I Do Not own the rights to Kim Possible, any of the other characters from that show, nor those from other media I may reference.
In previous episodes I have referred to memories Charley has that she shouldn't have retained. But after some thought, I realized that that story thread really has no bearing on this story, it was just background over the whole 4 Seasons story arc.
Therefore, we will just consider the whole gang to have heard Charley's theory, which happens to be accurate, but unless someone pulls a pointless 'Terminator' style gambit, it represents no threat to their current lives.
Basically, if you read the final chapter of Four Seasons Summer, you will have read the Doctor explaining to an acquaintance that he unintentionally caused Kim, Shego and Charley to reappear several times in the future, with many elements of their lives echoing their current ones. Though even he isn't sure exactly how he managed it.(This is the Sylvester McCoy Doctor, for the record.)
Anyway, on to a hopefully more focused story.

The telling of Charley's story, though provocative, had left the collective members of Team Possible(plus Monique and Bonnie, who refused to be excluded) with the opinion that unless someone in the future tried a 'Terminator' move, they had nothing to worry about in the present. It would be futile for any such foe to try anyway, since the events they wished to change occurred on a no longer extant alternate Earth, and couldn't be changed on this one.
The debate which followed quickly ran aground on the rock that was their complete lack of understanding of temporal or dimensional physics. So the subject was dismissed in time for Ron to return to his apartment and get some sleep before Saturday's football clash between his Engineers and the GCU Gladiators.
Which, due to security concerns about endangering their fellow students, the girls again viewed on television, split between the ground floor and safehouse levels. Rufus, Fred and Saul, all stealthed, accompanied Ron to the game to keep watch. Roy and Ben took turns watching the babies and patrolling outside with Goldie and Walt. George and Vito were 'loaned' to Agent Houston to help keep an eye on the Gamma Libra sisters who attended the game, their video feeds being relayed to Teri Lensco in her 'lair'. That task was relatively simple since the girls were all seated together in one section, to endless grumbling on their part. Especially not being able to explain why to boyfriends, etc. .
Kim was first to settle in downstairs, and set up a small video screen on the snack table in front of her showing the feed from whichever one of the Boys was watching the babies at the moment. And was mildly surprised when Bonnie plopped down beside her, obviously to watch the same thing. The brunette noticed Kim regarding her quizzically and smiled.
"Believe it or not, babysitting for me was actually a vacation from being 'me'(With actual air quotes). I didn't have to put on any attitude, try and impress anyone, just act more like I did before I saw the cool girls from the higher grades and how popular they were and decided 'that's for me!'" Then she sighed. "This is probably going to cause you to lose faith in human nature , or something, but it was so hard to be Bonnie 'Queen B' Rockwaller sometimes!" Then she shook her head, "Not that some of it didn't come naturally, far too much did, but sometimes I just couldn't justify it to myself!" She paused thoughtfully, "But only when I was alone, I never had problems with it when I had an audience!"
"Well, not sure if it's a compliment or not, but you had me fooled!" Kim stated sincerely, but with a smile on her face.
Bonnie scoffed. "Well, not to offend, but you weren't the hardest audience I ever had, trust me! You did tend to put people in niches on first impressions when we first crossed paths, unless I'm mistaken?" She tensed a little as Kim frowned, but then shrugged.
"Guilty, I guess! I mean, I trusted a couple...like DNAmy. Unlike Ron's story, I knew Doctor Amy Hall for several months before I found out about her unique little hobby, and I liked her! And I admired Montgomery Fiske for I don't know how long before he became Monkeyfist. Though in that case I didn't meet him in person before I found out! I actually responded to his request for help with Doctor Director's blessing and support, hoping to find out what he was up to. And I can't tell you the real way Ron and Rufus were exposed to Mystical Monkey Power, beyond the fact you'd never believe me!"
A faint noise from their special baby monitor drew both of their focus for a minute as Amy showed signs of waking up. But she settled back down again. Then Bonnie looked at Kim again, chewing her lip, but then rolled her eyes and said, "Listen I have another problem...about Shego, actually."
She hesitated briefly as Kim's eyebrows rose, then plunged ahead and surprised the redhead. "It's about her brother dying, I...don't know whether to say anything, she may have had her fill of condolences, I didn't even know him, but...it's not the same in any way, but I had something like that happen to me, and..." She trailed off with a shrug.
Now Kim's confusion was very plain. "What happened? I mean, you don't...didn't...you had a brother?"
