna do today?"

"Teach me the backstroke today sempai"

Nejire was Elaina's two year older sister-figure whom Elaina had met the first day she arrived to the pool. The blue haired girl had asked the white haired chibi so many questions that she still hadn't been able all of them.

They had a lot in common which was the reason they basically ignored almost everyone else at the pool, well Elaina did it wasn't physically possible for Nejire given the amount of questions she had. There quirks were also quite similar in the way that they ran on the same fuel- their stamina.

Elaina even owed her teasing habit to Nejire, who was a professional at the sport.

"So Elaina chan," Elaina recognised that tone," you been hanging out Izuku lately?"

"Yes Nejire senpai"

"Anything fun"

"No Nejire senpai"

Apparently Nejire sensed something in her tone and immediately grew focused," Tell me or I'll make you swim more"

"W-Well we did have a sleepover recently watched a movie, beat him at games and stuff"

Then came what Elaina expected and what annoyed her the most. A serene look overtook her sempai and she said nothing more that "Good good, my ship is out of the docks already"

She always said some kind of ship saying or whatever that was and dropped the topic. It was infuriating to the white haired girl, she hated not knowing stuff.

Suddenly a bulb went above Nejire's head," What are you doing for valentines Elaina-chan" she said in a voice frighteningly sweet.

"Nothing, as always" Elaina replied, puzzled.

"Well then lets make chocolates together for it"

"Ehhhhhh"

"Why is Tamaki here again?"

"Because I am the only one here that can actually make chocolates"

"Oh yeah"

The chocolate making was not going splendidly. Nejire's mother, surprisingly very quiet, had been kicked out of her kitchen and there was flour on the floor already. Which they had no use for in the first place but nejire took out just because.

Tamaki's appearance had made things more orderly at least. Now there was the issue of adding a flavour to the chocolate. Essentially all they were doing was melting pre made chocolate into new moulds so they decided to take on a challenge.

Elaina had already decided the flavour which was very sus(kill me)picious to the two. Nejire started," Why orange Elaina?"

Elaina twitched. "I just like orange." Tamaki countered "You like strawberry". "Sometimes I like orange" Nejire said," But this was a predetermined choice" "No it wasn't ". Nejire smelled blood in the water.

As Elaina poured the melted chocolate into moulds the two girls continued to annoy the white-haired girl. "Ok I'll tell you if you promise not to tease me about it"

They went silent and nodded," Go on"

Elaina sighed," Izuku likes orange flavoured chocolates."

….

Silence

….

Nejire snorted, then Tamaki snorted and then came the full blown laughter. Elaina grew red, then pouted and turned away. After they were able to stop laughing, they went to console her, "We knew silly. Who else do you even talk to?" At that Nejire realised that she should have not trusted Tamaki to speak.

"What she means is that we saw your affections for Izuku before now and we support you"

"It's not like I'm proposing or anything, but I just want to give this in case"

Nejire and Tamaki went silent. Then started crying. After the 5 minute crying session that ensured they went back to their chocolate making. Nejire's mother sent their crying photo to the other moms.

"It's not like I made it for you or anything"

That was not Elaina. It couldn't be right? As Izuku turned around he was relieved to see it wasn't, solely because he knew Elaina was anything but a tsundere. She was an open minded extrovert and had give him friendship chocolates every year. It was just some other girl from his class.

Ring.

And so the lunch hour was over. He wasn't shocked at the amount of chocolates he received, he was good acquaintances with all of the class. They respected him and were aware of his martial arts. Speaking of Elaina, he wondered what it would be like to receive romantic chocolates from her. That would be a moment he'd like to live forever. He was aware that he had a little crush on the girl, spending all time with someone outside of his martial arts training had made him aware of that fact.

But at his base he was a shy kid and couldn't do anything about it.

As always they were making their way back from school Izuku stopped at the point where he had to split to head to his dojo. He said goodbye and headed toward the bus stop. Suddenly he felt a weight on his back and his bag zipper opening. When he turned he saw Elaina's retreating back running away from him.

So as he sat on his bus for the dojo he munched on his valentine chocolate." mmm orange, my favourite"

Hope I handled Elaina's character well. just two chapters until I catchup with canon and can stop coming up with bs lol. Next chapter Izuku will be gaining a major powerup and will reveal to you all what i've based this story on.
