Rick is just standing there after Kate told him. That she was leaving him; he just couldn't believe it. He had his hands in his face just wondering where it all went so very wrong. He just trash the burn omelette in the trash. He walked over to his bedroom and was looking around. Kate had taken off her bracelet and her rings. That wasn't a very good sign, he just wanted to scream or cry. But that wouldn't help matters now or ever. He is going through his head of all of the memories wondering if Kate had really loved him. He was trying to find doubt, that she really cared about him and his family. But maybe he was wrong all along. Could Kate really wanna to be a wife. Then he knew that he would never be number one in her life. He had tried too hard to make her see that there was more to him. Then a playboy writer, he was just sitting there on the bed. He should have guess marrying Kate was a huge mistake. He got up from the bed, he got out a bag and started to pack his clothes, toiletries, his laptop and his cellphone. He had gotten into his car and drive away from the loft and it's bad memories all together. Rick had driven all night, he don't stop until he got to the hotel. He sleeps in all the day and the next morning he called his lawyer.
Rick hate to divorce Kate, but if someone don't truly love you. There wasn't a point in fighting no more, why should he continued to fight for something no one else wanted. There was no point, he was going to give Kate what she wanted. He knew that if the press got wind of it; he was going to be called a three time loser. But he would live with it; he always had in the past. Why couldn't he now, he had to get in with his life. He may never find love with a woman, who wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. He should have seen it; but he was too much of a fool. Well no longer would he be on the back burner of someone else happiness. It was time for him to start living for him. He got up and is taking a hot shower. He gets dressed and ready to start living his own life again. Rick got in his car and is driving again. He stop in the town were the mountains are. Rick saw a sign that said; houses for sale. Rick goes over to the place, he see a some houses. Rick couldn't believe how good the house's looked. He was looking around and he find it. The house is very private far away from neighbor 's and he could see how perfect. Rick walked through the house. He was going start living his life for himself starting now.
Back at the 12th precinct
Kate had arrived inside of her captain office. She takes her sit, is waiting for the new employee she had hired. Vikram just showed and is ready to work. Both of them are working together to bring down LocSat. Kate don't notice that, she was letting her work sip through her fingers. While everyone went home she and Vikram, were working very hard to find leads and getting nowhere. Kate is determine in bringing down LocSat, that she doesn't notice a courier clerks delivering a important message. Kate rip it open and see that Castle had filed for divorce. Then some keys, rings drop out revealing her two rings and Castle wedding band. There is a note inside it. "The loft is your. I don't want it anymore, have a good life Beckett." Kate holds the note close to her heart. She doesn't realize that her husband or soon to be ex-husband is gone. Kate has tears fallen down from her face. Kate tries to call him and after trying five times. He doesn't answer her; "he just has to wait is all. I will fixed everything after I take down LocSat." Kate is getting back to work. After that Kate, take her bags back to the loft. She had seen that it was dark inside. She turned on the light, she goes over to Rick office and finds nothing there.
Kate walked what was there bedroom. She walks over to the bed and falls face first on it. She is crying and sobbing, she hope that she would find Castle soon and explained her actions. Then everything would be okay, it always had been in the past so why not now. She had hope that after bringing down LocSat. That maybe both her and Castle could have a shot of having their own children. But if she finds any leads then, she could bring down everything and look like the hero. But unfortunately, what Kate don't know was, her trying to bring down LocSat would be the end of everything she would knew. Kate got up from the bed, walking over to the refrigerate for some of that good wine. She open it up; she was trying to figure out her next move. She would have to wait to find her husband, right now the only thing that matter is the LocSat case. She really wish that Castle had waited for her. He promised her always, he was breaking his promise to her. In the past when she had hurt him; he had always come back to her. Despite everything she put him through. Kate was drinking from the bottle, she is sitting there trying to come up with a plan. But first she really need a bath, that was the only thing that would help right now.
The Next Morning
Kate had gotten up early, she is leaving for the precinct. Kate don't know, how she could fix her marries to Castle. She needed to find him and bring him back home. Thinking that once she find him; that everything would be okay. Kate had arrived at work, she head towards her office. Kate is looking through ever piece of evidence, but so far there isn't any luck. LocSat may never get caught, but she wasn't going to give up. Not until, she gets justice for everyone. Esposito walked into her office, "hey boss, how everything going?" He asked her.