Bonnie grinned weakly. "Almost...when I was three, Mom got pregnant again, and...they eventually told me I was going to have a baby brother! I mean, I didn't understand really, how could I? But Mom and Dad were excited, so I was excited, too! Connie and Lonnie...the less said, the better!" She hesitated, gazing at Milly as the duty skull's view shifted to her, face sad. "But then Mom lost the baby...I didn't understand, I never knew him, so it's nowhere near the same as Shego!" She couldn't make eye contact as she finished, "So I don't know whether I should say anything! I would mean it, really, but with my well-deserved reputation..." Then she looked up and froze as her eyes zeroed in on something behind Kim.
Or rather someone, and it was hardly surprising for Kim to look around and find Shego standing there, a large bowl of fresh popcorn in her arms(it was a very large bowl), regarding Bonnie thoughtfully. The brunette tensed, but then Shego shrugged and moved to place the bowl in the middle of the previously delivered snacks. "Not the same, no, but it doesn't matter! And Thank You for your condolences! Now, let's get off that topic, Please and Thank You!" Kim's eyes widened in surprise, but she held her tongue.
Monique was the last of those watching downstairs to appear, dragging a large tub of ice containing several two-liter bottles of soda, and working up quite a sweat in the process. As she directed her very best glare at Shego, who duly ignored it, Kim and Bonnie both jumped up and went to help her.
And then came the dilemma as to where to put it. They were all sitting in the 'viewing pit' before the big screen, with the central table surrounded on three sides by the single couch with no breaks in it. Putting the heavy tub on the table was out of the question, even if there had been room, and placing it at the open end meant anyone fetching a bottle would block the others' view of the screen. So they placed it against the back of the couch where Kim and Bonnie had been sitting, with at least half the bottles within easy reach.
When Kim and Bonnie resumed there previous seats, Monique abandoned an exaggerated show of a sore back to frown slightly. She dropped it almost immediately with a shrug, but Bonnie caught it. "Problem?" She asked warily.
Monique shook her head, "Had been thinking that I could sit besides Kim to watch a game for the first time since Junior Year when she sprained her ankle too badly to cheerlead!" She then flopped down on the right 'arm' of the couch, opposite Shego, and stretched out in a reclining position. "But this has it's advantages, as well!" She declared smugly.
Kim suddenly looked up at the ceiling, frowning, before suddenly nodding to herself. "I guess I should thought of that before, but this place down here has to be fully soundproofed, doesn't it? I just wondered why I didn't hear the girls upstairs moving around!"
Shego smirked and nodded. "Yep, whoever Global meant to house down here had to be free to party if they wanted, had to keep them happy, after all!" A somewhat wicked grin crossed her features, "Which means I...or perhaps we, Princess? We can make all the noise we want without bothering anyone up above!" Her grin widened at the growing blush on the redhead's face, then vanished when she realized both Bonnie and Monique were looking at her in astonishment. "Oops! We may be about to test that soundproofing out!"

At that moment, Betty Director was having a conference in her office at the Global Justice base. Physically present were Abby Hogan and Graham Shields, who was now Betty's Deputy after formerly being the local Internal Affairs officer for GJ. Betty kept a surreptitious eye on the pair, who had a a brief 'fling' during the summer, though Abby assured her it had passed.
Present on two of the video screens were a senior FBI official, Ted Forrie, and an old acquaintance of Betty's, Elizabeth Carella, who though approximately the same age as Betty, looked a few years older, especially around the eyes, and had a noticeable amount of grey in her auburn hair. She worked for another intelligence agency, a relatively small one that had to work harder to justify it's existence, which probably accounted for Liz's appearance.
Over a year before she had tipped Betty off that Kim Possible might be heading for big trouble on Isle Drakkon, which certainly turned out to be true. Liz's job then had been to keep the idiotic plots that rookie analysts came up with from reaching the ears of idiots with the power to make them come true to the detriment of the agency or perhaps even the country. Now she apparently had more substantial duties.
"So let me get this straight, Ted," Betty addressed the FBI representative, "You've so far had seven of these men 'defect' from this villain-purging organization in the last two weeks, but your superiors chose to wait this long to let Global Justice know, when we were actually attacked by this group during the summer?"
Forrie looked distinctly uncomfortable, and genuinely so to Betty's eye. "Well, one reason for that reticence were rumors of a big shake-up at Global Justice, as well as not being told the whole story of the attack in question! Then there was the later incident where you needed the aid of US Army troops, an incident that had a security cover clamped down on it so fast it raised suspicions. And there have been plenty of rumors regarding it, the Secretary of the Air Force somehow being involved, the army troops, some kind of missile* or something landing near your base, though without any explosion registered! And the fact our own Director hasn't been fully briefed on it yet!"
