Edd watched as the red headed man walked up steps closer, his arms crossed tight over his chest and his eyes looked almost aggravated with How dare Edward allow his wound to open back up. How dare he roll around in his sleep completely out of his control. But he gave a nervous, yet polite smile to him. Pale blue eyes only stay steady on the forest green orbs. His hat firm on his head and hid his own messy bed head. Luckily enough he had less of a care of his disheveled look with almost every ounce of energy drained from him the night prior. Yet he did try and jump out as those pale hands moved to quickly grab the wrist of his injured arm.
"What are you-" Edd started, only to get pulled in close suddenly, his body pressing almost against the red head's. Kevin's eyes narrowed into Edd's own. They didn't shift or change as Edd started to panic almost. "K-Kevin?" He questioned hesitantly. Pulling back even harder without thinking, but it felt like an iron cage around his skin. Unmoving and as cold as stone.
"You are going to make it worse, stay still." Kevin hissed out as he pulled him out of the guest room. It was obvious to tell Edd was starting to bleed through the bandages on his arm. It must have been frustrating for a creature that lives off of the very thing leaking from his wound. It only made Edd more nervous, but he knew that Kevin was right. So with a deep breath he gave in, following him much like a loyal dog. Or, well more like a dog being dragged behind an eager owner on a leash. Edd's fingers did slightly graze at the wrist on his own, not gripping it like the night before, but more to understand why it felt so off. He has never been so close to anything like Kevin. At least not for long enough to examine them.
This only granted him a look, confused and unsure. Edd retracted his hand very quickly, yet this didn't stop his march to the couch. Gently Kevin pushed him back onto the couch, so that he would hit the back of the soft surface with a slight oof noise. Edd was very much used to being the one to nag over wounds, not on the receiving end of such reprimand. He was too put together for that, he always had everything planned and perfect. This was well from his comfort zone.
"Will you just cooperate, seriously I am trying to help you here Edward." Kevin said with an annoyed tone. "I mean shit you're alive right? I already explained last night I wasn't going to hurt you"
"Well pardon my instincts to distrust someone who can scare off a crowd of men. Lest we also not forget that my arm is in shambles and I'm in pain which does not breed any sort of positive inclinations or feelings." Edd snapped back. He was not in the best mood with how sore his arm had become and Kevin was treating him like a child. Edward was a grown man. He could handle himself! At least that is what he has always done. Just him keeping things orderly and in place.
He sighed gently through his nose however, the bandages had been removed as he spoke out. Being almost completely ignored was aggravating, but the redhead seemed entirely focused on something else. His eyes almost glazed over in a day dream like state as he worked. He was trying not to think about the blood or the smell. He was doing everything in his power to keep himself focused. Which was a good thing for Edd in the long run. He didn't think he could handle more blood being taken from him. He may actually pass out at that point.
By the time everything was said and done Kevin pulled his hands away from the wound. Little bits of blood at the tips of his fingers. They stained his pale skin rather well. It was a stark contrast that those green eyes fixated on. Not that Edd had exactly noticed as he moved his arm a bit more. The muscles around the laser action were sore and painful. He hated the feeling but at least it would heal properly now. He hesitated before finally looking up at Kevin. Though a tongue was sliding back into his mouth and his fingers had been cleaned. Just a taste. That couldn't hurt anyone. Edd looked back at him so innocently, he didn't know what he had done.
"I know I have not been the most… gracious of guests. But I do want to say thank you for saving me last night." He said this with a smile that showed off the gap in his teeth and made Kevin's heart skip for just a moment. It wasn't fair the effect that had on him and the guilt that bubbled up from enjoying the taste of his blood. But Kevin leaned back against the couch and scoffed.
"Stop being so sappy you dork. You would have done the same if you could. Shit just wasn't right." Kevin spoke in a matter-of-fact sort of way. He did turn to him and raise a slight brow. "Do you have anyone that can come pick you up or do you need a lift home?"