Liz Carella cut in before Betty could reply. "That may be because we don't know how long he's going to be Director, there are plenty of substantial stories floating about to indicate he may not be much longer, so giving him that information to carry back to private life seems risky!"
Forrie nodded reluctantly, a sour expression on his face. "Okay, I'll admit that that's a legit concern, but let's forget the diversions and get down to business, shall we?" When no one raised an objection, he nodded and composed himself before beginning. "The first pair of these men turned themselves in at our Detroit Field Office eleven days ago. Two days later, another pair in Milwaukee, then a solo deserter in Buffalo the next day, then none for four days before the last pair in Lansing."
"They all fit the profile you gave us, Doctor Director, ex-military either US or Canadian, but no combat experience whatsoever. Many declared their desire to serve in combat roles to their superiors, but none ever did. And this may have made them frustrated enough to find an organization to 'rid the world of Evil' that promised them some action highly enticing." He then paused to allow questions.
"All of these walk-ins were in the Northern states," Liz Carella observed, "Has anyone contacted Canadian Authorities to find out if they've had anything similar occur?" Forrie appeared about to shake his head, but was interrupted by Graham Shields.
"We received notification from the RCMP three days ago about three men turning themselves in up there." Forrie frowned at first, then realized the import of the time and blushed slightly. "They have subsequently had two more, all expressing dissatisfaction with the 'new leadership' they have recently gained. One admitted he was primarily worried about his own skin, there have been a number of unexplained 'disappearances' of late from their ranks. A few may be these deserters, but not all!"
"So we might assume that this 'new leadership' is a good deal harsher then when General Dray ran the organization?" Liz queried.
Betty frowned, there was no proof at all beyond the manner of death of the drone pilot to suggest her brother's involvement, but if he was running the show... "I'm afraid one candidate for this 'new leadership' may be my brother, Sheldon." Abby suppressed a grimace while Graham's brow furrowed, neither apparently thinking the revelation to be a good idea.
Liz Carella's jaw dropped, while Forrie looked skeptical. "You mean somehow Willward brought your brother into it? But how? And on what do you base this assumption?"
"Mainly the means by which the presumed drone operator died, though I admit Gemini isn't the only person out there with a bionic hand! If he somehow found out who was running the operation, I'd have expected him to have them killed immediately. Or at least, six months ago I'd have expected it to go that way! But lately, there are signs that he's actually listening to others, and controlling his temper more. It's skimpy, but he may have seen the irony of turning that organization to his own use, whether the idea originated with him or not."
Neither of her online audience seemed wholly convinced, but neither seemed to be rejecting the idea. After consulting something out of Betty's view, Forrie nodded grudgingly. "All right, we'll see exactly what we can get out of our 'defectors' on the identity of their new boss, and let you know, Doctor Director." Something off screen at his end drew his attention, causing him to wince slightly, "And you too, of course, Elizabeth! Uh-Carella, I mean!" Now he grimaced in full measure at his own clumsiness.
"Glad to be remembered." Liz Carella responded drolly. The discussion ended shortly thereafter, with promises of full transcripts of the defectors' interviews being sent to all concerned parties.
As soon as the online connections were terminated, Betty Director looked at her two companions. "I suppose you both think I was premature to reveal our suspicions about Sheldon's involvement? Well, better then for them to discover it first and trumpet it back at us, as far as I'm concerned! And if they learned we had already suspected it and kept it secret it would hardly have helped our relationship with them."
"True," Graham Shields conceded, "But we're far from sure Gemini's involved ourselves! None of the agents we still have inside WWEE have passed any information suggesting it at all. Since we lost our best-placed asset in one of the attacks on their bases, we haven't gotten any information from the top tier at all. Such as no warning at all of Gemini attacking our..." He suddenly frowned, "We never determined exactly how Gemini learned of the previous attack on our base that left our defenses diminished, to allow him to put together such a quick strike to take advantage of it, did we?"
He saw that neither Betty nor Abby seemed impressed by his question, and realized he had come in third. Then another realization hit him, and he grimaced. "And investigating one of the only two possibilities, a traitor or infiltrator inside Global Justice, should have been my job at the time!"
Betty shook her head. "Not that you had a chance to do anything, with the pace of things! One attack after another, and then you were incapacitated along with the majority of my personnel! And you couldn't do anything during your recovery, doctor's orders, I believe?"
Graham shrugged. "Not a good enough excuse! There was nothing to have stopped me from at least using my brain on the problem! As for the other possibility, since we know some members of this organization we're hunting were in fact recruited from GJ, maybe it does reinforce the idea that Gemini infiltrated the anti-villain...we have got to come up with a proper name for those people, don't they have one of their own?"
Betty rolled her eye. "It would be convenient if they did, but apparently not! but if these desertions continue...if they are all desertions, and not a thinly disguised purge, possibly to replace key men with Gemini's own..." A low growl of frustration rumbled in her throat, "We need better intelligence, or this uncertainty is going to drive me crazy!"
"Well, on the bright side, they no longer have their own stealth bomber." Abby pointed out, then held up her tablet, "And this just in from the salvage operation on said aircraft! The bombs aboard do seem to be from the same source as the ones used in the later attacks when the bomber was employed, manufactured in a 'private' facility somewhere, location still undiscovered by any agency that speaks to us!" She shook her head. "Too bad it wasn't that installation in Canada, we'd have it behind us now!"
Betty shook her head. "If wishes were fishes..." Then her intercom buzzed. Frowning, she pushed one key. "Yes Grace?"
"Ma'am, I'm not sure how to tell you this...you have a call from Drew Lipsky on line one, and he says not to bother tracing it, he's in Jack Hench's office!" All three occupants of the office suffered a loosening of jaw muscles and some involuntary blinking before Betty recovered.
"Put him through, Grace..."

As it turned out, no discussion about Kim and Shego's nebulous relationship occurred, partially due to the game starting. Also because no one present wanted to process any more weirdness at the moment.
Now the game was ten minutes along and not providing much in the way of excitement. Ron had only appeared on the opening kick-off to GCU, and had not been involved in the tackle. The Engineers' offense had been fairly feeble to that point.
The Gladiators hadn't been much better, and the primary cause for their problems seemed to be that their highly touted quarterback, Frank Contreras, did not seem to be in sync with his teammates. He had also clearly displeased his coach by calling several audibles, each of which had resulted in long pass attempts to his favorite receiver, who was double-covered each time, resulting in one interception and no completions.
But as the camera kept switching to the head coach's reactions, Bonnie began to focus on an odd figure standing near the coach, frowning as she tried to remember where she had seen the man before.
"That guy may have played 1-A ball, but right now he doesn't look like he can manage Division III at all!" Shego observed before washing a handful of popcorn down.
"He played 1-A as a freshman, appeared in a major bowl for maybe ten minutes as an emergency back-up, ripped off a great run for a score, but that's all he's done to impress anyone!" Monique replied, "Everything else he did in that game turned to-uh, went south on the express! Then he found his grades were lacking, and had to switch to a 'less-pressurized' environment to improve academically." She looked away from the screen to find some very curious expressions directed at her. "Oh! When I dated Tad Rushton, he talked about the guy a bit, first he was sort of an idol, but then his performance was so disappointing after he transferred here!"
Kim frowned a bit. "Ron said the last two games between the schools were very lopsided in GCU's favor though?"
"Hello, Warren?" Kim turned a startled look towards Shego, who was had her cellphone out. Two things surprised the girl, the fact that said phone worked from the safehouse, and the fact that Shego had called Mego at all. "In twenty words or less, why did GCU stomp Go Tech the last two years, but can't seem to get going today?" Kim recovered from her surprise long enough to grab the remote and lower the volume on the TV, which hadn't been terribly loud in the first place.
Mego's voice came through clearly over Shego's phone. "Uh, well, besides the obvious that GCU is Div 2 and Tech is Div 3, Sam Barry was the reason! 3rd Team Division 2 All-American running back the last two years, he graduated last Spring." He paused briefly, probably wondering if Shego's '20 word' limit was literal, then continued, "So now they have a quarterback in his last year of eligibility who wants to impress the pros badly! The coach installed an option offense for this year, and you can see how well he's managed that!"
"Yeah, a couple of times already, maybe three, he's kept the ball himself when a pitch to the trailing back would have been the better option." Shego replied. She opened her mouth to continue, but was interrupted by Bonnie. "Hey-um, Warren? That odd little guy standing near the GCU head coach? Is he part of the faculty, or the coaching staff?"
"Uh, no, whoever? Never saw him before, and I don't think the coach really wants him there, I can tell by his body language, why?"
"It's just...I've seen him somewhere recently, I think...Yes! He was on Junior's computer, he's some kind of meta-physical-maybe, expert!" This caused the other three women in the room to focus more on the man, who was on screen only momentarily before the view switched to another camera.
Kim then reached for her Kimmunicator, lying on the central table. She worked the keys quickly, and Wade's holographic 'bust' appeared over the center of the table, and Charley's voice came through from upstairs as well. "What's up, Kim?"
Kim explained quickly. Wade nodded, "If it was on Junior's computer, I'll have it within five minutes!" He probably didn't notice the expression that brought to Kim's face, but that faded quickly. The sound was rapid keywork came over the connection.
"Bet Junior's anti-virus was no match for you, huh?" Shego quipped. The sounds of keys clacking stopped abruptly and a brief period of silence followed before Wade spoke.
"Actually...I provided Junior's anti-virus...I mean, he didn't know, I did trick him...his system was soooo vulnerable! His father gave him all sorts of security programs to install, but it involved too many steps...shouldn't talk about him like this, not now!" He grimaced. "But my system kept him safe, at least, from everyone but me."
"I'll send Saul across to check him out, Kim." Charley added, "Fred and Rufus should be adequate security for Ron for the moment."
When more then five minutes had passed, and the sounds of tapping keys continued with only brief breaks, Kim became concerned. The broadcast went to a commercial break as the first quarter ended, still scoreless.
"Wade? Find him yet?" Kim asked finally asked while making an effort not to sound impatient.
"What? Oh! Yes, I did, and found a whole lot more when I ran his name...he called himself Doctor Brattle when he communicated with Junior, but he's had several other names, according to Interpol. He's a con man, therefore not a big priority these days, but he's gotten around quite a bit. And yes, he claimed to be an expert on the 'metaphysical nature of things' for Junior, and made about 40,000 Euros with his act! Was exposed about three weeks ago, and had to abandon that identity and start running!"
"So whatever he's pretending to be here is probably quite different then his last con, unless he's stuck in a rut!" Shego observed.
"Interesting..." Came Charley's voice, "He's wired for sound, let's try to find and monitor his frequency..." There followed almost two minutes with no word from the girl, though they heard one of the Reeder sisters in the background. "Ah! Got it!" Charley exclaimed finally. Then a voice could be heard that caused Shego's eyebrows to climb.
"...just stay calm, we'll get our chance! I don't know why their coach hasn't put him in the game, but he has to, eventually! And remember, it's five grand if we get him benched, maybe a bonus if we can get a play overturned!"
"Well I'll be damned, Vinnie Wheeler back in the U, S, of A again!" Shego declared sourly, "Didn't expect him to get up his nerve again this quickly!"
"Profes..I mean Doc...Oh, you know who I mean!" Monique stammered out angrily, "Told me the guy was hiding in Singapore!"
Kim shrugged, brow deeply furrowed, "He can never stay anywhere for too long, there's always something from his past trying to catch up with him!" She shook her head angrily. "And it's obvious who he's talking about, Ron!"
Monique's eyes briefly crossed as she pondered, but then the light dawned. "Ah! His Mystic Monkey Power? That guy must be claiming to be able to see, or sense it, or something!"
"So he accuses Ron of using it if he makes a big play, trying to get him tossed out, and also have the play nullified!" Bonnie chimed in. She then noticed both Shego and Kim studying her and Monique with suspicious looks on their faces. Then Shego spoke, "Looks like the start of a 'Crime Solvers' chapter for Go City, doesn't it?" That drew a scoff, a raspberry, and a snort of amusement from her audience.
"Okay, we've triangulated Wheeler's position!" Charley announced. "But me or the girls will need to use either Thundagirl or a taxi to get there!"
Shego stood up. "Give the address to me, this is not a job for those restrained by the law of the land!" She then looked towards the passage to the elevator and froze, a look of pure shock crossing her features. Seeing it, Kim shot to her feet and turned as well, and was equally surprised.
JJ Ko stood there. And next to her stood Motor Ed Lipsky. "Actually, Cousin Drew needs to see you as soon as possible, so give me Vinnie's address, and I'll go have a word with him!" The smile that accompanied that statement did not betoken good times for Mister Vincent Wheeler.
Shego turned to regard Kim, Bonnie, and Monique suspiciously. "Okay, did any of you add any 'special ingredients' to the snack mix?"

*The 'missile' was actually an aircraft designed and flown by Slim Possible, bringing his own chosen 'posse' to help Doctor Director.
Can't believe I haven't posted in this story since April! So, going to put this up now and resolve the football-related crisis in the next chapter. Whether or not what's going on with Drakken, et al, is revealed or not I can't promise.
